Good location, safe, and large, clean rooms. I came to Victorville for work, so I didn't spend much time in the hotel, but ... the free breakfast was good. It was a full, hot meal... not some sad donuts laid out on a plate.

My fiance and i had a good time staying the two nights that we were there. Good location and friendly people. The room was ... very nice and pretty big. Loved the space we had. Overall, i enjoyed staying there and would recommend it to my family and friends.

The hotel only offered breakfast, but there are many restaurants with reasonable prices in both directions from the hotel. There's a wonderful, small Mexican restaurant almost to the end of 7th. The area looks unkept, but it's the best Chilis Rellanos I've ever had!

I was a little wary about this hotel when the price quote came back so cheap. Upon arrival those concerns went away quickly. ... The room was recently updated and was very clean. The mattresses were really new name brand ones that were VERY comfy. My sister is in the Mattress biz and said they were super nice, especially for a hotel. The free breakfast consisted of eggs, home fries (very tasty!), sausages, salsa and the normal dried cereals. There was one cook running the breakfast and some of the hot food ran out from time to time but was quickly replenished. The "toast" was a little weird because everyone shared the same wrapped loaf of bread and just got pieces out of it. I did not get to do much swimming but the pool was large and very clean. We stayed on the 4th floor which was obviously remodeled recently. I did wander to some other floors (2,3) and they were not remodeled at all. My advice? - request the 4th floor! The highlight of the stay was the amazing, friendly staff!! They were polite and very quick to help out when needed. I have done an extensive amount of traveling and staying in hotels. The Ambassador might not have the frills of a big chain or a expensive five star hotel, but you cannot go wrong for the price. I highly recommend staying here for short or long term needs. If I am back in the area anytime, I will be staying there again!

Switched to a standard room at checkin in an older unremodeled part of the Hotel. I do not think I got the value or service I ... payed for from Orbitz. When I checked in to the hotel I am dealing with the hotel staff instead of Orbitz. There wasn't a clear way of addressing issues. I don't think I will be doing bussiness with you again.

This hotel is average to very good. The rooms were clean except for a couple items left by previous guests that were ... inappropriate for children to see. The location is perfect. I recommend this hotel. With refer, microwave, hair dryer and iron/ironing board, you have everything to make your stay comfortable and affordable. Take your kids to Scandia's!

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Was hoping to dine at hotel; but no restaurant on premises. Room was clean and quiet; ... although bed was quite firm and not that comfortable. I would stay again..it's a bargain for those who just need an overnight stay.

Received very friendly welcome at check in, even maid in hall said hello to us. Enjoyed the well-prepared breakfast buffet-- ... but go early to get a seat. Families fill up the 12-15 table area quickly. The building is older, kinda funky layout downstairs, but is always being updated, painted, etc. This was our 2nd stay. Poolview rooms bright in afternoon, parking/street view rooms bright in morning-- ask for the type you like.

When I booked the hotel I was told I would be getting a room with 2 king sized beds. When I got there I had a room with 2 ... fullsize beds. I wasnt informed that they were remodeling and the pictures that were on the website wasnt what my hotel looked like.

the ambassador hotel executive rooms are very large. it was a great place for an overnight trip on our way to san diego to ... go on a mexican cruise. i highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is old, but very well maintained. My room was upgraded to a Exec room which was very roomy with newer furnishings - ... carpet was newer - the bath room did show its age, but was clean. I would stay again and recommend to friends. The staff was friendly, the breakfast was very good with cereal, scrambled eggs, toast, fried potatoes, sausages, tea, milk, coffee.

I attended the Lucerne 250 Off Road Race in Lacerne Valley and was about 45 minutes from the Hotel which was right off of I 15.
