OK Experience. Had to ask for toilet paper at front desk. It never arrived so we got a roll from a maid. Next day went and ... bought some at the Walmart. Reserved a smoking room a month in advance, but upon arrival was told none were available (found out at front desk that there are only 3 smoking rooms in the entire hotel). Overall not bad for the $.

Great stay.
Joe Momma Oct 8, 2009
Very clean. Nicely furnished. Liked the suite room set-up with a couch and a bed. Great bang for your buck. Hope you like ... the color gray. But have to request a coffee maker or just about anything else other than towels. No maps of immediate area provided. Internet is a bit pricey. Located close to strip malls and Walmart so you can stock up on snacks, get forgotton items, or go out for cheaper food easily. Hotel itself is a bit hidden in the maze of streets and landscaping. Drove to nearby Metro station and took Metro into DC for the day.

Great hotel, excellent value!
Peg Sep 30, 2009
The hotel staff was very courteous and friendly. The room was spacious and very clean. The location was terrific - stores ... and restaurants were literally right down the street. We drove into Washington D.C. on a couple of days we were there. It was a 15 mile trip. Traffic was slow in a few areas but overall pretty good. Would recommend to stay here especially if you are going into Washington D.C. because it is not too far away and yet away from the big city. Fairfax, VA is a real nice area!

We entered when there was a reggae band playing in the main (open) reception area. It was extremely loud. Evidently this ... occurs every Thursday evening. We had to shout (as did the representatives) to accomplish our check in. We did take advantage of the complimentary shuttle to the metro service to visit D.C.

I was dead tired from driving all night to deliver my son to GMU. No hassles at the the desk, straight to my room, into a ... hot bath, right to bed, slept twelve hours, shaved, gathered my belongings, handed the desk person my keys, got a free cup of coffee to go and drove home.

You must have a car to get to places easily in D.C. Noisy children kept running up and down the hall for 2 days. Food was ... excellent, but at a price. Little tricky to get to the hotel. Suggest better directions to be given from the reservation. Did not get rooms on same floor even though asked for it a week before. Don't think the staff looked at our request at all.

Difficult to get into D.C. from here unless you have your own car - Metro stops are at Falls Church and other locations, but none are nearby. There is a Hotel Shuttle (undetermined where it goes/serves), but did not use. Bring your GPS if you have one - makes driving MUCH easier in this region!
--Chicago Diva, Chicago IL Jul 20, 2009
Get the directions to the train station at the front desk and park in the metro parking lot and take the train into Washington. The parking lot is free on weekends and the daily rate during the week is very reasonable. If you don't want to pay for parking the hotel has a complimentary shuttle to take you and they have a schedule they will provide.
--hazeleys510, Highland Falls,NY Jul 20, 2009
Fairfax Corner, outdoor shopping/mall area is a great place to walk around, eat at, enjoy a morning cup of coffee at and just shop around. Very pretty. Also not so far from Burke Lake Park if you are the outdoorsy type. Burke Lake is a great spot to walk around or if you have kids, take them to the train, carosel, ice-cream parlor etc.
--Christi, Erie, Pa Jul 12, 2009
Take advantage of the great shopping!
--Lindsay, Philadelphia, PA Jul 3, 2009
Walmart, Target, Old Navy, just about every store is either next door or right down the street, which was great for me, because I'd forgotten a few essentials. From the hotel and its parking lot, you can not tell that you are that close to so many stores. The hotel property is surrounded by trees and it is very quiet.
--brandee1027, Auburn, AL Jun 28, 2009
Prices for room service and other dining options in the hotel are expensive, but many nice restaurants are within walking distance. The Cheesecake Factory is very close by. Labeling bottled water $5 in the room was tacky.
--LapisLee, Lynchburg, VA Jun 15, 2009
