the location of the hotel is great, but it really stops there. the walls in the hotel rooms are so paper thin you can here ... EVERYTHING going on, even down the hall! parking was horrific and you really can't take showers when the people in the next room are because it causes the water to go from really cold to extremely hot! the price to stay there was cheap, so you do get what you pay for. i won't be staying there again.

You Get What You Pay For
Jess Dec 1, 2009
Like I said you get what you pay for. This place was so bad. You can hear people walking by with their loud conversations. ... You CAN NOT take a shower if your neighbor is taking one. We got woken up by LV PD at 3am threatening to break down someone's door. The walls are so thin you can hear your neighbors conversations. And you get lost trying to find your way to your hotel room. We stayed in the capri building WAY in the back of the casino and we got lost every time trying to find our room. I don't think I will stay here ever again. Too Scary and Too Noisy.

The location of this place was very central and it was easy to walk to most places. The hotel was pretty dirty though and ... they didn't clean the room for 2 days in a row. We had to call them in to get it cleaned. The tub also didn't drain properly, it would nearly fill up while having a shower. Wouldn't stay there again.

The most confusing hotel
Mommyof2 Nov 30, 2009
Check in was very simple and easy both rooms were just as we requested. Getting to the room from the check in desk was easy. ... The rooms were clean and exactly what we expected for the price nothing fancy and nothing run down or shabby. The showers were odd one minute they would be warm then the next minute it would be very hot or very cold. Getting to the parking garage was very confusing and difficult as many of the elevators all over the hotel were not working. Overall it was an average experience. We will probably not be staying at the Imperial Palace again.

Good Time, Found & Returned Lost Cash
SoCal Couple Nov 29, 2009
We arrived at the imperial palace and had to wait a long time to check in. Also, we had already parked the car, so we were ... lugging our bags with us. It would have been better to use the valet, but we did not. We were pleased with our room - it was roomy and nice. However, the luv tub was pretty old. There were some spots that were touched up with paint. There was also some lime build-up on the showerhead. I'm sure it was sanitary, but it was not "first class." The tub was great - no jets, but huge enough for my 6 ft husband to lie down in the middle of tub and be completely submerged. There was more than enough hot water for 2 baths! The imperial palace has a nice location near ceasar's palace and the flamingo. We also walked down to the Bellagio and Venetian and saw all the beautiful features of those casinos! We had a great night out - so great that we accidentally left $600 CASH in the room when we left. We are normally very responsible people - but we were so sure we had everything that we did not double check. We realized we had lost the money a week later. We called the Imperial Palace and they reported that a housekeeper had found the money and turned it in! They took the cash to the cage and mailed us a check for the found cash. We were shocked and very pleased to get our money back. I trust the imperial palace!

Good location, older property
LB Nov 28, 2009
We have stayed in Imperial Palace for one night. It was hard to get to hotel from the parking garage since there are few ... posted directions. When we checked in, we were told that we are getting a room with a king size bed but the room had a queen size bed. However, the hotel staff offered to give us the room with a king size bed when we complained. The location is the best thing about this hotel, it's right in the middle of the action. Rooms are well maintained but the hotel is quite old and you can see it, especially in the bathroom. Overall, we are satisfied and may stay there again since location is great and the rooms are perfectly adequate.

Imperial Palace Stay
Mom Nov 27, 2009
The ice machines were both broken on our floor and I reported it and they replaced them the same day. It would be nice to ... have a coffee pot in the room for early morning coffee while getting ready for the day. The food at the Emperor's Buffet was not hot, the taste was ok. but it just wasn't hot and it is too expensive. Otherwise, the beds were comfortable and we weren't too far down the hall from the elevators. The noise we encountered was from one of the balconies about 3 floors down from us and across to another tower and they kept hollering about 5-6 pm each night. Otherwise the rooms were quiet when we were in them. I would stay there again.

We were very discouraged by the prices in the restaurants that were open and also by the fact that the Tea House was closed ... (probably necessary for repair). Great Friends Nov 20, 2009
We had a room on the second floor with a balcony that had a 7' brick wall, so the view was non existant. It was a bit noisy, ... thin walls. The entire hotel was very clean with a friendly staff. The entertainment was great, be it in the casino or attending one of the shows. We seen Matsuri and it was pretty darn cool. Everything you need is right in the hotel. The location is perfect! Right in the middle of the strip. It even has it's own monorail stop so getting up and down the strip is very easy. Plus I won $834 on the penny slots after starting with only $10.

THE GIMMICK IS THAT YOUR ROOM IS BOOKED NOT IN THE ACTUAL HOTEL BUT AN OLD TACKY MOTEL OUT BACK. TO GET A DECENT ROOM YOU ARE ... TOLD YOU MUST PAY $10-20 FOR AN UPGRADE. I PAID THE $10 FOR A VERY MARGINAL STANDARD ROOM WITH PEELING WALL PAPER. YOU EXPECT MORE FROM A STRIP HOTEL AND WITH THE HIDDEN UPGRADE FEE YOU CAN FIND A MUCH BETTER BARGAIN ON STRIP OR NEAR THE STRIP.
