Edmonton Marriott River Cree - Excellent
Sir Scott Jun 28, 2009
New, clean, quiet, and with outstanding, outstanding service. An excellent value. I usually do not bother with reviews, but ... this place is really good. The breakfast buffet is as good as I have ever had anywhere, including the famous ones in Vegas.

Very nice

We had some trouble with our baggage (thanks Air Canada) and initially the front desk refused accepting the baggage because ... they didn't look deep enough into their guest list. The room was booked on my name, the luggage under my husband's name. I received a warm apology from the front desk when Air Canada alerted me to the refusal. Stuff happens sometimes. Room very nice, bedding fantastic. We didn't have time to eat at the hotel, it was just a night over.

the good, the nice, and the MISSING
Gagogid Apr 22, 2009
this Mariott hotel, WAS PERFECT bcause of the location of the conference/training held there, but other than that, no ... microwave in the room, no accesible restaurant on site ,, this need elaborate. need a quick bite, go to one of the food services, service is so bad, just like gordon ramsay kitchen nightmares. so went to the other restaurant, ALL BUFFET service, or line-up to be accomodated. we just don't have the luxury of time. one hour break only, buffet or sit down fine dining is out of the question, so the sport bar look ok for a quick burger, sorry no luck, in 55 minutes, got served with drinks only, no burger. so just bought a sandwich @ star buck coffee. if room has a small fridge and microwave, the trip would be GREAT.

Extra Attentive to Kids
Kimberly May 26, 2008
What made our visit to the Marriott River Cree resort so special was the attentiveness the concierges and restaurant hostess' ... displayed towards my son. He had never been so spoiled. Each time they saw him they let him choose a small toy from a toy box. The concierges took time to listen to his stories about Spiderman that seemed to go on forever. When he was done they often taught him a few words in the native Cree language or bent down to talk to him at his level about his interests. Although there was not any play equipment for him to play on, he loved going to the attached hockey rink to watch a game. One of the winning players actually picked him up and took him out for a spin on the ice. Now he is excited to learn more about hockey. The friendly, natural way the staff at River Cree had with kids is one of the unforced elements that made our stay such a pleasure. Of course being a Marriott, the room and environs were top notch, but the service levels were a pleasant surprise.

Great business amenities
Traci Jul 5, 2007
I enjoyed the comfort of my room after a long day training my employees in your conference room. The gym was excellent and ... having Starbucks on site was a huge bonus. My ceasar salad and room service was superb. I wil return many times to continue doing business with your hotel.
