Clean & Comfortable

We've stayed at this Ramada several times before. It's a great value for us and the location is very close to family. We ... hopped on the freeway to get to Qualcomm stadium for a Charger game in fifteen minutes. We also drove a quick six miles south to shop at the upscale outlet mall near the border. We've been to many attractions all from this hotel. We wish they had a small refrig in the rooms.

We've stayed at this Ramada before and like it. It's small but clean, the price is great and they have a good free breakfast ... and a nice pool. We visited with family, were near shopping and freeway close to local attractions.

There's a good size mall just minutes away. This hotel is also close to a freeway that will take you to many San Diego attractions or to Mexico and points south.

A Ramada?
Catch22 Sep 7, 2009
Was a bit chilly. No heater in the room. To get a portable heater, you need a $25 deposit. Perhaps I'm getting old, but the ... name Ramada used to mean something a bit above the rest. Not. The room was right on the 805 freeway. Loud.

Buyer Beware!
Embarassed Travel Planner Aug 24, 2009
My friends and I booked a KING SUITE. We chose this hotel based on the pictures the website provided. THE PICTURES WERE NOT ... TAKEN AT THE SAME HOTEL. The room was small, small, small. I was actually embarassed since I was the one responsible for booking the hotel. I have never had this type of experience with other online services like this and you can rest assured I will never use ORBITZ again. I left a message with a Supervisor while I was still booked in my room and never even received the courtesy of a call back. NEVER AGAIN

Thid is a nice hotel, about 10 minutes from downtown San Diego. I-805 is right there. The zoo & Sea World are just a few ... minutes away. We like to stay at out of the way hotels, less noise, easier to get around but very accessable. I would recommend this hotel.

Print a map or take a gps unit. San Diego freeways arent the esiest to follow. But if you have the directions its very easy & fast to get to.

The staff was nice, the room was clean and Ramada feed us breakfast. ***Due to our car breaking down (AAMCO SUCKS!) and a ... rental car we had to get back it was a quick trip. We BOTH accidently left our computers in the room in a drawer. Two hours later we called and they were fetched from the room and both computers were there at the front desk waiting for us when we got there to pick them up. We will back.

Great Stay for a Simple Price
Vicki Jul 20, 2009
I was in San Diego to attened my son's graduation from MCRD (Marine Corp Recruit Depot). Being in Chula Vista I thought it ... would be awful to stay this far away, however I rented a car and the location to the freeway is fantastic, it does not take very long to get back and forth from San Diego to Chula Vista. The hotel is older and could use some work. I stayed in a smoking room and I do not smoke, however I did not notice any stale smoke smell. The room was very clean, the staff very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel and would stay there again. If you do not sleep well the freeway can be a bit noisy, however I do not have that problem so it was not an issue for me. They have a continental breakfast, it's very simple but you can absolutely have a nice breakfast and get full in doing so, it's not eggs or pancakes but it's nice and has fruit and cereal, coffee and juices, bagels, english muffins and so on. Burger King is next door, and there is a gas station a few feet away, and across the street is a convience store. Grocery stores and Wal-Mart is not far away. I stayed for 3 nights and had a great experience. There is also a public transportation system nearby, but I rented a car so I didn't get to try that. Great stay, helpful staff, clean room, again it's an older hotel and could use some updating but I had no problems at all.
