Newly renovated 2007, the I Drive Metropolitan Express is a Designated Disney Good Neighbor Hotel located on world renowned International Drive which offers 218 spacious guest rooms together with a convenient location at the entrance to Universal Orlando.
The Hotel provides a high quality alternative for a wide range of travelers because it offers added amenities not found in many other hotels. The Hotel is within walking distance to an abundant number of shops, restaurants and nighttime entertainment. very close to wetnwild, if you stay here you dont have to pay for parking lol which is 10$ Invest that 10$ and get a better hotel somewhere else on I-Drive !!!!

We did valet, and for 8bucks more then the garage, we saved a lot of time walking to the garage and finding the car and it is closer to the entrance. the money you spend going to Orlando, Splurge 10 bucks more on the parking, it is so worth it!

Saw something crawling around the room the first night and the room had a mildew smell. Shuttles to the parks were ... inconveniently timed and stopped at a lot of hotels. Barely passable as a place to sleep at night.

The hotel was comfortable. Location fantastic for our visits to Universal Studios/Island of Adventure. Convenient to many ... restaurants and activites on I-Drive. Our window faced very closely to the building next door and the service/trash area. Our safe was inoperable so we were offered another room should one become available. Staff never contacted us to say that a room was available. Complimentary breakfast was billed as expanded continental to include fruit. It actually consisted of bread/toast, bagels, cereal, and muffins. The toast was good. All in all, we would stay there again for the price and location.

Pros: On I-Drive very close to many things, walked to Wet N Wild, also very cheap at 42$ a night. Room service came in and ... did their job etc Cons: Very ghetto inside, very ugly - hotel says its refurbished but its a piece of junk that should be demolished and redone again. I stayed there 2 nights and my toilet backed up atleast 3 times and the sink handle broke off lol it was already broken. The stairways had ripped carpet it was like cut up, looks unfinished to me but seems to be like that always.... went to bed in shorts and my legs started itching so i had to put on long pjs :( Breakfast was free but sucked but hey it was free so I didnt complain but there was a disgruntled worker complaining about people not picking up after themselves and that she was not a maid lol. It was VERY VERY busy and they had one worker for the breakfast thing. She was loud and made a big scene and even got in to an altercation with a lady about her kids. Apparently the kids ate and did not throw away their plate and she got all upset to where EVERYONE could hear about it lol. . . Well all I can say is , if you cant afford better go here otherwise spend a lil bit more to go somewhere else. I will not be returning here. Ill for 10 more dollars to take a chance of getting something better!

Great deal for a room across from wet n wild and minutes to universal. Free cold breakfast (muffins, cereal, bagels, etc.) ... from 6;30-9:30. Perfect location for a family, adjacent to all the fun stuff.

We stayed for three nights and it was ok you could just tell that it was an old hotel with some new paint. Bathrooms were ok ... nothing great with the shower head. Carpets in the hall were dirty they should have some one clean them. Also the breakfast is not good just plan to eat breakfast out. Also the resturants around yuck go to downtown disney and eat just $10.00 dollars more a Plus there is a Tasty treat across the street.

It took me more than an hour for the check in (they didnt have my reservation). They gave me an smoking room when I reserved ... for a non-smoking room. But the hotel was great! Excellent location and you have buses to go to Disney and Universal Studios! The breackfast was excellent!

When we checked in we were with some friends and had 2 different rooms. Neither one had any airconditioning and our room the ... lights didn't work. When we brought this to the attention of the staff. They said that there was nothing they could do about it except to have the janitor look at it. I told them that we wanted our money back and was told that there was no way possible because we booked through a travel agent (ie Cheaptickets) The customer service was horrible. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND GOING HERE!!!!

This hotel was so filthy and smelly. I travel all the time (7 or 8 times a year)and have NEVER seen a hotel this dirty. The ... hallway rugs and walls were nothing but dirt and stains, the carpet on the stairs was all frayed on the edges (hazzard). The room and halls smelled the lamps didn't work. The bathroom was dirty. When we used the shower the carpet outside the bathroom got all wet. I didn't have money for another room or I would have left. The staff kept answering other patrons questions instead of finishing with me. I paid for a pool view room and got a regular room. The hotel wouldn't help me . I had to call Orbitz. I got someone who was hard to understand and had to keep repeating everything. He put me on hold 3 times (on my cell) finally he told me to go back to the front desk. They moved me to a room on the side of the hotel where you could only see a sliver of the pool. The person at the attractions desk was on a break the first time I went there. The next day I was told it was a holiday (good Friday) and they didn't know what time she would be in. This hotel says it's a Disney god neighbor hotel. I plan to complain o them also. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to my worst enemy.

We got in late, but the place had people haning out in the lobby and the staff awake and very nice. Our room was located very ... close to the stairs and the lobby so that was very convienant. We didnt want breakfast the next morning, but the place was packed with people. Would deffinately stay again.

Planning on staying for a night or two while visiting the theme parks of Orlando? MAKE THIS YOUR LAST RESORT!!! The hotel ... staff at check-in were very friendly but got very rude when I called to complain that: 1. The air conditioner was not working properly (The room was very hot) 2. The air conditioner looked like it was ready to fall to the outside. 3. The beds looked as though someone has spilled coffee all over them. 4. The floor was completely filthy. 5. The room safe did not work at all. 6. The toilet and bath tub had rust marks and filth around them. 7. There was only 10 sheets of toilet paper left on the roll. 8. No ashtrays in a smoking room. 9. There was no cable in the rooms. 10. Wait for maintence was to be 15 minutes, was really 45 minutes. This was the first hour of being there, after maintence showed up he assured me that the room would be cool when we came back from our visit to a local theme park. Upon arriving back at the hotel the room was still hot and nothing had been done about anything else, so I went directly to the front desk to check out. This hotel in my opinion gets a -10. Very, very dissapointed.

I Drive Metropolitan Express is in a great location in Orlando, you can walk down I drive to find any type food or recreation ... for your family without having to drive,it is located in the perfect spot. The room was very small and the furniture was outdated,and there were roaches in the room.I will not stay there again nor recomend it to anyone else.

The hotel was nothing up to standard. It was dirty, smelly, stained and soiled carpets, and just an utter upset. The only ... reason we stayed the first night is because it was already 1am when we arrived. I would not recommend it to anyone hoping to stay in a clean hotel. The staff was very nice though.

The Int. Drive Metropolitan Express was very comfortable, the room seemed much larger than most with a desk area and a table ... and two chairs. The location was very good -- there were restaurants very close. It was easy to reach every thing we needed.
