I was greeted promptly at check-in, and guided through the process. It was almost too quick; I hadn't quite caught my breath ... or my bearings before I was on my way to the elevator. The concierge?desk clerk? found me a great restaurant for dinner that night. The rooms are small -- really only a one person or intimate two person space, but totally met my needs since I was out all day anyway. Check out was smooth, they held my bags until time for my flight, and got me to the train station (two blocks away). Loved the free wireless. So many places need to charge for every breath you take, it's nice to find someplace where the pricing is "complete."

Hotel adequate but untruthful
triphealthy.com Nov 16, 2009
I am diabetic and I called the hotel to find out if breakfast would be available Sun.AM. They assured me that there was ... breakfast everyday in the restaurant on the lobby level of the hotel. That was not true. Breakfast is only served on weekdays. It was good that I carry snacks with me. Sunday the electricity was turned off from 12:30 to 6PM. There was no advance notice of this. Then they charged $1 a bag to hold luggage. There was no parking and their agreement with a garage was $33 with no in & out privileges. That was outrageous. We found a place for $15 for 24 hours nearby.

I visit my daughter in Phila regularly, and have stayed at the Warwick before. The Warwick was too pricey for a quick one ... nite visit, so I tried Club Quarters based on good reviews [...]...I have to say that for the price, in Center City Phila, it was a great deal. Room was not large, but comfortable, since all I was doing was sleeping and changing there.

Absolutely Worst Hotel Experience!
Disgruntled Nov 12, 2009
This was a horrible experience from the moment I arrived. There was somebody working the front desk but he refused to check ... us in. He rudely pointed to the self-service kiosks. Then I got to my room -- and IT HAD NO WINDOWS! When I went back down to the lobbby my choice was to switch to a smoking room or a room with a twin bed. I was able to change to a different room later that night when one of my colleagues changed his room, too (I got his old room). My new room was on the second floor -- next to the kitchen and above the garbage dumpsters. I awoke at 4:11am when the garbage trucks came to unload the dumpsters -- loudly for a half hour. I never was able to fall back asleep. This is a HORRIBLE hotel.

great little hotel, knowledgable staff
a traveler Nov 8, 2009
This is a great little boutique hotel located in the heart of Philly's Center City. Very clean and nicely decorated to look a ... little bit more upscale than it really is. TV, internet, and water/coffee service in the lobby. Fresh water cooler on every floor. Very knowledgable staff who always had good, swift answers to any question I posed them (where to go for breakfast, what's the best way to get to the airport, etc.). Location can't be beat - right in the thick of things, where most tourist attractions are. Lots of shopping, restaurants, and drugstores all around. Only two negatives I can think of, which were relatively minor. First, my room was quite small, and the bathroom seemed like it used to be a closet, with the door blocking the front door when opened. Awkward. Also, I stayed on a Friday night and it got super noisy outside when the bars let out at 2am. What's with Philly people and the nonstop shouting and horn-honking? Pretty annoying, but it did die down shortly thereafter. Overall, this place had everything I could possibly want, and at a good price. I'd definitely stay there again.

The location is great; plenty of restaurants and other attractions in the neighborhood. An easy (and safe) 10-minute walk to ... the convention center. The staff was very helpful. The only frustration I had with the hotel was that there is no loading zone at the door. They state there is a 20-minute loading zone across the street, but neither during check-in nor check-out was this space available. As a result, I had to park my car in the underground garage up the street and make multiple trips back and forth.

Ellen Oct 31, 2009
The hotel has a 3 PM arrival policy but had a room ready for us when we arrived at 9 AM. Staff was welcoming and remembered ... us from a previous visit. We continue to choose Club Quarters for its excellent location and pleasant small suites with mini-kitchen. Stay was very comfortable. Street noise from 2nd floor room overlooking Chestnut St. was manageable with closed drapes and some music played in room.

This is a great option -- while rooms are small and street noise can be noisy, there is not much to do about the latter, and ... the small rooms are perfectly supplemented with excellent useful amenities -- fast internet FREE, coffee, a work station, a microwave, and a mini fridge. Picky Traveler Oct 5, 2009
Bustling Center City location is just steps from fine dining, Rittenhouse Square park, and Philly's best shopping. A ... leisurely walk takes you to the galleries of Old City, the Phila. Art Museum, and Phila. Academy of Fine Arts. It's an ideal location and very reasonably priced. On the minus side, our room was on the hotel's first floor, which is the second floor of the building, overlooking an alley: dark even at noon on a sunny day and stunningly noisy when the trash trucks come through at about 4AM. This room was the only one made up when we checked in around 1PM. To their credit, the helpful staff took the initiative and offered to relocate us later in the day when more rooms were available, but we opted to stay put. Another time, I'd accept their offer. Another small quibble: only two bath towels and one hand towel for two adults -- inconvenient if you wash your hair.

HUSBAND AND I WENT FOR A 3 DAY GET-AWAY - OUR HOTEL WAS A PERFECT LOCATION - WALKED EVERYWHERE. DID MOSTLY SIGHT-SEEING ... DURING THE DAY (LIBERTY BELL, INDEPENDENCE HALL, BETSY ROSS HOUSE, MUSEUMS, THEATER DISTRICT, ART DISTRICT, SOUTH STREET, CHINA TOWN,FRONT STREET (DID A SHORT BOAT RIDE) LIST GOES ON AND ON. THERE IS JUST SO MUCH TO SEE AND DO. THE ART MUSEUM CAN EASILY TAKE 2 DAYS IN ITSELF. IF YOU ARE A SHOPPER - GREAT STORES. NIGHT-TIME WAS GREAT ALSO. WONDERFUL RESTURANTS ( A GREAT ONE RIGHT IN CLUB QUARTERS - "DAVIOS". THERE ARE JAZZ CLUBS, PLAYS, MOVIES, ... NOT ONLY WAS OUR MOTEL IN A PERFECT LOCATION BUT WAS UNBELIEVABLE FOR THE PRICE. EXTREMELY CLEAN, KITCHENETTE WITH UTENSILS AND APPLIANCES INCLUDING MICROWAVE. BATHROOM WITH GREAT LIGHTING (MAKE-UP MIRROR) FULL LENGTH DOOR MIRROR. SMALL SITTING AREA, LARGE DESK WITH 2 COMFORTABLE CHAIRS, VERY COMFORTABLE BED! FOUND IT TO BE VERY QUIET IN THE EVENING. LOVELY LOBBY, FREE INTERNET, LARGE SITTING AREA WITH FLAT SCREEN TV, BOOKS, NEWSPAPERS, GAMES, ... COFFEE, TEA, IN LOBBY AND COOKIES EVERY EVENING WHICH I THOUGHT WAS NICE. SECURITY WAS ALSO GREAT. WE DROVE INTO THE CITY AND PARKING WAS DIRECTLY ACROSS THE STREET WHICH WAS EASY - IT WAS EXPENSIVE TO PARK BUT WE ARE USE TO DRIVING INTO MANHATTEN WHERE PARKING IS COSTLY AS WELL. WE DID RECIEVE A 15% DISCOUNT HOWEVER. ALL IN ALL IT WAS A GREAT FUN FILLED 3 DAYS.

Greg Sep 26, 2009
The hotel is reasonably priced, conveniently located, the staff is helpful, the room was clean and comfortable if not ... spacious. It was a business trip and I didn't spend much time in the room so the small size didn't really matter. It was spotless, the desk was large and the room has free wired and wireless--something few downtown hotels seem to have these days. They will even deliver a stair climber or exercycle to your room. Near Rittenhouse Square, restaurant row and a 10 minute walk tot he convention center along well-lit, clean streets that I never felt uncomfortable walking even late at night. I did not eat in Davios restaurant but know people who did and they liked it. there are dozens of restaurants within a few blocks of every type--upscale, fast food, and ethnic. I would certainly stay again.
