As long as you are not claustrophobic, do the Mayan Mezcal "sweat lodge" ritual. QUITE an experience.

Zoetry was poetry
NONAME Sep 14, 2009
Overall, a fantastic time. A few things can be improved upon, but mostly minor. The room service was a bit spotty, most ... likely due to my inept Spanish. Fridge in room barely kept your beverages cool. They should have an ice machine, but do not. If you need ice, you have to ask at the bar or get from room service. Remember that this is spa-food portions, so if you are really hungry, order an extra appy. Bring DEET, and don't forget anything. The place is isolated so if you need anything, the gift shop is not cheap. Besides that, a wonderful time, great service, and friendly staff.

Peaceful Relaxing Experience
travellingmom Aug 23, 2009
Went there for five nights to get away and chill out and this was the perfect place to do it. You will be waited on hand and ... foot here by staff that want nothing more than to please you. Lovely rooms, location and people. If you are looking for night life, you will not find any here. No bands for dancing, no singers or any other type of entertainment in the evening.

Very nice but not outstanding for the $$
reviewer May 28, 2009
Lovely property and friendly staff. Good 1st impression with airport transfer. Very clean. Staff may be at a disadvantage due ... to lack of proper management to help them out enough. It seems they could maximize efficiency in ways so the staff wouldn't have to do quite as much. Several glitches in service that keep me from saying it is 5 star service. I'd say this is a 4 star place with 6 star prices because they over promise what is delivered.

A Perfect Resort for a Perfect Vacation!
Newly Engaged May 27, 2009
There are so many good things to say about this resort, I really don't know where to begin! To start, the location was even ... better than I had anticipated. It really is a short drive from the airport 20 minutes at the most! But you still feel like you are far enough away from the craziness that can be Cancun. You can only access the resort by passing through two security gates which not only gives you a sense of security, but adds to the feeling of seclusion. The staff waits on you hand and foot the moment you arrive. The service was outstanding from start to finish. Every staff member was friendly and engaging. They really went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable during our stay. Food at this resort is amazing. Everything they had to offer was delicious and healthy! Whether you were sitting down to a nice dinner or just placing an order by the pool, the presentation was unbelievable. And room service was just as good if not better! The amenities at the resort really made the difference. The private beach made for great morning walks. We spent the better part of our day relaxing by the pool or taking a swim in the heated salt water pool. Tennis courts and a variety of water sports like wind surfing and kayaking offered just enough to play. The suites are quite honestly spectacular. We were blown away the moment we walked in. If you are searching for the perfect romantic getaway, this is it! Every single time we went back to our room it was cleaned and organized and ready for us. It was almost if we hadn't even set foot in it yet. And the nightly turn-down service was amazing. When we returned each evening, the lights were dimmed, robes and flowers were on the bed, jazz was playing on the stereo - it was perfect. You'll find that this resort uses the term "Endless Privileges" it really was just that. Anything and everything you could imagine you have. The resort is beautiful. The staff is wonderful. The food is delicious. The experience is breathtaking. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing, peaceful vacation. We are already looking at the calendar to plan a return trip!

Very small & quiet
Richard Feb 17, 2008
Paraiso de la Bonita was a lovely resort. It was rather small and extremely quiet. The dining options were very limited (only ... 2 places to eat). It is 35 minutes from Cancun and 35 minuted from Playa Del Carmen which were your only other dining options. We splurged for the private plunge pool suite which turned out to be a waste as the pool was freezing and there was a constant breeze. Overall the staff was great although their English was often minimal.
