"Unforgetable Weekend Getaway"!
PASol Nov 2, 2009
Arriving on a rainy day was not a problem staying inside the hotel for that night with the great and friendly staff and ... delicious food. I was really surprised not to find some type of paper or notepad, in such a lovely and such well equipped room. It was comfortable to have the fast taxi service and the perfect location for this hotel, especially when visiting the area for the first time. Overall, I must say it was a fantastic sleeping-over experience and the room and room service was so divined that it made it really difficult to leave the room and depart the hotel on the returning day!!!

The Georgia Aquarium and The World of Coca-cola are two wonderful attractions in short walking distance from the hotel. Lots of restaurants are also in the area.

LOCATION OF HOTEL WAS TOPS. WE WERE LOCATED NEAR CENTENNIAL PARK, AQUARIUM, COKE MUSEUM, UNIVERSITIES, CNN, GEORGIA DOOM, ... MARTA, AND MANY OTHER ATTRACTIONS ALL WITHIN ONE OR TWO BLOCKS. HOWEVER, WE DO TRAVEL ALOT AND THERE DID NOT APPEAR TO BE ALOT OF AMENITIES, EX. PERSONAL SAFE, FREE INTERNET, BUFFETS, REFRIGERATOR. OVERALL, HOTEL WAS CLEAN AND STAFF WERE VERY ATTENTIVE OR VERY BORED. SOMETIMES BAD DIRECTIONS WERE GIVEN, MAKE SURE YOU DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH, AS FAR AS DISTANCE AND LOCATION OF DESTINATIONS, BUT I GUESS WE DID OK. HOWEVER, THERE IS A FRIENDLY INFORMATION DESK WITH A LIVE PERSON THERE TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SIDEWALK ON SPRING ST NW AND INTERNATIONAL ST. WE WOULD CERTAINLY GO BACK AND STAY THERE NOW THAT WE KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT.

Football Game
BamaTraveller Sep 6, 2009
Great location. No parking without expensive valet. Clean nice rooms. Went for a game at the Dome which was 5 minutes walk ... away. Everything pleasant except the hotel showed my reservation as being cancelled, even though I pre-paid 8 months ago on Orbitz, and the reservation showed as valid through Orbitz. Best to call the hotel before arriving there to confirm your reservation. Very polite and helpful staff, but I had my panic moment because of a hard sellout at the hotel. They corrected the cancellation (don't know to this day who or when it was cancelled) and got my room.

Worst ever Marriott Experience!!
Disappointed "Previous" Marriott Fan! Sep 6, 2009
I chose Marriott due to normally excellent experience. While this location was ideal (walking distance of tourist ... attractions), the housekeeping staff was awful, and lobby hotel had horrible odor. Decor throughout was shabby for a Marriott Hotel. Very disappointing. Awoke with backaches each morning (6 nights!) from a poor mattress...my husband and I!! Loud air-conditioning unit. Best experience was from bellmen and parking attendants!

Wonderful staff!
Charlie Aug 6, 2009
I stayed only one night on a business trip. However, the experience was very positive. The hotel is in a wonderful location, ... within walking distance to many of Atlanta's fine attractions. The staff was professional and courteous, from the bellmen to the front desk staff. Very helpful with questions posed. The room was very good, clean and reasonably quiet. The kitchen had an early morning grease fire requiring a hasty evacuation at about 6 AM. However, the staff couldn't apologize enough for the inconvenience. An apologetic letter was delived to each room within a few hours of the incident. I didn't eat at the hotel so I cannot rate the food. Overall, I would stay here again.
