Fabulous!! Unforgettable!!
J&D Nov 1, 2009
The first person we saw was the car attendants. Very friendly and directed us were we needed to go. Received free drinks ... and GREAT Breakfast buffet. We rode around and saw some sights, went to The Shell Factory. I would go back again, really didn't want to leave beautiful weather and a very quiet location. Everything was so clean; everytime we turned around someone was wiping down the elevators or mopping. Also they have a GREAT SPA; I had an Ocean Express Facial and Pedisage. It was GREAT!!!

Nice place to stay
Beth Oct 14, 2009
Great place - nice staff - wonderful room and view - great maid service - loved the beach and pool. Only problem - ice maker ... didn't work but they brought me a bag of ice. Ice maker didn't get fixed. Problem - they charged an extra $10 a night that wasn't over and above the room price - I didn't get to use the spa because of business but they still charged me.

Great family hotel -spectacular location
Harry Oct 13, 2009
Our family had a great experience staying at this hotel in early October. The weather was brilliant for our entire stay. The ... location of the hotel is just spectacular, located only 100m from the Gulf. Our 5 and 9 year old just loved the biggest pool and stayed there for hours every day. We had a 1 bdr villa in the White Sand Building, with plenty of space and breathtaking views of the Gulf and the sunset. Ideally one should have had a villa on one of the higher floors. From our 3rd floor villa we heard a lot of noice from the pool area during day time. Elevator capasity is a little limited during the most busy periods of the day. Our experience with the staff was generally positive, but some are more attentive than others. The breakfast buffet is very recommendable, while the menu in Bongo Bar&Grill is rather limited and kind of confusing. After staying for 10 days and making several requests we were kind of dissapointed that they would not allow a later check-out than noon (we had an evening flight out of Fort Myers and would have preferred to enjoy parts of the afternoon at the hotel). All in all a very good experience, and we plan to return!

Fabulous
Melodee Oct 8, 2009
We had a very relaxing vacation with fabulous views. The weather was perfect and the staff was very friendly and ... accomidating. We really enjoyed having two bedrooms and two bathrooms since we were married during this visit and had two children with us.It gave us plenty of privacy and no waiting for the bathroom. Also having separate tv viewing areas meant the kids could watch tv and we didn't have to. Having a washer and dryer available in the room was a plus as we did laundry before we left for home so we would not have tons of laundry to do when we arrived at home. We loved having the Tiki bar to have afternoon drinks. And the ability to walk the beach to the pier for additional shopping and dining. We enjoyed beautiful sunset views and the sand felt like we were walking in brown sugar. We could see dolphins and manatees from the beach.

Nice rooms with great gulf views. Friendly staff at check-in and at pool bar. Only minor complaint would be not having any HD ... channels on the two 32 inch LCD tv's in the bedroom and living room. Not good on a football weekend and the on duty maintenance man spent a hour in my room trying to access the requested local channels.

A beautiful place with tranquil surroundings. Received 2 complimentary cocktails and free full breakfast buffet each morning ... ! Room had a balcony overlooking over the pool and right out into the Gulf Of Mexico. Went deep sea fishing nearby. Laid on the beach everyday and read on the balcony late into the evening. If not the best, one of the best and most relaxing trips my wife and I have ever taken. Staff was very attentive, friendly, and efficient. Convenient on site parking right under our building.

we stayed at the pink shell resort in a one-bedroom villa. it was OUTSTANDING! the pics do not do it justice. it is much ... better in person: washer/dryer, dishwasher, king-sz bed, accomodated also w/ dishes and silverware. it is a family-oriented place, but very quiet and relaxing. we went there for our honeymoon and loved every minute of the beach and the pool. the staff was also very friendly and helpful....from the housekeeping to the pool attendants to the lobby staff. we ate @ all 3 restaurants: jacks for breakfast, and then bongos & jo jos for snacks. for transportation, you can rent a bike for a reasonable fee, or take the trolley to "time square", where there's the shops and dining. we recommend dining @ the smokin' oyster brewery and shop @ the shipwreck gift shop. also....lani kai is a diamond in the rough....maine lobster for $16.95 and it was terrific! and we were able to walk the beach at night....every night back to our hotel. would we go back to the pink shell? absolutely! i've only been home about 2 hours and i miss it already!

You couldn't ask for a better location we stayed in the Beach Villas and enjoyed the ocean view. The staff was very friendly ... and extremely helpful. I was traveling with my sons who are 19 and 22 they enjoyed the pool and Bongos good food but a little pricey. The majority of the guests were families with small children so I don't think we will be coming back.

Super spoiled kid!! Aug 18, 2009
My husband and I along with our 8 yr old daughter came down for some much needed R&R. We were looking for nice place to ... relax by the pool &/or ocean. The Pink Shell exceeded our expectations. We were excited because of the web details but the pictures & detail online did not do it justice. We had a one bedroom suite in the White Sands Villa and we were beyond thrilled. VERY clean and big! The bed was so comfortable!!!The enclosed porch was wonderful overlooking the ocean. It is like being in a condo complex with all the hotel amenities!!! The octo-pool was fantastic. We couldn't get our daughter out of the water and there were plenty of lounge chairs around the pool deck. The pool bar/restaurant was great for lunch and not overly priced. Food was actually very good! We rented the bikes and went shopping down the street, but we also walked a few times also. Good restaurants in town also. The employees were soooo nice!! Esp down by the pool. The kids activities and the daily Ice Cream bar was a big hit with our daughter and the other kids!! WE WILL DEFINATELY BE BACK NEXT YEAR!!! AWESOME FAMILY VACATION!!
