We just went down for a small vacation and had a great time. Hotel was awesome and everything was walking distance. Would ... highly recommend for a vacation to relax and to have some fun!

Great fun. This is a place that has lots of weddings on the beach. Sat by the pool and watched a number of them. All types of ... other beach activities para sailing. Wind surfing boat tours. People having a good time all around. Music every evening at the outside bar made for great sunsets.

Perfect beach get-away. The pool deck with ready access to both the beautiful beach and fabulous beach bar/grill was where ... we spent most of our time. Wonderful place to bask in warm Florida sun and watch stunning sunsets. Bongos (the beach bar) was terrific -- with great frozen drinks served in the bar or by the pool. The daily entertainment in the bar was a nice surprise and the bluegrass combo that played on Sunday, October 25 was awesome. The staff at the hotel was very friendly -- from the front desk to the room cleaning staff to our favorite bar servers - [...] and [...]. Don't miss Spinners - the rooftop revolving restaurant with reasonable prices for a great meal and unique experience. Our fridge wasn't working when we arrived and within minutes we had a new fridge that was already cool! Also -- this place doesn't charge for extras like parking, resort fees, etc. It is all included in the room price. Will certainly go back when in St. Pete Beach!

My husband and I went there for our honeymoon. It was so perfect.. there are so many things to do and see. Sitting by the ... beach for a romantic night or getting a drink at Bongo Bongos..The locals are very nice and enjoyable to be around. We sat at the pool and the waitress would come and serve you, we felt so high class. At sundown we would sit by the beach and it was so remarkable, than head up to Bongo Bongos for a complimentry sundown shooter. We also love the view from Spinners, its a unbelieveable view and a great expierence. It just couldnt get any better. We traveled up to Treasure Island to VIP Lounge and Gators very excellent and Johns Pass, we definatly need more time next time. I heard the dolphin charters are great but we didnt get a chance to do it. We are planning on coming back next year for our first anniversary, and to make it a annual thing.

The trip was wonderful! Very relaxing and great weather. The majority of the staff were so outgoing. The staff at ... Spinner's Restaurant made us feel so welcome. The food was excellent but the wine selection was very limited. We didn't rent a car so we were limited to the area around the hotel which didn't include alot of things to do but we went for the relaxation. We will definitely go back soon.

we came to lay on the beach and that was great! We didn't know there would be weddings all weekend and the facilities packed! ... Slow elevators, safe did not work, crowds of people everywhere in the hotel. Staff was friendly and mostly helpful. More than likely won't stay again.

We liked the hotel and it was clean. The room description was a little misleading when it said there was a king and a ... double. There is, but the double is a pull-down bed that is very very hard. The king, however was very comfortable. Not a lot of room to set your personal items, especially in the bathroom. But the service is good and the staff is friendly enough. Loved the beach but the hotel didn't offer beach towels. Good restaurants in the area and shopping not far off. My daughter, 5, loved the pool!

We were traveling without kids to St.Pete from Nashville for a wedding. The Grand Plaza overall was fine. The pictures show ... it being a little more updated which in our case, I thought it needed some work. Our bathroom in our room was very, very small. We really spent alot of time on the beach & by the pool & out by Bongo Bongo's tiki bar (good drinks for the price, but also nice bartenders). Our last night there we decided we would have dinner at Spinners restaurant, the view was amazing! The complaints I have are 1. Poor service (alot of waiting to get small items & wait staff really not listening to what you are ordering) 2. Wrong order's (beverages & how prime rib was to be cooked) 3. Quality of the food, If I am going to spend $140, I want to eat just about everything on my plate. 4. Poor management service, we had a manager come to our table after she saw that we had been waiting on our server, we asked for our check (she never once asked how our meals were! My husband had eaten probably 5 bites out of his prime rib & I had eaten 1 pork slice out of 4 on my plate) Instead she brings our check & takes away our plates. In the end I would go back to Spinners & have drinks in the bar with the same great view just not revolving around the beach & find another great restaurant to spend by money!! Also the only place we found oystes were at Oyster Shuckers!!! & small bar across the street from Oyster Shuckers with a nice view & great drinks!

We arrived at this hotel early,but were checked in quickly. Staff was very friendly.We stayed on the fourth floor.Nice large ... room,parial ocean view,comfortable bed,very clean.Only complaint was that the balcony was very hot from aircondition unit and the exaust from the restaraunt below.Overall this was a Great Hotel and we would stay here again.

All of the staff were friendly and smiled and acknowledged us when coming in contact. Very relaxing atmosphere, we needed to ... de-stress on this vacation and we did just that! The bed in our room was so comfortable, we slept 10 hours one night! Beach bar was fun, live entertainment was great.

Perfect location on Gulf Blvd. Close to Grocery Store, Dunkin Donuts, hotel had live entertainment, restaurant(within and ... next door), CVS drugstore, jet ski and Para-sailing onsite. Good bang for the buck. I paid under $1100 for airfare, room and car for 4 days after Labor day from Connecticut to Tampa thru Orbitz.com

The rooms were all we needed. The beach is paradise. The staff very friendly especially the room attendants and the beach ... bar. The spinners resturant on top of hotel is beautiful. The view breath taking. Also beach weddings can happen any evening. Beautiful. WE LOVED IT and have been to alot of hotels.

I was looking for a peaceful time away for a vacation and time to relax and enjoy the beach, food, travel around within the 1 ... hours and visit other beaches...I found everything I was looking forward to. This time of the year it was quiet, peaceful even when there was plenty of people at the hotel. Beach was nice; staff at the hotel was very helpful and friendly. The Spinner Restaurant was a total amazing surprise. Hotel room was very clean and everything looks and smells clean. I liked it so much wanted to book again but it was full the following week. I enjoy my time out there. I will definitely go back.

Be sure to stop by the local chamber of commerce center, just a few blocks north of the hotel. They were able to give us great suggestions for local restaurants, sightseeing, shopping, etc. as well as discounted multi-pass tickets to Busch Gardens Tampa!
