Nice place, but did not have full power for tv and lights little dark first night. Internet worked but they wanted to charge ... even though nothing else worked. Then they changed their minds and did not charge. Nice room, pool & easy access to beach front, even with the bad storm.

The hotel was horrible. We had a partial view of the ocean, but it was mostly of the parking lot. The air filter in the room ... didn't look like it had been changed since the hotel was built. The floor was disgusting. The bottoms of our feet were black for the carpet. The staff was nice but didn't seem to care. The hotel was in a shady part of town, not what expected for the price we paid. The beach was really disgusting as well.

Great Hotel, Pool, View, & Location!
DPF22 Jan 11, 2010
The service here is impeccable - every staff member always warmly greets you and are very respectful. The rooms are nice and ... the pool is fantastic. My recommendation - don't waste money on a partial ocean view - either do the full ocean view or none at all (the cost premium for a partial is not worth it). The location is active with great restaurants, bars, beach views, etc.... This is a great place for either business or personal!

Stay in this hotel it is fabulous!
Crissy Jan 7, 2010
This hotel is located right on the beach in Pacific Beach. There are loads of restaurants, shopping and beach activities ... within walking distance. Just a few miles away is Mission Beach where there is a roller coaster and other fun things to do. We ate at a small bar there called Coasters where there were great drinks and fabulous seafood. So, the location was fabulous. Our room was gorgeous and comfortable. I wanted to take the bed home with me. When I woke up that morning I opened the sliding glass door to our little outdoor area so that I could listen to the ocean and laid back down in bed for a while. It was so relaxing. I have never stayed in a place with such great service. Every person in the hotel was top of the line customer service. The only thing that I did not like was that they charged $20/day for parking. I thought that was quite pricey. It was valet only, but the valet people were very nice. Very enjoyable stay and I will definitely be staying there again.

There is a fun bar not far from the hotel called the PB Alehouse. They have some good brew and if you get the chance you have to try the Lobster Macaroni and Cheese. Delicious!

"Breathtaking Views...Fab & Friendly!"
Family Travellers Jan 3, 2010
We booked this trip for a week's vacation as part of a flight/hotel/rental car package through Orbit. Overall we were very ... pleased with arrangements. The Hotel had directions to attractions in the San Diego area which was very helpful. We travelled very easily to and from this location. Some minor problems include: Surprise parking fee; continental breakfast not included as part of package;soft mattresses. This didn't bother us too much though!

It is a great location and most of the staff was very friendly and nice, however, we did have some problems. We learned about ... the place on a promotion[...] [...] When we got there, we were told that we would be charged $20.00 extra per day for parking. When we said we had not been told about this they said it was on their web page. I HAD gone to their web page and had not seen it, so probably it is buried someone. Also our room was a partial ocean view, definately not a full ocean view. After the parking thing we did not bring it up until our last day. After some discussion they did upgrade us to a junior suite, full ocean view so that was nice. The only thing is that when I am on vacation I don't like to have to haggle and get surprises.

Wils Nov 28, 2009
When we were researching where to stay in San Diego, we did not even know where to start. We were not familiar with San ... Diego. We were overwhelmed by selection of hotels, locations, beaches and just all around confused as to what would suit our family. We wanted a great beach location, high quality hotel, nice views and just a sweet place for our San Diego trip. The problem was, all the pics on every hotel makes their hotel look like the bomb and you end up disappointed in location or amenities etc... This said... we hit the jackpot with the Pacific Terrace (an no I am not one of their employees). When we arrived they upgraded our non-view room reservation to a ocean front room for no charge. We loved it! It was an amazing view of the pool and ocean. It is right on the beach with a beach trail up the beach for miles. I loved the location! Anyway enough said. If you are looking for a great place to stay in San Diego, you found it with the Pacific Terrace.

Breathtaking view and spectacular suite!
QZCastillo Nov 18, 2009
We came here for our 1st year anniversary. For an extra $50 per nite we got upgraded to the executive suite. The front desk ... people were friendly and helpful. The only problem, throughout our stay, our fridge did not work at all. Called a few times to get fixed, but never got resolved. Overall the room made a great impression with the best view. We would have put a 5 star, but overall a 3 star at best.

Pacific Terrace, Great Location and Serv
Traveling Pair Oct 12, 2009
The hotel was great. Because we were traveling on our honeymoon, the concierge made sure that we had a nice room with a ... kitchen (we could've upgraded to an ocean view room for $50 a day, but opted not to do that). Guest services was wonderful and gave us really good restaurant recommendations. Because of the central location, at times there were loud neighbors and people out the window, but that comes with the central location.

This is the Best can't wait to return
chrisandlarrym Oct 2, 2009
It was such a pleasure to return, we've been vacationing in the San Diego area for over 18yrs, and have tried many different ... locations. This has always been the best," Location, staff, etc" There's nothing better than a walk, early morning on the boardwalk or beach: then breakfast: A day of sightseeing or just relaxing on the beach. Everything you'll need is within walking distance. The staff at Pacific Terrace is AAA, 5 diamond, and platinum level, nothing better: Everyone is so helpful, friendly and trying to make your stay so perfect. It's hard to single anyone out because given a chance they all would go out of their way to help a guest. The latest additions of hot breakfast, drinks at the pool, and room-service is fantastic. "keep up the changes" We have never seen so many smiling faces from a staff before as we did here. Sunsets are the best, everything comes to a halt on the boardwalk as we all stand and watch in awe as the sun slowly sets for the end of another day.

The best rate by far was the one we found on ORBITZ for the "ROH" run-of-house view. We then asked upon check-in how much more for a ocean front view?, and paid $50 to upgrade. We walked to the closest Pizza place (Amore's?)and picked up a yummy thin crust pizza to eat on our balcony... be sure to get the $3 coupon first from the nice crew at the front desk!
