Great looking room. Attractive motel. I noticed odor in the room and would not have stayed in that room another night. ... My husband complained noisy fan with air and heat.

I hope I just got the room with odor. Since around the gulf it may have been just the location. We are now in a LaQuinta in Stamford CT and it is great. You helped me book the flight and car. Every thing went great.

We were there for business & pleasure,looking for areas to possibly buy a home. This hotel was a great location,close to ... major roads,25 mins to airport,easy to get around to the beach areas,and 5 mins. to bridge to Sanibel. We will stay here again!

great room with a great location close to the beaches without the price of the beach front hotels. plan to stay again. Staff ... seem committed to providing superior customer service. only had two issues: room had a musty smell that seemed to emit from the AC unit. Also we had a room with a door to the adjoining room. It was not insulated and you could hear the individual next door quite clearly....albeit he was a bit on the loud mouth side. still all in all a great room for the price

The hotel was great. The people that work there are wonderful. I had a bathroom door that was hard to open and they moved us ... to another room. The next rooms A/C quit working and they replaced the whole A/C unit in 2 hours. Reasonable rates, location. I will difenitly stay there again if in the area.

We switched rooms because the first room smelled a lot like mold. I had a heavy headache after a few minutes. The staff was ... very nice and helpful. The new room still smelled a little bit moldy, however, we liked the second room much more. The breakfast was great!

This was a perfect spot to refresh memories of Sanibel & Captiva Island and central to looking for a place to winter. I ... did both and was more than comfortable with this lodging. The bed and pillows in my room could use a little updating, but overall, a great deal for the price paid and location. The pool and hot tub were A+

If you don't want to pay the high prices of the B&Bs on Sanibel-Captiva island, you'll want to check out this location. It is ... literally the last hotel before hitting the toll plaza. The only downside was the overwhelming musky-moldy smell when we first came to the room. Reading the reviews of other vacationers, we came prepared with our own spray fabric refresher - which did the trick! Would definitely stay there again.

"WARNING...WARNING...MOLD IN THIS HOTEL"

We stayed here a few years ago and it wasn't that bad. Especially for the price. But this time we noticed right away a ... weird smell when we walked in the room. We thought it was because the room was closed up for awhile so we turn the a/c on to clear it out. But smell stayed. Later my wife went to the bathroom and closed the door which is a pocket door that slides into the wall. The whole backside of the door was covered in black sooty mold. I had a pocket flashlight in my travel bag and I aimed it into the wall pocket that the door goes into and inside the wall was covered in mold also. Unfortunately we stayed the night because it was so late when we checked in. But our breathing was bad the next day. I told the clerk at the front desk about the mold on the door and in wall. She said she would have housekeeping clean the door with bleach. My thought is that's not going to do anything to solve the problem.. but no refund offered. STAY AWAY FROM THIS MOLD INFESTED HOTEL

This hotel is near the beaches and Sanibel. Great location, great staff. Facilities are top notch, served a breakfast each ... day with waffles and cereal, fruit, bagels and muffins. Asst. Mngr [...] is courteous and professional, and everyone cares about your stay. Rooms are clean and spacious, mine hade a mini fridge and micro, coffee maker and desk with seperate sitting area. Best deal near the beaches!

The hotel was centrally located in Fort Myers and about 10 minutes from Sanibel and Captiva. The hotel was very clean and the ... room was very big. Also the price was awesome when compared to other prices in the area. I am most likely going back for the fall season and would not mind staying there again.

This hotel was such a great price and in such a great location. It's less then 2 minutes to get over to bridge to ... Sanibel/Captiva. It's right next to a grocery store and minutes away from anything else in Fort Myers. The staff was very friendly. The rooms were promply cleaned each day and there was a continental breakfast. The pool was HUGE, actually olympic size and there was a hot tub as well. The staff was kind enough at night to give everyone a warning before locking up when even though no one should have been in the pool anyways. I would definitely stay here again. This was my second stay at a La Quinta and it was great each time.

the first 2 rooms we were given in bldg 200 were mildew and mold smelling i requested different building and were ok when i ... asked staff if all rooms were moldy she said some were and some were not. room choices were knowingly given of mold smelling rooms. bldg 200 needs to be gutted and redone

Publix next door saved us tons! But when we wanted a restaurant, had trouble finding one. Had to eat fast food. Microwave & refrigerator was a great plus. Great free breakfast (liked this the most!) Didn't get lost as it was on the road to Sanibel.

Get a map before heading over to Sanibel and Captiva to avoid making any wrong turns or stop at the very convenient Information Building along the road once you get to Sanibel. This will make your experience on the island so much more complete and you will see the reason why so many people love these islands and continue to return.
