First class everything!

This is my second time in Chicago. My boyfriend and I just loves this city. First time I went here we stayed in Marriot. It ... was comfy and nice but it was kind of boring and dull. Well this time we chose Hyatt because of the cheaper deal. We were so happy we decided to pick this hotel. Upon entering the hotel, it was a huge difference from Marriot O'hare. Hyatt is more of a sophisticated hotel. The bar was great, the servers and bartenders were very attentive, rooms were cozy and comfortable. It feels like more of a city vibe than Marriot. Will definitely choose this hotel when I'm in town!

Penny pinchers!
sternum Nov 25, 2009
The Hotel is clean, and had a nice fit-out. But if i stay in a 4-star hotel I DO NOT EXPECT TO PAY FOR INTERNET ACCESS!! I ... could have stayed at the Holiday Inn down the road and would have got complimentary internet access. In this day and age, when the cost of operating it over this many guests is next to nothing, to charge $10 PER DAY for internet access is an not only antiquated, it's downright embarrassing for a 4-star establishment! The rooms service is expensive - with an additional $3 delivery + 22% added on top of the advertised prices.

Incredible spot not far from anywhere
Mike fitness/food explorer Oct 19, 2009
The hotel was everything I was looking and more. I was in Chicago to participate in the Men's Health Urbanathlon and to hit ... the spots Adam went to from his show Man vs Food. All the hotels in the downtown area were booked solid for the weekend and the few that were available were asking for way too much $$. Fortunately I was able to find something not too far from the race. The last thing I wanted to do was wake up really early to have a small breakfast, drive X amount of miles, look for parking, and get my warm-up in before the race. It didnt take no longer than 15 mins to get to downtown from the hotel and find parking 2 blocks away the start/finish line. How sweet is that!! Let me tell you about the hotel: the night I arrived to check in, the front desk was very friendly and helpful. Took less than 60 seconds for them to find my reservation [...] and get my room key. Before heading to my room I asked the front desk about local deep dish pizza spots they could point out to me. Gino's East and Giordano's were fantastic, delicious, and right around the corner. The room was very elegant and comfortable. I was a bit worried about the noise since the airport is 2 miles away from the hotel but not one nite was I bothered by the noise. The fitness center was just as big as a personal training studio. If youre looking to get a workout in your stay, this studio was perfect. It convinced me to stay (im a fitness junkie). The bar in the hotel played every game of the MLB playoffs and college football game so I didn't get to miss out on my Yankees!! They must have had 4 tv's facing you anywhere you sat on the bar. The only problem I had was with the parking. If you rent a car look to pay $20 bucks per nite in your stay. As for sight-seeing and hitting up local hole-in-the-walls for authentic chicago food the hotel provided a good start up point. Everything was no longer than a 20 minute drive; Sears tower, Navy pier, United Center, Bears Stadium, Museums, etc... Definitely hit up Lucky's Restaurant, by Wrigley field, awesome sandwiches!

Stupendous!
TravelingTeam Coach Oct 12, 2009
I simply loved staying at the O'Hare Hyatt Regency. The staff were all top notch and service was the best I have experienced ... in a good while. The only draw back that the hotel may not have had control over was the fact that there was apparently some sort of dance competition and there were young teenage girls running around and being loud and silly (completely age appropriate but they should have not been allowed to run free as they did). Where were the parents / chaperones?

the hotel staff was friendly and very helpful. However we only got to spend one night becasue our flight was delayed and we ... were not going to catch our connecting flight at Philadelphia. Andy Aug 26, 2009
I came and went in the middle of the night. I can report that the purchase on orbitz was fast and economical, shuttle to and ... from O'hare airport was convenient, checkin and checkout were fast, and the room was quiet and well appointed. I will remember this hotel because of the bizarre chandelier in the central elevator bay made out of many dripping horns of orange glass. A bit of psychedelia in a concrete box.

Nice Airport Hotel for Adults
JJB Aug 23, 2009
Neat hotel design with the open center courtyard all the way to the top. Of course noise carries in this "Embassy Suites" ... style design but much less than we expected. Very clean. Great staff. Kids were disappointed that there was no pool, but this is a smartly decorated (modern) hotel designed for corporate meeting guests. Location to O'Hare is great. Hotel shuttle station is a bit odd at O'Hare, but this hotel had the most frequent, friendly shuttle service I've experienced.

This hotel does not seem to be located near anything; buying some small toiletries because of travel restrictions were expensive. And, at the gift shop they had a bottle of wine that is abot 2/3 the size of a regular one at an astonishing $17!!! WHAT? You've got to be kidding. Dinner at the bar was uncomfortable because the many TV screens around the ceiling have annoying lights behind them.

There are a variety of dining options just a few minutes drive from the hotel, but be careful driving with all of the constructions going on. There are not any quick food options within walking distance which made finding breakfast a little difficult.
--Heidi, Champaign, IL Jun 25, 2009
Check prices carefully when you book. Our total for the flight from San Francisco and hotel together, through Orbitz, was cheaper than either the flight or the hotel alone. (Almost $600 for either one, but we paid $525 for the flight plus hotel). It can be cheaper to buy a ticket from somewhere and throw it away, versus booking the hotel by itself.

--Super Chaz, Pensacola, FL Jun 2, 2009
They have a very few rooms just off the main lobby on the 2nd floor. I was at a convention in the hotel and never had to use the elevator one time in 2 days. What a convenience and time saver. After one of the meetings a bunch of us were headed to the lounge and the others hit the restroom and I took the same amount of time to hit my room for that job and to reload my business card case and arrived at the lounge the same time as everyone else.
