Excellent choice

Great choice for the del mar, solana beach area. I booked the hotel thinking it was beach front but its got one block before ... the beach (takes about 5 minutes to walk around the condo club). I stayed in the king suite with a jacuzzi in the room, it was a little small for two but works :) The room was very big and very nice. Kitchenette makes it easy to bring your own snacks and drinks. TV's are nice and new (LG flatscreens)

we went to del mar horse racing. The motel provided a shuttle that was on time both ways.thanks. Breakfast buffet had alot of ... choices and was fast and good. enjoyed our stay and will go back next year.

Starting with check-in, the staff, housekeeping and management made every effort to make my stay seamless! Two computers with ... printers in the lobby made business documents easy to produce. Proximity to all the restaurants within a mile made for great dining choices from casual to gourmet. Easy walk to Del Mar Races when running and a short drive with ample paid public parking to the mile long Cardiff by the Sea public beach (with life guards) made the location perfect!

World Class clam chowder and an enthustic crowd at "The Brigantine" overlooking the Del Mar Races is a must do.

Very Pleasant Area.

On the map it didn't look great since its right next to a train track. But it was actually a very pleasant area, lots of ... restaurants within walking distance. The beach was down some very steep stairs, but otherwise not too far away (although no amenities at the beach). The hotel was comfortable, with the room being large enough for the 4 of us. Having a full fridge was definitely a plus, but there were no utensils or crockery. THe helpful staff were able to supply us with some disposable ones though.
