Don't know where to begin. THe gym was awesome. I have never seen so much equipment in such a large area. I only found out ... about it the LAST day of my trip. Shame. Poor security there. Lots of rift raft walking around because they run so many conferences--though I felt safe....but I'm a big guy. They charge for EVERYTHING. Internet is $10 a day...crazy. Other than that, the pillows were great and house keeping was very very slow and lazy. Very expensive hotel for such OLD room...although refurbished.

No Parking Jul 6, 2009
Overall my experience was a positive one, and the hotel is beautiful. The only negative things I would say is the the rooms ... were very small, and that it was $21 per night for parking. This should be noted somewhere on the web site. You can park across the street in public parking but that is $15 and you cannot come and go with your car.

Very close to "the Great American Ballpark" was great. We asked clerks about where to eat supper and no one mentioned a food ... court in the very same hotel. We discovered the food court the next day ourselves while exploring.

Great Place!
Katie Jun 28, 2009
This hotel was great! The decor takes you back to the art deco era and makes you feel lavish and special. Our room ... overlooked the river and the staff was more than helpful. The only thing we didn't like was that the pool and spa was located downstairs in a separate gym/workout facility that lacked the 'special' atmosphere and closed at 8pm. Also, the parking was $21 if you chose valet and $15 if you parked across the street, which you aren't informed about unless you ask. But honestly it was a great stay.

NEVER AGAIN!!!!
Furious Jun 18, 2009
I arrived and was told they were overbooked and they had put me in another hotel on the other side of town. I had ... specifically booked the room because of the location its proximity to the locations I needed to be. If I had to be moved, I would have missed appointments. After much heated discussion, however, they gave me in a room in the hotel, albeit a "parlor room" with a temporary bed. Why we needed to fight if they had a room is beyond me. Also they did not contact me in advance of this change, claiming they did not have my contact information, because I booked through Orbitz. Clearly, however, they could have that information from Orbitz or had Orbitz contact me. Nevertheless, changing hotgels would have been unacceptable. As it is, I still did not get what I paid for. And I don't believe this is the typical "overbooked" situation in which they merely had a reservation. My room was prepaid, so they already had my money. I will never reserve a room in that hotel again!

Add ons way too costly
Alan Jun 7, 2009
Great Hotel but for $150.00 it should have included contnintal breakfast (cost $33.00 for two people off a buffet bar where ... most of the food was cold), and it cost another $21.00 per night to park there. This is robbery, why don't they charge for toilet flushes and window views? When I price a hotel I want all the charges included. We were not told that breakfast was not included, nor told that the parking was an additional $21.00 a night. What a rip off!

Hotel Stay
midas May 25, 2009
Very beautiful hotel aith a lot of amanities and dining options. The healthclub and shopping were very nice. In my room, the ... bathroom door would not close/ lock. The air conditioning stayed at 74 degrees and there was no way to change it. I found the valet a nice option, but it should not be mandatory. It gets expensive to have to tip someone every single time I need my car. I am perfectly capable to park my own car and it should be an option as it forces me to tip every time.

Great Place for a Weekend Jaunt
Columbus Baseball Fan May 24, 2009
We were in Cincy for the Reds/Indians baseball game, and we had a great package for the Netherlands Hilton. The staff was ... extremely helpful and efficient, and our "mini-suite" was very large, clean, and comfortable. The location can't be beat--just a few blocks from the stadiums, and a block or two away from Fountain Square. A beautiful old Art Deco Hotel which is being maintained very well. Get the package including the Belvedere Club...very nice continental breakfast, and a great terrace overlooking the city.

My overall rating of the Hilton was good. I enjoyed the fact that when in the room, you could not hear anyone else next door ... or upstairs. It was very peaceful. I thought the bathroom was small, a little too small but overall the room was very nice.

Paul Sep 29, 2007
The charm of this old hotel can be found in the Art Deco style of the large bar/lounge and dining room. The room we occupied ... was small and somewhat dated looking but clean and functional. The hotel's location is superb. We would rate this hotel 4 stars and a decent value for the money.
