The hotel is in great need of repair...musty room, torn draperies, towels with large holes in them, rusty tub, etc..the staff ... did not speak any English nor were they willing to find new towels , etc....it was a disappointing experience. Perhaps they will consider remodeling since the view was the only positive attribute...definitely not worth the money...we would have preferred to spend double had we known Christmas Eve would be ruined.

WORST HOTEL
Disgruntled traveller! Dec 14, 2009
The staff couldn't find our reservation, took 45 minutes to check-in, room keys did not work. Entire hotel and room smelled ... old, smokey and moldy. The ceiling in our bathroom collapsed on the first night and no maintenance or manager ever came up to fix it or check on the leak (...or us..). No manager was to be found on site at all the entire weekend. Beds and mattresses were extremely uncomfortable. My husband and I both travel extensively for business and both agreed that this was the worst hotel we had ever stayed at. The hotel ran out of breakfast coupons which made for some uncomfortable breakfast billing. Rude and unfriendly staff. The only good thing about our stay was the Watercolors Restaurant which had excellent entree's as well as very good breakfast.

Poor Management
LP Sep 7, 2009
The hotel didn't have the Orbitz reservation, even though I called the hotel with an Orbitz representative some time ago to ... confirm that the $10 hotel fee was included in the price of the stay. They did not give a superior room with an ocean view as the reservation stated. It took two changes of room to get it right. Upon checkout, the clerk insisted on charging me the $10 "resort fee" even though I told him it was included in the reservation. When I saw the fax sent by Orbitz to confirm the reservation laying on the counter, I picked it up to show him only to have him reach over the counter and struggle with me to remove it from my hands. I travel for business every week and this happened to be a personal trip. If I were on business, I would definitely further my complaint on the checkout staff with the hotel general manager if not the ownership of the hotel.

Ugh, the first room was disgusting!!! Mold was everywhere, bad smell... I called Orbitz twuce and they called the hotel and ... we were moved to another room, which I will say was a reasonable improvement. But still the balcomy was dirty, mold everywhere there too! The biggest perk was that we has a free breakfast which wasn't half bad. Funny thing is, Orbitz really didn't offer to compensate me at all... Lovely... I don't think I will book this hotel ever again and it is questionable whether or not I will book anything with Orbitz...

Boca Bridge - Could be nicer...
Jayne Jul 20, 2009
Three girlfriends went on a "girls" trip. We had a blast, but the hotel was marginal. We requested towels for three guests ... each day, and never once got three sets of towels. The hotel is very dated, and needs to be updated. The location is very nice, and views are pretty. Pool and restaurants are good, and the staff (other than housekeeping) was very professional and helpful.

City Place (in Palm Beach) is a lovely place to shop and dine. Many other terrific shopping opportunities. Also - for ocean fun - Hillsboro and Ft. Lauderdale beaches have the best options available. Delray is nice, but not as many shops or restaurants easily accessible, and parking is tough.

What a dump!
Mr. Florida Traveler May 8, 2009
What a complete dump of a hotel. My room was cleaned once while I was there and they never even replenished the soap or ... towels! And if you don't mind the guest next door beating the daylights out of his girlfriend while she screams for help...then this is the place for you. They couldn't pay me to stay here again. Too bad because the location is not bad.

Nice views, reasonably priced
Wedding Guest May 8, 2009
We had booked a room w/ King bed, but they put us in a room with two doubles. A call to the front desk fixed the situation ... immediately, and we were transferred to a new room. Good quick response by staff, but only one elevator was working all weekend, and it took a long time to get up & down. Also, the hotel adds a $10.00 per day "convenience" fee - why isn't that included in the guaranteed rate?

I have travelled to many countries and all 50 States, and this is my favorite hotel. I had eaten many meals at the Boca ... Bridge, prior to this, however, this was my first stay, and I will definitely return when in this area. The service is outstanding---employees are the best---whether serving you drinks/snacks at poolside or parking your rental auto. It is perfect for relaxing and just plain enjoying yourself.

carla Apr 24, 2009
the hotel was okay, location good. what i did not like about was that the room smelled bad , i had to buy plugins fragances ... to be able to enjoy the stay. After complaining 3,4 times, on the last day they finally took care of it by cleaning the carpet and that helped a lot.The bathroom needs to be remodeled.the sheets should be changed more often, in one week stay they only changed them ones, after complaning a few times. The housekeeping staff should really make the beds not just pull the covers over, they vacumed my room only one time, again after complaning. It's a little price for whath you get. If they can fix some of these problems the hotel could be better and maybe a possibility that i could choose this hotel again.

Stay somewhere else
Blessed_6 Mar 22, 2009
I booked this room for myself and my husband for our anniversary at $169.00 a night with the expectations of a four star ... hotel, and ended up with a two star at best. The rooms are very old and out of date. The bathroom is tiny and there was a disgusting amount of lime build up on the showerhead. There was a blood stain on the "vanaty" stool, and the mirror and sink area were not cleaned properly. The sliding glass door to the balcany had hand prints all over it. The tuner dial on the alarmclock was broken. We could also hear the A/C units in the neighboring rooms running all night. It was not a pleasent experience. You would have better luck with at a Motel 6. At least then you know what your getting. However, the staff is pleasent and the view from the room was nice. But if you have a choice between here and somewhere else, stay somewhere else.

First-Class Prices aren't worth it!
Jujudot Mar 9, 2009
We tried to check-in into our room a little early, it wasn't ready. No big deal. We went back after 3PM (normal check-in ... time), and it STILL was not ready. When we finally got to our room, it seemed nice. A short time later we discovered the noisy air conditioner unit that didn't cool the room; the bathroom that you had to straddle the commode in order to shut the door; a balcony that you can see into the rooms on either side of you. In order to get to the small pool you have to walk through the resturant/bar area, that was not very pleasant. There is no hot tub. There is a sauna, but it's located in the "exercise room" that is on the parking ramp. There also was the $10/day "service fee" that is to include bottled water, valet parking, etc. It is a very unnecessary added cost, and not worth the $10! The only thing I can say was a positive was that our room was VERY clean, and housekeeping did a wonderful job!! I would recommend staying at one of the many lovely FIRST-CLASS hotels in the area. This is NOT one of them!

Maybe we had bad luck...
Diane Oct 19, 2008
The hotel is tastefully decorated and overall clean. However, there was an infestation of tiny ants in my room. I have very ... low tolerance of insects and I understand that this is Florida and there are bugs but I have to wonder if this is normal or bad luck. Maintance did spray the room when I complained and that seemed to make them at least temporarily disappear. The second night we atayed there was also a loud thumping coming from some overhead broken equipment. It was repaired the next morning but did affect my sleep that night. I am not one to complain but I would be lying if these two negatives did not affect my overall impression of my stay. On the positive the view from the room was fantasic! Room service breakfast was great (fresh squeezed Florida orange juice) and delivered fast. The desk staff was friendly and helpful. Comfy and clean beds.
