Excellent place to enjoy your trip
A tired traveller Aug 17, 2009
The Crowne plaza is a nice place to stay while visiting the Niagara. We were a family of 4 visiting overnight. Our plan was ... to enjoy the falls at night and then take the Maid of the mist in the morning before driving to NYC. We arrived at the hotel at 4:30 pm after a 9 hr drive. Check in was quick and the hotel staff was courteous and helpful. Parking was also cheap @ 5$ for the day near the hotel. The park is less than a mile from the hotel and after resting for a while, we were able to walk to the park and enjoy breathtaking views of the Niagara in all its beauty, lit at night time. There were also plenty of restaurants around the hotel, including a morning buffet available at the hotel that was fairly decent. Beds were comfortable and the room was fairly big.(Not too big but not too small either for 2 queen beds). The next morning we got up and were able to quickly purchase tickets and head to the falls and take the boat ride. We later went back to the hotel and checked out at noon. Checkout was also a breeze since everything was paid for and we were only charged for the parking. The room was neat and clean and over-all there was nothing that I could rate the hotel down on. There was a big crowd at the hotel, probably because of all the packaged tours at the hotel, so probably our floor was a bit noisy at times, nothing too loud to be disturbing. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

Adequate hotel.

Crowne Plaza compares favorably to the inn where we had stayed on our previous visit to Niagara Falls. The pluses include: + ... spacious parking lot + clean rooms + quiet location though not particularly close to the waterfall itself + proximity to a casino with all the dining options inside + good breakfast buffet at a reasonable rate + room cardkeys worked very well On the flip side it felt like the hotel was understaffed. I can't say the personnel was unfriendly just a bit rushed -- hardworking people too busy to pay full attention to us. The hallway on our floor could have been more welcoming. All in all the hotel was a totally reasonable if unremarkable place to stay.

Average hotel for the high cost. 1st room, the comforter was dirty. SMALL bathrooms, not for those seeking 1st class lodging. ... Vey comfortable beds! One restaurant or should I say, Sports Bar.... Unflexible as far as changing reservation. WILL NOT STAY THERE AGAIN!!!

Smelly stay
Tired traveller Jun 20, 2009
The room reeked of smoke and was supposed to be a smoke-free room. They promised to send up an ionizer to help with the ... smell - it never came. We woke up in the middle of the night to a bad burning smell coming from the a/c. Couldn't go to sleep after that. They were too busy checking in other people to attend to the problems with the tv and smell in the room.

probably wouldnt stay here again, not because of the hotel, but would stay on the canadian side. Not much to do around this ... hotel, except for the casino. Lots more to do on the canadian side. We werent in our room very much so would probably just go with the HoJo on clifton hill. Right in the middle of everything..... The crown plaza was very nice though. Had a great time.

Stayed at the Crowne for two night's.We enjoyed the location of the Hotel it is directly across the street from the casino ... and within walking distance to the falls and state park. Our non smoking room with two Queen size beds was very comfortable. The best beds we have had in a hotel in quite some time.Parking at the hotel is free make sure you get your ticket validated at the front desk. There is also a Starbucks and a comfy sports bar downstairs. This is an above average hotel and the price was right.
