Great Hotel Great Service
Ice Cream Man Nov 8, 2009
I thought everything was great about this hotel with the exception of the Post Office next door. At least I believe that's ... what it was. Usually about 4:00am a truck would show up and was tough to sleep after that because of the racket of loading and unloading. My guess is a room in the front side of the hotel probably doesn't have this problem. But really overall I enjoyed my stay here and would do it again.

Most people will tell you the best way to get here is the 215 to St. Rose Parkway. I found that taking the 15 south to St Rose was a better route as it avoids construction on the other side of St. Rose.

"Excellent getaway for the price"
Frequent Traveler Sep 14, 2009
Ive stayed at multiple hotels in the Vegas area and this one is by far the best Ive had the pleasure to visit. The rooms were ... more than adequately equipped with furnishings and appliances. I also thoroughly enjoyed the use of the free Wi-fi and the business center. The continental breakfast buffet was par among hotels as far as having the same food options but it was always kept well stocked. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Overall this was a great experience and will definitely stay at this hotel again.

Very nice place. Most comfortable bed I've had in a while. Room has all you need, fridge, microwave, iron, hair dryer, safe ... and free internet. Had the free breakfast one morning and it was fine. Access will be a little easier when road construction is done. Very clean. Staff very professional.

Thin walls
John Jun 8, 2009
The walls are too thin and even though this is a business-type hotel 2 men decided to party hard in the room next to us on ... Thursday and Friday nights. They made so much noise that we were woken from sleep around 2am and we could hear their exact words! (One was commenting on the other vomiting). The desk clerk on duty seemed paralized as to what to do. The second night the men brought back 2 women who were loud laughers. The desk clerk did sternly tell the men to quiet down and that seemed to work...and the women left. It was too late for us, as we had to leave a few hours later for an early flight! Partiers should choose a hotel near the strip. Too bad considering the rooms were clean and the location was convenient. B'fast was good and the internet in the room is very convenient. Business people who need a good night sleep beware!

Wonderful staff
Kelly Jul 27, 2008
The staff were very friendly & helpful and provide a local shuttle service that was excellent. The room was extremely clean, ... had a mini-fridge and microwave-they looked new, but I didn't use them. The breakfast was very nice-lots of options. The only real problem with this hotel was there was no shuttle from the airport, but since it was ~10mi away, I can see that not being a priority. The Henderson area was nice, but if you're going to see Vegas, you may want to try somewhere closer-it's ~20 min. taxi to the strip. If you were into playing golf, shopping, etc... then definitely check this place out. I was there for a wedding and it was convenient for the Henderson area.

Lots of useful shopping nearby. Nothing terribly unique that I saw (standard mini-mall stores: Target, Office Max, Cheesecake Factory, etc...), but wonderful when you've forgotten something.

WOW!
David Feb 3, 2008
My wife asked me why I spent so much for a hotel room and so far from the Las Vegas Strip...then she saw our room. The ... windows (plural) faced the Strip. The third floor had a great view of the Strip, even though it was miles away. The room was one of the best we had ever been in- it was a suite (and it was sweet). There was a balcony and a kitchenette. I do believe we had the thought of living there. Breakfast was above average. The other patrons were very friendly, like we all shared the same secret. Being a pilot, I was interested in the proximity to Henderson Airtport which was only a few blocks away. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my pilot friends and to others.

Really Nice Hotel
Rebecca Jan 20, 2008
Our first stay not only with Wingate, but in the Las Vegas area, and the hotel exceeded our expectations. The hotel was very ... clean, with easy access from the freeway, and the rooms were comfortable and large. Distance to the main strip is not far. The bathrooms were nicely marbled and with enough counter space to accommodate more than one person's toiletries easily. Being away from the main strip, the hotel was nice and quiet. Restaurant and gas station conveniently next to the hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel if going to the Las Vegas area.

Dustin Dec 9, 2007
This hotel is located in the hills area of henderson and is relatively close to the strip. I was only there two nights but ... was very pleased with the upkeep and the amenities because I met my sister, her husband, and newborn there. My sister and her husband also loved the wingate by windham and 10-20 minute drive from the strip. If you will be bringing a baby to the vegas area for whatever reason, this would be the place to stay as it is a non-smoking hotel. Definitely stay there if you light good clean value.

Robert Sep 29, 2007
This place was your typical business hotel. Not very close to the strip, so you need your own car to get places. Excellent ... place to stay for the value. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a great place without paying the high cost of one of the resorts, yet we could still visit all of the places we wanted to.
Traveler type: Business
The Las vegas strip is about 15 to 20 minutes by car. Not too far. Close by are a lot of places to eat, shop, see movies, without the costs of the mega resorts.
