I wasn't expecting a whole lot for the price but there is a lot of room for improvement. You have a 50/50 chance of the ... elevators working. Out of the 7 ice machines only 1 works. The pool is not heated as had been advertised but the whirlpool is really hot. On the positive side, the staff were helpful and the rooms were clean.

We Arrived at 2am. Checking in was not a problem. the rooms were clean and comfortable. There was no internet access in ... our room. The Television got a very limited number of channels. HBO was available but the sound was not. There website lists breakfast included but you must pre-pay some package deal. Then if you did pre-pay you have to walk over to the Radisson Hotel to have breakfast. There is no coffee in the room or the hotel check in room. Notice I said check in room cause the "Lobby" is not much biger than a room with a counter. Pool The out door pool was closed of course being that it was November. the YMCA is right behind it but you have to get passes at the Radisson Hotel. A Jacuzzi is advertised but again it is outdoors and there for was closed. I have to say that if you are looking only to sleep there. It was fine. My biggest complaint is that the hotel is just too plain and basic

Unbeatable location for the price
Atlanta Chick Nov 16, 2009
Was not a bad hotel for the price. Was not nasty but could have been a little cleaner in the tub area. The beds were a memory ... foam and slept so well. They had us by the Tennis courts and people kept hitting the window and door with the balls which was annoying. I would recommend it for people that want a desent place on a budget.

The hotel was fine for the price. I have stayed in this hotel numerous times over the years and it has been a Radison, then ... the Metropolitian resort and now the existing property has been split with the newer tower building returning to Radison and the older 5 story building being the Metropolitian resort resulting in some pictures that are not accurate posted on the website.[...]The noise complaint was noise from the plumbing when other guests ran water

Not My First Choice...
Lash Nov 10, 2009
First of all, I do not expect a 5-star hotel when I book one with a 2 or 3-star rating. We wanted a clean room with a good ... location and a decent nights sleep for a cheap price... and we DID get all that. It appears to be an old hotel undergoing an update and some things are nice, like the granite countertops. But most of the rest falls short; ie. furniture falling apart, missing molding, no hair dryer & none delivered after calling the front desk. In general, the entire property feels run-down.

Best stay for the value!
Supercat Nov 2, 2009
We have stayed at several lower costing hotels in hopes of trying to find the best value when travelling to the theme parks. ... This one is it! Not only was the price low, but the rooms were big and comfortable. They were clean, with no sticky carpets or comforters. And it was right on International Drive! Definately will be staying here again and again. The hotel seems to have been an older hotel that was recently remodeled, so there are a few quirks. The elevators shudder and are a little scary - but the rooms are great and that's what matters to me. This place has lots of ammenities also - tennis courts, pool, horseshoe pit, and lots of other things.

Ms. Griffin Nov 2, 2009
Well since I was visiting for only two days it was great! For the price you couldn't go wrong! The rooms were clean and the ... pool was great it just needed a little cleaning but other than that it was cool for the price I paid! The only thing is instead of a resort it should be called a hotel because I don't see resort quality.

Very bad & the worse hotel experience.
Delicious Candi Oct 28, 2009
I had the worse experience ever. The room I had seen online for "Orlando Metropolitan Resort" was totally opposite from what ... I seen. I walked in the hotel and it smelled real bad and the floor carpet was very dirty plus bathroom was dirty. In the shower it had a bath mat stuck on the floor un the shower as if it had been sitting there for a while and not being clean. I felt so dirty and nasty 2 the point that I couldn't sleep. I am pregnant and felt so disguisted. My husband and I was on a vacation for the halloween horror night and got 2 hotel after 2am. I honestly want 2 cancel my stay and get another hotel room but my husband said that it was too late 2 found another hotel. I was so disappointed and really 2 check out when I woke up.

LNM Oct 20, 2009
Hotel was nice. I think it's been renovated to also be a Radison (which is next door), but the front staff was a bit ... unorganized. We asked about shuttle times and the night front desk woman had no clue about the schedule. The next morning, I went back and had to wait while they found copies of the schedule. By the way, shuttle to parks only run a few select times, so make sure you find the times out right away. Room was actually very nice and big. Great location also.

Hotel or time share? Absolutely awful
imagrtguy Oct 19, 2009
After a pleasant and prompt check-in, I was told to go across the lobby to obtain a parking pass and map of the hotel. ... Before the guy would give me a parking pass, I was given a hard sell trying to get me to sign up for 4 days/3 nights for $129 valid anytime up to a year from now. I told the guy "no", I am not interested. He got belligerent and would not take no for an answer. I felt like I was dealing with the mafia. Finally after me telling him several times that there was no way I was going to take the deal, he threw the parking pass at me. When I asked where my room was, he told me "somewhere in the building". As a very frequent traveler, I can say this was the most horrendous service I have ever received in a hotel. Once I found the room, I understood why they try so hard to book people for 3 nights. The place was a nightmare. 1/2 the lights in the room didn't work. The drawers in the cabinet were stuck in the open position. The door covering the fridge (that was warmer than the room) also would not close due to the lock being broken. There were bugs in the bathroom, joining the rust and mildew and peeling wallpaper. The clock was broken. And notice that they charge $5 for a resort fee. The only time I would use the word resort in a sentence with this place would be only stay here as a LAST RESORT!

The room are not really clean, include the elevetor, the ice machine in the floor that I got my room was broke. If you ... planning to stay at this hotel be ready to expect the worst noise of a laundry machine. I went to bed around 3:00 am the night before, so I was expecting to have a nice and quiet sleep in the morning, witch never happpen. The horror noise of a laundry machine begin a 8:00 am and never stop to you leave the room. I call the from desk and they just told me "oh Im sorry but people start making their laundry at 8:00 am. what that H!! its that! I will never recommend this hotel to nobody. B,C,T,T DOUBLE DATE VACACTION Oct 12, 2009
OK, ME, MY FIANCEE', HIS FRIEND, AND HIS WIFE HAD ARRIVED AT THE HOTEL FRIDAY EVENING AND LEFT SUNDAY AFTERNOON. WE FOUND ... THAT THE OFFICE WAS IN THE BACK SINCE WE GOT THE DISCOUNT. SO OUR 1ST THOUGHT WAS O LORDY (I HAD READ ALL THE BAD REVIEWS BEFORE WE HAD GOTTEN THERE AND WAS SKEPTICAL OF EVEN GOING THERE, WE AUTOMATICALLY THOUGHT IT MAY HAD BEEN GHETTO)(LOL). BUT INSTEAD WE HAD AN EASY CHECK-IN, THE ELEVATOR WORKED THE WHOLE TIME,POOL WAS OPEN AND CLEAN, OUR ROOM LOOKED EXACTLY LIKE THE PICTURE AND EVEN INCLUDED A REFRIDGERATOR. (I DIDNT EVEN EXPECT THAT). THE ROOM VERY VERY WAS CLEAN, SMELLED GREAT AND EVERTHING IN THE BATHROOM WORKED. IT WAS QUIET BOTH NIGHTS, AND OUR ROOMS WERE ON THE SAME FLOOR, AND JUST 2 DOORS DOWN FROM EACH OTHER, SO IT WASNT TOO CLOSE/FAR. HOUSE-KEEPING CLEANED THE WHOLE ROOM AND CAME IN THE LATE AFTERNOON RATHER THAN INTERRUPTING OUR SLEEP, OR HAVING US WANT TO RUSH AND LEAVE TO NOT BE IN THERE WAY OR HAVE THEM HAVING TO WORK AROUND US.I CANT WAIT FOR OUR NEXT VACATION. WE WILL MOST DEFINATELY GO THERE AGAIN AND I RECOMMEND IT TO EVERYONE. OUR LAST RESORT WE WENT TO WAS $80 A NIGHT AND WE HAD TO CHANGE OUR ROOMS TWICE!!! BECAUSE OF THE CONSTANT PROBLEMS, THIS RESORT WAS $35 A NIGHT AND I DONT HAVE ANY COMPLAINTS AT ALL. IT WAS AWSOME AND I'M VERY PLEASED!!!
