What a Wonderful Place to Stay
Urfune Oct 19, 2009
There are a lot of places that could take a lesson in courtesy from the fine staff at the Peninsula. The Hotel was not only ... stunningly beautiful and in the best possible location, the staff was there for your every need. They always made you feel like they wanted to be there "just for you." I emailed ahead to let them know it was our anniversary. They upgraded our room, put the requested champagne in the room and notified the restaurants everywhere we went that it was a special occasion. WoW! The concierge service ([...]) was amazing! He anticipated our every need. When we spilled coffee on the down comforter, I sheepishly called housekeeping who said, "no problem, we'll bring up a new one right away." Go there and be treated like royalty!

Absolutely lovely understated elegance
Malda Sep 9, 2009
We stayed at the Peninsula for the first time this Labor Day weekend. It was our 25th wedding anniversary and the hotel staff ... and management did a lot to make us feel welcome and to ensure we had a grand time. I think I now really understand the meaning of understated elegance. The hotel is intimate and provides every convenience one can think of. The staff is superb. The fitness center and spa are so lovely that it was sometimes a hard choice to actually go sightseeing. Returning to this centrally-located hotel at the end of each busy day felt like returning "home". The bed was the most comfortable we have ever slept in. Everything from check-in to check-out was first class!

BIG APPLE
MARTY Sep 6, 2009
Upon our arrival they did not have our reservations. After about 5 minutes of searching they found it. We gave them our ... confirmation immediately but it took awhile to find them. Our stay was stellar and the people who work there were very professional and quite pleasant. Would HIGHLY recommend staying there again. Very surprized that they did not have hair dryers in rooms!

First time in New York
traveller Aug 24, 2009
First time take vacation to New York. The staffs very nice, friendly, and helpful. There are two concerns: The central air ... is running too noisy at night. We were having difficult time before go to sleep. We though with a five stars hotel we will included a break fast and a little refrigerator but it did not.
