we were on the ground floor - people kept bumping into our door and dragging their luggage across the sidewalk which made a ... lot of noise. Also, the remote didn't work and our sheets were too small for our beds so they kept coming un-tucked. It would have also been nice to have a hotel shuttle to take us to the Philips Arena for our conference. Breakfast was nice and it was fairly comfortable in the room, considering.

PACouple Sep 8, 2009
The room we booked was not available but the hotel upgraded us to suite. The hot tub next to the pool was more of a luke warm ... to cool tub. This hotel is right next to I85 so the location is good for getting around but a littel noisy. They say they are walking distance to the shops and restaurant, which is kinda true, but the area you really want to be in is more than 5 blocks away. The $15 charge for parking was unexpected based on the price of the room, and we had problems everyday getting in and out with cards not working and such. Generally we skip the free breakfast and should have this time as well. The toaster for the items to be warmed was like holding a match to an iceburg. They ran out of butter rather early we were there at 9am and it was never refilled even after asking the staff. This was not our first choice, but since there was so much going on in the city this holiday weekend this was one of the few places we could get in midtown. It was not the worst stay I have ever had, and the room was clean. Personally I would not stay here again but for the price it is ok.

It was a trip to visit family and the hotel was conveniently located right off the interstate not far from my family. The ... staff was friendly and the rooms were clean, but the gated parking lot was frustrating due to the fact that the card had to be reprogrammed multiple times each day of our stay. Also, had I known that you had to pay for parking I would have invested that money in a fancier hotel. It was a good location though.

The Atlanta downtown had so-so nightlife, with most of the places closing at midnight. Be prepared to catch a taxi or drive to hit the cooler spots in Buckhead, Midtown, or even the outlying parts of town. Many of those bars and clubs are open to 3, and some even to 5.
