Great stay. No complains at all!

I traveled to Orlando to celebrate my birthday at Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios. I searched for all types of ... hotels and decided to go with LBV resort and spa, because the how can you go wrong with 50 dollars cash back at check in which you can use it for anything in the hotel plus a 20% discount on all purchases. As we entered the hotel area, we self parked the car, since I didnt care to valet the car and we are an athletic couple so walking did not matter to us. The hotel is updated on modern, flat screen T.v's everywhere and chic decor. I honestly don't know what the other review's are talking about when they say "it need's updating"? Listen I payed 130 dollars a night (2) in total, after taxes and all it came out to 290. We ordered in the first night and it was, good pizza, descent wine, and clean utensils. We used our 50 dollar gift they gave us, though forgot to use the 20% discount card, our fault, oh well! The bar staff was friendly and kept our drinks filled, they even have a Wii in there for you to play! I thought that was cool, though we didnt play. We ordered a lot of drinks, well we closed the place and the total was less than $150, and we drank a whole lot!!! cheap prices for drinks makes me happy coming from expensive Miami, FL. In Miami you pay 20-30 dollars a drink!!! I'm not rich nor poor, but mama didnt raise no dummy. Thats just dumb to pay that much for a drink, someone needs to regulate this, oh well thats why I dont go to those places anymore and if I do ,I make sure I pre party with my friends and buy just 1 drink. The rooms in this hotel were great, my friends stayed here too, and they were comfortable and gave me kudos for finding such a great place. The elevators are fast too, I never waited for one and it beams you to your floor star trek fast! I live in a condo on the 29 floor and I wish these elevators were that fast. Clean towels, clean sheets, clean bathroom, and the cleaning staff are trustworthy a major plus on my book. We never went to the gym nor the pool, but im sure these ameneties were just as good. Overall experience, 100% grade.

Great Trip & Wonderful Hotel
Randy & Lisa Dec 16, 2009
We came for an advance 30th anniversary vacation and stayed in the Buena Vista area where we spent our honeymoon many years ... ago. The Buena Vista Palace exceeded our expectations. Everything was perfect for us. We slept in the most comfortable bed I have ever had at a hotel. I couldn't believe the water pressure in the shower. It was so strong and you hated getting out of the shower. Our room was cleaned immaculately every day and it was a pleasure coming back in after long days in the parks. The hotel had so many amenities available to us that we may have to come back just to be able to do everything. We used the buses that came every half hour right to the hotel to go to the various parks. We took a break and used the pool area one day and it was ultra clean and they provided towels and fruit to enjoy. The hotel is directly across the street from Downtown Disney so we could just walk over and spend several hours there. We will definitely come back to this hotel when we return to Orlando.

I stayed here years ago and I really love the location and decor. The staff is also very friendly, however, our room smelled ... and felt as if it were wet, and the air wasn't clean. The bathroom had hair stuck on the wall, and therefore felt dirty. On the other hand, the beds were super comfortable. The breakfast was good, but I am not joking when I say that every table around us had coughing guests (children and parents) and really made us feel uncomfortable, especially since a few kids' were walking around the buffet coughing. I hope I don't sound insensitive, but I once enjoyed a buffet at this very hotel, I was looking forward to our breakfast. Needless to say, this was not a perfect start of the day.

The in room TV's have about ten channels on them, eight of which are ESPN! Heaven for most males I would assume, but I was ... there with my teenage daughter! I wanted to hook up a portable DVD player, which I did, but the TV/Video button was disabled. The management said you cannot hook anything up to our TV's and suggested I watch their pay for view movies. I do this in every other hotel I stay at without a problem! Resort fees are $14.95, you don't get much for that, parking and a bus ride to the Disney theme parks, a bit excessive if you ask me. Rooms are comfortable, bathrooms are on the small side. Just an average every day hotel, not worthy of it's name.

Everything was great about this hotel. Only complaint was the door slamming noise! We noticed it wasn't possible to even ... close the doors quietly for even if you tried it still sounded like a slam. But other then that, Location was awesome, parking was good, hidden spa pool was awesome (had it all to ourselves). Of course the resort fee is a bummer but for the price I got from [...] it was still well worth it =)

Great rooms, great service
Food & Wine couple Oct 13, 2009
[...] We were planning on going to the Epcot Food and Wine Festival and wanted a hotel close by that offered a shuttle ... service so we wouldn't have to drive. This was perfect. Not only was the price for the room great but the hotel itself was beautiful. It has been re-done in a very modern style. Our room was excellent - spacious floor plan, comfy king-sized bed, flat-screen tv, tile shower stall, bathrobes, cute (but small) balcony. My only complaint is that the doors are loud! We were in a corner room and around 9am on Sunday all we heard was bang, bang, bang from the doors slamming. Of course, most people were probably checking out or getting up to start their day. We were trying to sleep in from our 'around the world' drinking the night before! The free bus to the park was nice - air conditioned and convenient. It was about 10 minutes behind schedule (they run every 1/2 hour). But with Disney parking prices being what the are, I'm not complaining! Overall, we were VERY pleased with our stay here. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and we will definitely be back!

This place was absolutely perfect. My wife and I were staying here for our Disney trip and couldn't have been more pleased. ... First of all the location is perfect. You are a block away from the Downtown Disney area that is full of shopping and eating spots. We looked at there website and saw beautiful pictures of the rooms, thinking that our room would be nothing like that. We were very wrong. Our room was fantastic and had a gorgeous view over the lake next to the hotel. Buses arrive every 30 minutes (give or take a few) that took you right into any of the Disney parks. So we easily saved $12 a day in parking. The staff at the hotel were incredibly professional and polite. The campus has two pools plus a hot tub that stay open 24 hours and are a perfect relaxation spot from the sun. I would highly recommend this place to anyone traveling to the Disney area. It was budget friendly and it will be a place we continue to visit.

Clean, comfortable, and quiet. Just what's needed when recreating (at Disney, Seaworld, and Universal) until exhausted and ... then getting up the next morning to do it again. Walking distance (really) to Downtown Disney and shuttle buses to everywhere else. Stayed in the tower not the "Island Resort". Also, ask your bus drivers what time they are at your stop. They can't be at every hotel on the hour. It will save you some waiting time.
