Not bad!

We went there because we were participating in a Disney marathon. The distance to Animal Kingdom was great. THe hotel room ... was actually very clean except for the bathroom. The cracks in the tub could use a bit of bleach and a scrub brush to get rid of some mold as well as the showerhead. The room was cold. The rug was clean and vaccumed. There was no foul odor anywhere. The tv had good picture and many channels. Overall the room was very comfortable. It had a small table with 2 chairs. There was complimentary coffee in the lobby. There wasn't any luxury to this room but if anyone was planning on visiting the Disney area and needed a decent place to sleep and shower, this hotel is definitely a thumbs up!

Hotel was in a good location. Very quiet hotel. Pool was very dirty and the hot tub was not working the entire time of stay ... (4 days). They supposedly have "free continental breakfast".. they just had honey buns and coffee. This hotel wasn't great but it's good for a couple nights to sleep when on a budget.

I would not use this "hotel" ever again. Upon arrival, being 1 hour early, the greeting from the desk clerk was not a ... welcoming one. It was a glance over his shoulder to the wall clock saying " Oh, so we are early." The pool was nasty and the jacuzzi had last nights scum and cigarette butts floating in it. When we got back to the room and I changed out of my bathing suit there was more stuff in it than when I swim in the Atlantic- stuff that looked to be shredded cardboard. I am suffering with a bladder infection from the pool/spa and all of our eyes have been puffy since. The grounds are not cared for. The windows look as though they haven't been washed in awhile. There was a huge blood splotch on the cement landing. On day 2 when we returned to our room we found the beds were made but there were no towels. So after 12 hours at Sea World in the heat and being completely exhausted I had to march down 3 flights of stairs to get the towels that should've been there in the first place. There also appeared to be a "lady of the evening" standing out front near the office around 10:30 pm. We saw her pull up her dress and expose her naked nether regions to someone in a parked car.

I took my husband to Orlando to celebrate his birthday. The hotel did not meet our expectations. I have stayed at Red Roof ... Inn before and this was nothing compare to my previous experiences. The first room had dirty ceiling, dirty wall and it smell like mold. We asked to switch rooms and we did but it was not what we expected

It was an okay stay for the price. We got it for $33 , but the room smelled funny, they didn't give you enough towels, and ... the pool had debris in it. It was very quiet, and the room was clean ,but it needs some major updating!

Gaytor Ken Aug 2, 2009
We came in late, around 1 a.m., and were checked in very quickly. The room smelled musty, but cleared up after we turned the ... a/c on. The bathroom faucet ran very slow and eventually stopped working at all in the morning. The management seemed to be jumping right on it, though, as we checked out. The bed was very comfortable and that was the main thing. We were just looking for a place to crash before heading to Disney and this property was acceptable.

Had no problem checking in early. Third floor room was quiet and even had an elevator. (Not often found in outdoor ... corridors.) Variety of coffee, latte, and tea for breakfast with your variety of pastries. Juice, too. Sparkling clean pool with a hot tub. Within a few steps to Arby's and Taco Bell. You know...traveling on a budget.

Not a 2.5 star for sure!-but not all bad
Chrissy - frequent Parks visitor Jul 26, 2009
Our stay had good and bad parts. First, the bad: -pool was closed by the health dept for our entire stay. We were extremely ... dissappointed by this, as that is one reason why we picked this hotel; for the late pool hours. -carpet in room was so old that it was all bubbled up/wrinkled throughout room with well worn areas. It also smelled bad; a cross between mold and bug spray. Maybe just fumigated? -small rooms. Had a very old tv, but nothing else. -only 3 pillows and 2 large towels standard. -DEFINATELY not what I would consider a 2.5 star after staying at other places in the Kissimee area with that star rating and higher. More like a 1.5 at the very most. Because of no pool, it was a 1 star during our stay. Now for the good: -Staff very friendly and courteous. -Plenty of parking; even for handicap parking which we needed. -NO BUGS at all. That is very surprising for Florida in the summer on a ground floor no matter where you stay. We never saw a single little ant or anything. (That may explain the bad smell??) -Bed was comfortable and room was clean. -Quiet off the main drag location. -Quiet air conditioner! another pleasant surprise as most wall units are noisy when they kick on and off. -Plenty of nearby eateries and tourist shops. Right in the middle of the Kissimee main drag (192). Overall: Whether or not the pool was available, this is a good place to stay for a very simple night's sleep in a clean, quiet place, but NOT higher than a 2 star for sure. Would not suggest for a family unless an additional room was bought for the kids. Very small rooms and bathrooms. Breakfast was simply an 8-foot bar of coffee and juice with a small basket of prepackaged muffins/donuts. -Gone before we got to the desk at 9am.
