We enjoyed our stay. We met our adult children for a birthday celebration. The hotel provided a good breakfast with a ... delightful hostess. Rooms were clean and restful.

Staff was friendly and helpful. facility was clean and quiet. We were there during a heat wave and the air conditioning was ... nearly useless... thank goodness for the on-shore. There are several fast food and full- service restaurants within walking distance. I would stay here again, but I wouldn't accept the same room, because of the air conditioner

A Good Stay

Nice hotel in a good location. We travelled all around the general area over the course of 7 days and used the hotel as a ... "base of operations." It was conveniently located for travels up and down the coast, as well as inland. The rates were reasonable and the accomodations as expected. Nothing outstandingly spectacular, but no notable drawbacks. The staff was pleasant, cordial, and quite helpful. The "happy hour" from 5-7 with free drinks and snacks was an added bonus when we were in the area at that time. All-in-all, quite a nice little hotel and location!

If you're into a bit of a drive north on 1 & 101, check out the Sea Shanty in Cayucos. Excellent food at a most reasonable price for the area. Seating is somewhat limited, but the food and service are great. Highly recommend the clam chowder!

THE UGLY

WE HAD BUSINESS,AND PLEASURE IN LOMPOC SO WE DECIDED TO BOOK A ROOM AT THE DAYS INN. THE ONLY AVAILABLE ROOM WITH A KING SIZE ... BED WAS A HANDICAP ROOM WITH A NO SMOKING RESTRICTION , WHICH WAS GREAT SINCE WE ARE BOTH NON SMOKERS.UPON ENTERING THE ROOM WE NOTICE A LARGE BURN HOLE IN THE BLACKET. THE ROOM WAS DINGY, THE RUG HAD A BAD ODOR AND DIRTY.THE SHOWER WAS OLD AND UGLY.THE WAS NO COUNTER TOP IN WHICH TO PLACE OUR ARTICLES. THE REFRIGATOR WAS OLD AND SEEN ITS BETTER DAYS.THE REFRIGATOR POWER CORD WAS CONNECTED TO A DANGLING POWER SURGE OUTLET. WE WERE EXTREMLY DISGUSTED WITH THE ROOM AND THE ODOR. WE DID COMPLAIN AND WERE SWITCHED TO A BETTER ROOM WITH TWIN BEDS.WE WERE HAPPY WITH THE SWITCH. EVEN IF WE WERE HANDICAP WE WOULD NOT HAVE STAYED IN THAT HORRIBLE UNPLEASANT ROOM. THE CONTINENTAL BREAKSFAST WAS JUST AS HORRIBLE AS THE HANDICAP ROOM. NO THANK YOU WE WILL NEVER STAY AT ANY DAYS INN EVER AGAIN.

Staff was very pleasant, was advised that we would have complimentary continential breakfast with was a added surprise. Had ... a variety of cereal, oatmeal, fruit and danishes. Room was basily an average but clean room, lots of pillow and very quiet. Well work the $$$$..will come back.

Pleasantly surprised with the accommodations. Unfortunately, there was a "gaggle" of French tourists at breakfast in the ... morning and Europeans think Americans are rude! One Frenchman gave one of the female staff a very difficult time. She handled it well.

A Comfortable Stay

This motel is set back from the street and therefore the cars couldn't be heard. I found the property to be very quiet and ... comfortable. The room was larger than normal, clean and well-furnished. The staff was very helpful and professional. Some people didn't write complimentary things about the breakfast but I found it to be more than sufficient. If you want a full buffet breakfast, go to Denny's. Parking was convenient and easy and it is an easy drive to any of the towns nearby: Solvang, Santa Maria or Buellton. The motel has several places to eat within walking distance. The rate seemed a bit high for Lompoc but then this was a Friday and the rate still beat comparable properties in Santa Maria, Solvang or Buellton. I would stay here again.
