I was visiting LA for business. Here are my complaints: " Didn't like the fact that I had to pay $15 a day to use the ... internet service--this should be part of the room package, as it is with many hotels. " The TV reception wasn't great either, although I didn't watch much anyway. Crummy selection of OnDemand movies. " The whirlpool was never very hot The hotel was quiet and well-maintained, my room was great, loved the mini-kitchen. My bathroom was very small, but the shower was hot and had great pressure. The pool was always the perfect temperature, and a good size for doing laps. The staff was very pleasant. Did not get a chance to use the restaurant.

One of the best of the 7 hotels in USA we stayed in over last 6.5 weeks. Good position for Beverley Hills as good Wilshire ... Blvd bus (bus stop at door) to Rodeo drive and Santa Monica beach only $1.25. Nice small restaurant at hotel but pity no other eating places nearby. We were leaving on 11.30pm flight to Australia and hotel kindly allowed us to use pool after check out at 12 noon but no pool rest room showers. However we recommend this hotel

First Trip tp LA
TC Aug 30, 2009
The hotel has a very impressive, newly remodeled entrance when you first pull up. The staff was very friendly and helpful and ... my room was clean. The hotel is located on Wilshire Blvd in Beverly Hills but its at least six or seven long blocks from any coffee shop, store or any real shopping areas. The area is really residential and quiet. Please consider driving or renting a car for convenience when staying here. The hotel has two sides, one has elevators and overlooks the pool, cabanas and the courtyard while the other side provides only a small maze of staircases to gain access to your room and I found this side to be somewhat secluded. Definitely find out what side of the hotel your room is on before booking. I was overall satisfied with my experience but would probably stay in Century City next time and be close to shopping and other conveniences.

The hotel was very well managed, and beatifully appointed, in a great location and overall great. The hotel is upscale, and ... the staff extremely friendly. The only thing we didn't like was the fact that they shut the hot tub off at 9 p.m. (it was okay, we still enjoyed it for 30 mintues before it got freezing cold), and we had too many stairs to climb to our room with our heavy luggage. I wish they would have offered to bring the bags to our room, but no one did. Parking is not included and you have to pay $20 per night for it, which is fine but it's still a bit pricey. The gym is small but nice, and the pool area is beautiful. The on-site restaurant has great breakfast but exceptionally pricey ($17 omelette!). Despite it all we enjoyed it very much and the room was absolutely HUGE and wonderfully appointed.

Great price for the location
Jan Aug 4, 2009
On the positive side: We were in town for a wedding, and this hotel was close to all events. which was very important to ... us. The pool is nice and there was a spa hot tub right outside our room. the rooms are quiet and clean. The valet parking was easy to use and the drivers were always courteous, helpful, and friendly. On the other hand ... not so much with the front desk workers (although one young lady was very nice) - these people tended to be rude and somewhat snobby-acting. The fees for internet service were not explained and it is very easy to just log-in without knowing you're being charged. Bathrooms are very small and cramped.

Good location for my itinerary
Donna Jul 13, 2009
My husband and I stayed the night befoe he had to go in to a local hospital for surgery. When I checked in they noted that ... I pre-paid with orbitz and therefore I didn't get the best room location. I stayed on a few extra nights. Room was adaquate, however there was no elevator up to the floor that we were on. The bathroom was extremely small and the lighting was poor. Other than that the room was clean and the staff was friendly. The hotel was re-doing the front entrance to the hotel so you have to be careful going in. Also parking was $20 a night, but some the hotels I checked was more. Also, I was missing an article of clothing when I packed to leave. I asked the front desk to check with housekeeping, they coould not seem to find it.

Need Improved Beds
Daryl Oct 26, 2008
The Beverly Hills Plaza is very nice hotel for the price and locaation. Most of the service was good. The major issue is with ... the comfort of the bed. The bed matress is the most uncomfortable I have ever slept on. It was extemely hard and appears to be very old. In addition, they need to replace the two small pillows they provide for sleeping and a very outdated comforter.

I was very impressed with the accommodations. We had a one-bedroom suite with a full kitchen and dining area at an excellent ... price. I brought my grandson to see UCLA and go to a football game. The hotel is very close to Westwood. My only negative comment is the TV reception was not great and when we tried to watch a pay-per-view movie the system was not available.
