IN TERRIBLE NEED OF RENOVATION
Traveling Couple Dec 3, 2009
The location to all the sights was excellent. We played golf and visited Epcot Center. The hotel itself was in dire need of ... renovation, we wouldn't recommend a stay there. Restaraunt and bar area had a very musty smell and was not a place we would have dined at. We found dirty towels stuffed in the chair under the desk when we arrived which was pretty disgusting and we didn't receive a room cleaning one day.

Excellent location to visit Disney parks
David Aug 23, 2009
This hotel has an excellent location when staying outside of Disney Resort. It's quiet, you can really rest (which is ... something that you really need) after a long day of park hopping. Two bad things: 1) They didn't put mouth wash every day. 2) Their business center only give 30 min free of Internet access.

Very Unpleasant Staff
Worst Hotel Ever! Aug 18, 2009
The staff was very unpleasant. The rooms were not very clean. Though the reservation was for four people in the room, ... everyday they only gave us towels and wash cloths for three people. Old food was left in room after cleaning service which left a bad smell in the room. VERY ANNOYING! Will not ever stay there again. Will deter any other perpective guests. It also took them two days to unlock the inroom safe.

Not What Was Expected
Scooby-Doo Aug 10, 2009
Once we arrived at the hotel, we noticed automatically it was an old hotel that was renovated by the tinted windows and ... balconies. The valet tried very hard to park our vehicle but my boyfriend told him no thanks. It costs $10 to valet when you can park your vehicle yourself for free in the same parking spaces. The lobby is beautiful but once we were walking to our room we noticed a funny odor and the old carpet and dusty window sills. Once we entered our room it had a very moldy smell. The bathroom scared me for the simple fact it seemed so old and was dark. It did not even offer a continental or complimentary breakfast with bagels and coffee. There was a lady in the lobby selling coffee and donuts from her cart.

Mixed feelings
GrapeCatch Aug 2, 2009
I called this review "mixed feelings" because there is simply no other way to describe it. This is my second stay here, so ... I'm glad to have a point of reference. The location is just fabulous - less than 2 miles to Disney and in the heart of anything you might need: groceries, gas, restaurants, medical facilities etc. Getting INTO and OUT OF the hotel was a bit frustrating. It's at the corner of a very busy intersection, right by an entrance to Disney and right by I-4. It is what it is, so if you're driving - leave early for the parks and if you don't...have patience. I sometimes travel with my dogs, so the fact that they do not charge me extra for them is RARE for Orlando hotels - and I am most grateful!! However, their policy is that you are not allowed to leave your animal(s) in the room unattended. I think I understand the intent of the policy, but find is most unrealistic...when you're on vacation. They have a huge place to walk your animals and that is again, rare in Orlando hotels. Overall I would consider this a pet friendly hotel. The room I felt was a very spacious and tastefully decorated - nothing over the top or sub-par. They don't have mini fridges, which would be nice. I didn't realize how much I missed having one till I stayed here. The elevators are painfully slow, and the "city view" rooms are horribly noisy at any hour of the day. They have quite a bit of parking, but not enough. This time, I had to park in the "back 40" one night and illegally the other. Not much that can be done about it, so I'm not complaining, I'm just saying beware. Had their breakfast buffet for the first time and thought that was nice - good variety, good taste, always hot and cooked just right! However, they do automatically include a 15% gratuity. I am vehemently opposed to this, but the wait staff was very attentive and friendly. $15 for breakfast was a bit more than I wanted to pay, but was glad I tried it. The staff is very friendly, checking in/out was easy, the gift shop had good hours, and the pool area was nice. I will stay here again, but would rate the value of the room as "don't pay more than $75 a night".

Overall a good bargain. The shuttle missed us one night but the guy who drove us back on Wednesday night and the guy who ... took me to the airport (a little steep @ $55.00) was very good. The breakfast was great, the ladies working (one German, one from Estonia, and an awesome lady who seated me today 8/23 were fantastic), they remembered my daughter and I and our preferences. Food was fresh and tasty. Not sure who the lady who seated me was, she was hispanic with an awesome accent and made me feel at home. I would stay here again.
