the hotel is ideally located right in the middle of the boardwalk. front desk is helpful. they gave us a full ocean view room ... even though we weren't high rollers (and we didn't even ask for it). only thing is you feel like you're in an old mobster movie. carpet and decor need to be renovated/modernized. but if you don't mind that, it's a great place to stay for a night.

This was a really great few days off with my husband. The room was great. Right on the main tower and an incredible ocean ... view. Bed was super comfortable and furnishings were nice. It was central to everything; really great location right on the boardwalk. Would definitely stay again. Great hotel and really great price! Only downside was the pool was closed for the week because they were painting- definitely not a big deal; we were able to swim at the Trump Taj Mahal instead!!

Don't eat at the restaurants in the hotels, unless you wanna spend twice as much as you normally would!! Great restaurants a few blocks away near the outlet malls. (Ruth Chris, Ruby Tuesday, The Melting Pot, McDonalds, and others). Also, definitely see the water show at the pier shops. Amazing!!

BillCap1 Oct 26, 2009
Overall Positve. We arrived and the customer service woman was short with us. Didn't want to hear what we had to say. We ... found the room without incident and it was ok. A little small and the bed sheet had a hole in it. For the price though, it beat expectations. A plus was the security guard at the entrance to the elevators. You cannot roam around the hotel unless you have a room in it. Huge plus as far as im concerned!

The rooms were a bit outdated with very dirty windows, but the price was right and the location is excellent. We wished the ... fitness center and internet were included in the price. . .but, after all, in Atlantic City you're probably not here to be fit or to work! Nice Vegas-style casino, and close proximity to the beautiful Caesars and Pier Shops.

Not a bad hotel at all, but was expecting a lot more with the TRUMP name. Our room was a bit dated and not as clean as I ... would have imagined. The water pressure was bad, but again, not a horrible experience at all. GREAT location and great dining and very friendly staff. The hotel just needs a better "makeover".

Never stay here!
CK Aug 17, 2009
I travel frequently and therefore, deal with lots of hotels and hotel staff. This was, by far, the worst experience I've ever ... had- and I once stayed in a hotel that had a water pipe burst on the 5th floor and flood the floors below it all the way down to the lobby. This was worse than that. And it all boiled down to terrible customer service and a rude staff. The staff at the Trump Plaza seems to be confused about proper customer service. It took us three hours to check in and it wasn't because there was a line. Why? Well, because apparently, there was some kind of mis-communication between Orbitz and the hotel because when we arrived, the hotel did not have a record of my reservation, despite the fact that I booked it a week and a half prior to our arrival. I pulled up the Orbitz e-mail confirmation on my iPhone and it still wasn't good enough. I had to call Orbitz and have them re-fax my reservation. Apparently, the re-faxed confirmation also wasn't good enough for the hotel reservation supervisor, who refused to confirm our reservation and told us the hotel was fully booked. This was obviously not the case as people were coming in off the street and either booking rooms or upgrading to better rooms while we stood there trying to get our room (that was already paid for). Finally, after two hours of battling with Orbitz and the front desk staff and both parties trying to move us to the Trump Marina, the front desk supervisor finally came out to help us. He had us fax our confirmation (again) directly to him to bypass the reservation supervisor (who was refusing to put on reservation into the system). He was able to get us a room in the "fully booked" hotel (now three hours after we began the check-in process). The hotel was not fully booked (obviously), but apparently, if there is mis-communication between Orbitz and Trump Plaza, it is the customer's fault and they are fully punished for it in the form of terrible customer service and wasted time. Overall, the staff in the hotel (beyond check-in) was very, very rude. I will never, ever stay at any Trump facility ever again (sorry, Donald). If you want a nice hotel in AC, stay at The Chelsea. Oddly enough, my boyfriend and I had a similar situation the previous week and it was resolved in less than 45 minutes with minimal aggravation and excellent customer service.

Overall, we had a great weekend!! we were there for a bachelor/bachelorette party and everything went off as planned. The ... service at the restaurants, bars and casino was impeccable. The beach treated us very well on Friday night and the beach did the same saturday during the day. I would recommend anyone staying in Atlantic City....please consider the Trupm Plaza as your destinatio.

Overpriced - It's Not Vegas
Anniversary Couple Jul 20, 2009
For the price we were paying, we would have gotten a much better room in Vegas. We were celebrating our anniversary and the ... only good thing I can say was that when we checked in, we were able to upgrade to a partial ocean view room. The pool was ordinary at best and to get the use of a hot tub, guests have to pay a $15 fitness room fee daily. I have seen better pools at Hampton Inns. The hallways were confusing and the rooms were old, with big chunky televisions, while the lobby seems very simple. It's like Trump, all talk and no proof. I had a better time walking through the lobby of Caesars Atlantic City next door and The Pier Shops at Caesars. I would not stay there again.

i was displeased upon arrival, about the distance from the parking garage to the lobby. Than i waited in a long line to get ... checked in, after getting to the desk some lady hopped in front of ME, and the clerk said nothing at all. Than they did not have my reservations. I did not even get to my room at this point and had already wished i went to another hotel. My room looked in smelled awful. I was not in my room very long however i didn't want to be either. Bathroom was dirty, staff not friendly.
