Very Nice

This hotel is located right on the beach in Hilton Head. We enjoyed walks on the beach, the swimming pool areas were ... outstanding and the indoor pool was heavenly. We rented bicycles within walking distance of the hotel and road around paths on the island and on the beach ending up at the hotel. Would highly recommend this hotel for trips to Hilton Head Island, SC.

The hotel was great. It was clean, the staff was friendly, and there was plenty for the kids to do. It was right on the beach ... so the kids were able to swim both in the ocean and the swimming pool. There were activities every day for the kids to participate in. If there is one thing I could change, it would be the beds...they weren't terrible but not very comfortable.

Great location, perfect for a vacation with Children, it was very relaxing, spent the majority of time on the beach. Eating ... out, we did have amazing food, staff at hotel were very good at pointing out good locations for the family. Breakfast was good with a full buffet and very helpful staff.

We had a great time at this hotel. The location is very nice; ocean view room was great. Balacony was fun, nice clean rooms. ... Very clean, very comfortable beds. There's lots for couples or families to do here. We even were able to walk across the street to a great restaurant.

Amazing friendly staff, courteous, clean, beautiful, just as the pictures showed online. I would definitely stay there again! ... If you have a busy schedule as I did and eating late was a must there are no options.

This trip was just for pleasure. We simply enjoyed spending time on the beach and soaking up the sun. Every morning we went ... on our morning walk and returned to enjoy the complimentary lemon or cucumber/ mint water and fresh fruit for the walkers and runners which was set-up by the pool. Very nice touch!! One suggestion I would like to make would be that the hotel provide a shuttle service to and from the airport and to the mall.

Appreciated the quick delivery of a refrigerator when the room had none. Pleasant and helpful staff. Saw the timeshare ... folks but appreciated that they didn't work hard to show us something since we weren't interested. [...] at the Concierge was quite pleasant, helpful and had helped us line up golf prior to our arrival. We had always vacationed at Myrtle Beach but loved the Hilton Head layout among the trees. We rented bikes at the Marriott for a day and loved riding on the beach and the trails. I had hip replacement surgery in 2/08 and was thrilled that the biking was easy! We definitely recommend the Marriott for a wonderful vacation with all of the amenities you could want. Traveling only as a couple, I should have requested the King bed room. Our room had two doubles and the bed was smaller that we like.

Be sure to bring your GPS with you. If you are new to the island as we were, it would have been difficult to find the restaurants we picked from the magazines and flyers.

Amazinng Hotel Stay!!

We had a wonderful quiet stay at the Marriot at Hilton Head. It was a beautiful sea view. We loved hanging out at the hammock ... and the hot tub.. The pools they had were amazing and big too. Everything about the place was amazing and we enjoyed our entiew stay!

Great Location on beach close to golf and restaurants. Staff could not be more helpful. Great pool although had to get up ... early to get good seats with shade by the pool. Great lunch menu at cafe and pool. Reasonable prices for a resort. Great bar. Live music on the weekends. Kids enjoyed the activities.

EVERY EMPLOY WAS VERY HELPFUL AND POLITE, THE LOCATION TO THE BEACH WAS IN WALKING DISTANCE, ROOMS CLEAN, POOL NICE, AND OUR ... OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS PERFECT. BUT MY EXPERIENCE WITH ORBITZ WAS BAD, CALLED ASKED FOR A KING SIZE BED, REP SAID SHE WOULD CALL HOTEL TO MAKE ARRANGEMENT BUT WHEN WE ARRIVED THE HOTEL HAD NO RECORD OF ANY CONTACT WITH ORBITZ ABOUT THIS REQUEST.

4 star hotel......maybe a 3

Orbitz advertised the hotel had been rennovated. That was not true!!! If this hotel is a 4 star hotel then I would hate to ... see a 3 star. We ended up having to switch rooms and pay more because the air conditioner in our first room did not work. The air conditioner in our second room was a little better, but not much. The hotel was old and dirty. I will say that the staff was very friendly and did want to be helpful. The pool area was nice. I would not stay at this hotel again.

We enjoyed the Marriott Resort and Spa very much. The staff was very friendly, helpful and happy. The hotel and rooms were ... very clean and roomy. We went only for a few days to relax and we did! The pool area was huge. It has seating for -- maybe 100-- a poolside bar, an indoor/outdoor poolside restaurant and service at your chair! And it was all right on the beach! What I wanted to do was get some sun, relax and be waited on. That's exactly what I got. We rented a car and went out to different local restaurants at night and even went to Havannah Georgia for the day!

We understand that the Hilton Head Marriott Resort & Spa was recently updated. It was attractively decorated. The fitness ... center was well equipped, and the food was good. My husband loved the fact that there were two closets so he had his own. The spa robes in the rooms were a nice touch, and we had a great pool and ocean view.

A Nice Place on the Beach

We arrived late in the afternoon on a rainy day. As soon as we arrived, the sunshine peered through the clouds. The staff ... welcomed us at the car with smiles and directions. Check-in was a breeze. Our room was clean and spacious and had a view of the beach and pool. On the ground level, the hotel has a small exercise room next to the indoor pool. One can walk out to the pool and beach. They also have a bicycle rental place. We rented bicycles one day and rode about 8 miles down the mile with the wind at our back. Coming back, the wind in our faces, proved a challenge and we ended up taking advantage of Hilton Head Island's wonderful network of bicycle trails. If you want a great location, well-maintained and quality accomodations, and top notch, friendly service, this is the place for you.

Hilton Head has a large variety of restaurants ranging from the fast food chains to gourmet. Best restaurant experience Redfish--about 10 minutes from the hotel. Good food and wine. Callahan's Sports bar had every football game on it's many TVs, good beer, and a friendly atmosphere.
