Our stay was very comfortable, enjoyed every moment of it, the kids love the pool, the house was clean and well maintained. ... The only challenging time was with checking in since we arrived late in Orlando. We were not given the access code to the gate and called the 800 number where you could only use for emergency but can be charged for a fee.Other than that, it was great! Plus you can cook! The location was not too far from Disneyworld and since we can prepare our food, it made our vacation less expensive.

About half an hour away on International Drive, the Prime Outlets and Premium Outlets had the best deals. The malls are fairly pricey...not sure if it is worth the time when the outlets are much more reasonably priced. The best thing is to have a GPS system to take the stress out of directions to the parks, restaurants etc. Do your reseach first though as you will need the exact addresses of these places to punch into the GPS. The only frustrating thing was that some of the street names had two names...the GPS didn't recognize some of the names...so just make sure you have a detailed street map just in case. Or punch in a fake address close to the location you want to end up.

The house we stayed at was great! We especially loved the hot tub and pool. The place was very spacious, loved the open ... concept and the rooms were nice. We felt like we were at home. We were very comfortable. We thought it would be great to park our Cadillac in the garage but when we went in there, there was a games room set up! Added bonus! Only thing to complain about was that it was so cold in the house with the AC running. We had to ask for it to be turned down...we are Canadians! They response was fast. They came and turned it down for us on the same day that we called. We like it to be just in the middle - not too cold, not too hot. Overall we loved the house, the pool, hot tub and the games room. We would definitely recommend booking with Legacy Homes. This was our third time booking with them and they are always reasonably priced and the homes are always clean and the kitchen well equipped. Key to booking, book early. We booked in May for our trip in September.

ER Sep 27, 2009
We enjoyed our vacation home. We had a rental house with private pool, it was small, but all our own. We had a small ... problem with check in and never received the confirmation email 48 hours ahead of time. The company was irritated and insisted they sent it, but it must have gone to the wrong email address. They eventually gave us the address over the phone and we had no problems finding it from there. Just beware, there were no extras in the home. We had only the toilet paper already on the rolls and no other paper products. Plenty of dishes, towels and bedding. We would book again.

Cathy from Georgia Sep 8, 2009
When we arrived at the house, the grass was very high and the sidewalk leading up the the front door was in need of a good ... sweeping. Once we got inside the house, we were very pleased. The house was spotless on the inside. We had a few things not working and we called the next morning and left a message, when we came home from visiting Universal (which was close to where we stayed) all our issues had been taken care of. I think more needs to be written about the cleaning bill, that was a surprise I found out after making the reservations. Also a detailed list of what is in the house and what we need to bring would be appreciated.

This was the first time we have rented a house. We will definately do it again. Everything was clean and comfortable. The ... pool was the best part. If you want to cook take your own pans. Pans are provided but they are very old (I imagine good ones get taken). Also take your own toilet paper, paper towels, things like that. Plenty of bed linin and towels were provided. This was a great experience. So much more comfortable, larger, and private than a hotel room or suite. Plus a privite, enclosed pool. We are recommending this to our friends.

Disney Home FAR AWAY from Disney
Bob Aug 27, 2009
Was told property was CLOSE to Disney World, NOT EVEN CLOSE was way past Apkola FL. WAs off EXIT 58 and then another 4 ... miles from the exit. The company I booked theu was Legacy Homes, the rental was pushed to another company Columbus Homes { unk if one in the same or not} Would not even disclose the location or even the area of the home knowing that the customer would cancel reservation when they found out the true distance. The only good thing to say was the home was: very nice, well kept, VERY clean and comfortable. The home was hugh 5 bedrooms. The neighborhood was very quiet. The only down fall with the pool deck was an ant problem, ants everywhere. Owner/ property manager had several traps set up, but still a large amount of ants. For those who are thinking of renting in the future, with Disney offering free meal plan. The cost of the home rental , and buying /cooking your meals as well as the extra billing for cleaning they tack on in the end. adding in the amount of gas used { 5 day trip 1 and 1/2 tanks of gas in a 2009 Chevy Malibu, so you now know how far it was}. I would consider just booking in Disney moderate priced hotel.

the condo was clean, spacious and very comfortable. However the master bedroom need a need mattress and bedding set. The ... condo was located in a residential area and some shady looking people were outside at night. The key code was incorrect so we waited in the sun to get info on how to contact leasing company from the nice open house lady, who contacted the company for us and then the company said not to call back unless emergency, excuse me? Can't get inside the rented condo an emergency/

Definately the right decision.
Badger 3 Aug 2, 2009
This was a first for us and it was definately the right decision. The home was in very good condition and very roomy. The ... kids loved the pool. Although it was relatively small, it was a treat for them to use it whenever they wanted. The house was in a gated community away from built up areas so we felt relatively safe. The house was well furninshed and stocked with plenty of dishes and towels. The washer and dryer were newer and functioned great. Because of them we were able to pack lighter and have more room to take back items we purchased on vacation. There was a television in every bedroom and two DVD players. The best surprise was the internet access. We were able to go online to look up maps and pricing for the different activities we were interested in. Obviously, we brought our own laptop as it would be too much to expect to have a computer furnished. There was a ping pong table in the garage which the kids put to good use. Before we went I read reviews that complained that the game room was not air conditioned. Well, the game room is actually the garage and who in their right mind air conditions the garage? It is our understanding that the homes are in various locations in the Orlando area. Ours was in Davenport and was only a 10 minute drive from the Disney properties and 15 minutes from Universal, Sea World, and Wet-n-Wild. In short, if you are thinking of going this route you are making the right choice. We will be doing this again on our next trip to Florida.
