My husband and I stayed at this hotel with two friends of ours. We traveled to Miami to watch the Dolphins football game the ... following Sunday. Our room smelled a little smokey-though we requested nonsmoking. However, the location was perfect! Super close to a HUGE mall, lots of restaurants, and the Dolphins stadium. Next time we take a trip to Miami we will be staying at the LaQuinta in Sunrise.

Our second stay at La Quinta, Sunrise. Great value for the price. Well located for everything but the beach, and even that ... can be reached in 20 minutes or so. Easy access to Fort Lauderdale airport and the Sawgrass Mall.

This stay was nice. I do not want to grip about some of the guests because I know the hotel cannot pick and choose it's ... company. Housekeeping for the most part did a good job upkeeping the room, however we always needed more towels. The blind in our room for some reason would not roll back up. I don't feel this is that bad though to be concerned if this hotel is not sufficient or not. However, this hotel was VERY nice and updated. The Air condition worked FABULOUSLY! The bed, extremely comfortable and the complimentary breakfast had many options to choose from for breakfast. Someone was always at the front desk to greet you as you entered the hotel. Minutes away from dining, movies and shopping. Great stay and i'll definately be back!

Publix or Walgreens about 1/2 mile down 136th (south) Head north on 136th and you'll run into Sunrise, make a right and you'll see the sawgrass mall, movie theater and many places to dine.

I went to LaQuinta for about 4 nights to look at houses since I will be moving to the area soon. The hotel is conveniently ... located right next to IKEA. It is also near a Jamba Juice, a Starbucks and other stores that are a walking distance. Sawgrass Mills Mall is very close by. I would not say it is a walking distance (at least not a short one) but it is a very short drive. Near Sunrise Blvd for restaurants and what not and also easy access to the I595 and SR 84. For the amount that paid, I was expecting much less. The staff were friendly the rooms were clean. I only wish there were more than 21 channels on the TV.

It is a nice hotel. The room was very nice. I stayed 4 nights and there were no linen changes except for the one i asked ... for. The elevator was broke half the time and apparently they knew about it. The staff spend more time not working than they should be, There were cleaning ladies on my floor all day but they did not hit my room. I looked like they were messing around in the same rooms all of the time.

Me and my friend went there this past weekend, the front desk girls were super nice and very helpful...the location was ... perfect not even 10 mins from the sawgrass mill mall, a starbucks not even 5 mins away...The room was clean, the sheets looked a little old but it was other then that it was really nice.

Stayed at this hotel for dental clinicals at Nova Southeastern University. Conveniently located to school. Check-in was a ... little slow as they had a problem with previous customer. Our room was fine- nicely decorated, comfy bed with lots of pillows and clean. Staff was friendly. Would stay again.

Easy check-in, nice staff. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. There was a little bit of noise around 1am that went ... on for a while, but otherwise very comfortable stay. Wish it would have had a gym though.

The hotel was in a great location. Close to concert venue. Rooms were clean. Pool was enjoyable, but not heated. Probably ... wont matter during the heat of the summer. Would definitely stay here again. Great deal.

I had traveled for a wedding in Sunrise FL, and I enjoyed the location. So close to many restaurants and mall. I was not ... happy that I had to sleep on dirty bedding. I was told that the cleaning staff had left and I had to be changed to another room. I did not want to change to another room with two beds. I prefer King. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay at this location.

Well, The hotel is very beautiful however, My stay was not that pleasant. Hotel check in was at 2 but i did not arrive until ... 4. My room was not ready @ 4!! Then when I get there, they tell me they have a room but it will be smoking. I stated I specifically asked for non smoking and that was what was available on Orbitz web site. They said they didn't see that in their system. I had to wait for another 30 minutes for my room. I was SO upset at how I was treated that I called Laquinta directly. I told them that it was 4 and i was still waiting on a room. I then discovered that on their website it stated that their rooms were non-smoking unless stated otherwise so, I didn't understand why it was a problem that my room wasn't ready. I got the run around from them and they told me to call orbitz!! I didn't understand because orbitz was not the reason that my room wasn't ready. Anywho i tried to call laquinta customer service but the call center manager failed to tell me they weren't open on the weekends... SO i called orbitz and they stated that they only sell what laquinta has available.. So I WAS VERY UPSET. When they finally got my room ready.. There were feces in the toilet and trash on the floor (which lead me to believe they just threw some sheets on the bed). They had a card from the manager stating that if there were any problems to call him directly... he never picked up nor did he return my calls.. All in all, my hotel stay was a sham.. I will never book through orbitz again (apparently when you book through a 3rd party, you get 3rd rate service) And I will not be staying with laquinta anymore. (and their continental breakfast was full of spoiled fruit and very little food)
