Great Hotel for the Price!
Sarah Kate Oct 6, 2009
There was a daily shuttle to the airport to catch the Metro, which was great, but there were a few times it skipped a trip, ... and you would be forced to wait almost an hour for the next shuttle. That was probably about the only negative. I also did not like that there was no fridge in the room. There are no safes in the rooms either, but that is a VA state law. The pool was great, and so was the food and the staff.
Traveler type: Family
If you take the Metro, or ask the shuttle driver to drop you off at Pentagon City, there is great shopping there about 8 min away.

M&M Oct 5, 2009
The location was perfect since we came to help our son move from his apartment across the street from the hotel, but there is ... a lot of road noise since the hotel is right on I-395. The staff was nice enough to give us a new room when the table fell apart when my husband put his suitcase; however, in the second room the bathroom faucet would not shut off completely. The bed was not comfortable because the mattress felt like you were rolling to the middle or off the edges. However, for 2 nights it was ok and we did get a great deal [...]
Traveler type: Couples
The upside to being right on I-395 is easy access to downtown D.C. without the high hotel price.

Great rooms, rates, and food!

While on vacation to DC this hotel offered the best value for us. The rooms were very clean and comfortable (large flat ... screen TV, marble bathroom, large desk, and lounge chairs)! The downside was the location, being almost 7 miles from Reagan National, but the free hotel shuttle made getting to the metro and local resturants a breeze! All in all it was a great trip and would deffinetly stay at this hotel again!

Captain Obvious Sep 28, 2009
Booked the hotel because it was really cheap. Very nice staff. Comfortable bed. Only used it as a jumping of point for a ... visit to DC and airport pick-up. The courtesy shuttle leaves every 15 min or so and takes people to the airport (where you can catch the metro into DC). Last shuttle leaves DCA at 10:45, though, so make sure you factor that in. Otherwise it is a $23 cab fare. There is a strip mall right across the street with a grocery store and Italian place.
Traveler type: Couples
Utilize the courtesy shuttle when you are trying to get to DC between 8am and 10:30pm. It drops you at Reagan-National Airport where you can catch the metro into DC. Much cheaper than a taxi.

Justin Jul 27, 2009
During our stay my girlfriend and I traveled to Alexandria and DC. We had a great time in both places. The last day we were ... there I woke up with all kinds of spots all over my body. We immediately left (early) and drove to my grandfather's home who is a retired physician which was a three hour drive. When we arrived and he contacted my aunt who is an er pediatrician she diagnosed me with an exotic virus. Following this I scheduled a doctors appointment with my primary physician she took a biopsy and I expect to have the results back in 3-4 days from Monday. That is my experience.

The Hotel was very clean, staff was very courteous and helpful. When I had questions on finding things in the area they were ... very helpful and gave written directions. Everyone was pleasant, the pool looked refreshing even though I didn't get a chance to get in it, but I did use the fitness center, love the equipment very much updated.... We booked this hotel over July 4th weekend to see the sights in DC. The hotel provides a shuttle to the metro, which was a ... great way to get into the city center. Rooms were clean and a good size.. front desk staff was very friendly and attentive. All in all, a great place to stay when you want a cheaper (and quieter!) alternative to some of the hotels in DC itself. Would definitely stay there again!

Nice Hotel but......
Party of Four Jul 3, 2009
The hotel was fine. The rooms were very clean and the maid service was excellent. The shuttle service to the Metro station ... was awesome! My only complaint regards the bar and resturant which were closed on Friday and Saturday nights! I thought that this was strange. We were looking forward to eating in the Hotel and relaxing after a long day of sightseeing and then had to walk across the street for pizza. Also I wanted a cup of coffee and was informed that the coffee maker is put away after breakfast. Now how hard would it be to keep a fresh pot of coffee going for weary travelers?

From the moment I walk in my experince was great with the staff. I had a lot of questions about the area and they were very ... helpful. The appearance in the lobby was extermly clean. I went to my room and along the way was greeted by friendly housekeeping staff in the hallways. My room was so big and opened. I had a king size bed that felt like I was sleeping on a cloud. The bathroom was a good size area, very clean and the towels were very soft. I am a single women traveling and in this hotel I felt very comfortable and secure.

Nice hotel for the money!
Andy Jun 1, 2009
We were in the area to help my brother find an apartment for 2 months for an internship. Found this hotel on the internet ... for a better price than most other hotels in the area. Didn't try out the food (breakfast buffet was like $13) or the pool, so can't comment on those, but they looked nice! People were nice and friendly. Felt safe leaving car in parking deck because you had to use a key to enter. Only negative was that it was $10 to park. It seems like it would be difficult to get to the hotel without GPS, though, which I used.

A grocery store, pharmacy and even a sub shop right across the street so if you forgot anything, you dont have to worry about driving 10 minutes away from the hotel to get what you need.
