Cleaning staff did not clean take care of my room the next morning. Because you go through a 3rd party to book the room ... normal things like use of the pool, gym, and lounge are not complimentary to you. You have to pay more for them. Then the gym and pool belong to the YMCA so you can only go during the time the YMCA is open. So even if I did pay the extra for it check-in is at 3pm pool closed at 4pm. Oh and parking $18 self $25 Valet.

Good for the money
Mike Jan 4, 2010
For a Hilton hotel, this one was mediocre. But that means that overall, it was still a good hotel and I'd recommend it. It's ... just that the room was in need of some work. For example the toilet seat was unhinged on one side, and the wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling off of the wall, several inches above the floorboard. That said, the room was still very clean. The location in uptown is superb. Everything you'd care to walk to downtown is within a few blocks. It's also connected to a light rail station. For the $100/night pricetag, it was a great deal.

Friendly Staff, Fine Service

Throughout my four day stay at this Hilton I was continually impressed by the friendly and helpful staff. Hard to have a bad ... day when surrounded by the cheery employees at this hotel. In addition, the rooms were clean and comfortable, the room-service menu was first-rate, and the Hilton is well-situated in downtown Charlotte.

There a nice spot called EPICENTER where you can go Bar Hopping and its very friendly atmospher...I had a great time
--Michael from California, San Jose, CA Aug 27, 2009
The Epicenter is truly ground zero for nightlife in Charlotte. Super short walking distance and many, many establishments to choose from. I was impressed.
--Road Warrior Gary, Cherokee, NC Jun 24, 2009
Walked to dinner a couple blocks away, and Belk theatre is about 3 blocks. Shops, bars, and restaurants all around. Didn't even touch the car while we stayed.

a child across the hall screamed all night long.....not the hotel's fault but it would be nice if they put families on a ... floor by themselves. Charged us for parking and did not tell us about it, but we got it taken off. The gym was not open and the dining room was closed except for breakfast.

Very, very nice!
Road Warrior Gary Jun 24, 2009
This hotel is in an excellent location. You are within walking distance to ALL things Charlotte...Bobcats Arena, Panther ... Stadium, The Epicenter, and the Covention Center. I was never too far away from anything. The room, itself, was extremely nice and well kept. No complaints at all. Nice adjoining gym at the Y, but the only thing I would ask there, would be a reduced fee for day passes. Beyond that, I had a great stay. Much thanks, Orbitz and the Charlotte Center.

Truly top notch Hilton
Daniel Jun 16, 2009
Beautiful hotel and rooms. Perfect location and friendly staff. Some outside renovations took away from the charm, but will ... look great when finished. Only gripe was the bar closed earlier then listed, but bartender offered a 2 for 1 drink to make up for it.

Very Nice Hotel
George B. Mar 3, 2009
We were very pleased with our stay at the Hilton Charlotte Center City. The room was very comfortable and clean. The staff ... was great. The only complaint I have is that after the restaurant closes you have to go the front desk for a soda. I wanted a diet soda and was told they did not have diet soda. Maybe Hilton should have some on hand, some people are Diabetic. I know this sounds petty. Other than this incident, we had a great time at the Hilton.

Hilton Charlotte Center City Hotel is in a great location in downtown Charlotte. The staff was very helpful and friendly in ... navigating us around town. We loved our room. My husband especially enjoyed the flat screen television! The room was very clean and comfortable. We were in Charlotte for a wedding and the bathroom accomodated us so we weren't crowded trying to get ready.

Very close to New Horizen Park where the NC Panthers play. We are planning to stay here the next time we go to a game.
