For One Night it was Fine

Easy Check-in, room had handicapped bathroom, which was fine, but short on shelving in shower. Didn't take advantage of ... complimentary breakfast.

Simple and Affordable

This was my second time staying at the Days Inn in Camarillo. I arrived late from taking care of business that day. The ... gentleman at the front desk was very friendly. Even extended a compliment. As a single traveler, that evening, I requested an upstairs room and close to the main office and he honored my request. A good safety feature in this room and I hope all others is the light sensor. When you walk in, a light comes on in the vanity area near the restroom. The room is lit up before you go to far in the dark. But it was a huge room with plenty of space. I have a hard time getting a good nights sleep on most hotel beds, but this king bed was very comfortable and the pillows(5)of them, were awesome. I had great support for my head and neck. I threw mine to the floor :) That's the best 3 nights sleep I've had in a long time and being by a freeway, I was worried a bit about the noise, but there was none and I'm a lite sleeper. That was a BIG plus for me. The microwave oven and the small fridge was nice to have. The room was clean and comfortable. The only drawback was the large watermark and a huge patch of something, looked like 'spackle' you fill holes with, that should have been smoothed out up on the ceiling near the front door. But, for the price, my stay was simple and affordable and I would stay there again.

Nice but...

This hotel is very nice and I would recommend it for anyone needing a clean, cheap place to stay...but, the front desk clerks ... (I met three over the course of two days) were a bit unfriendly and kind of a drag to deal with. A shame really, since the hotel seems well run and new attitudes are free. :-)

Yolanda Mexican Food and Bandits BBQ. Both were outstanding with great food and service at a resonable price. Yolanda's was walking distance and Bandits was about a 5 minute drive.

Friendly Staff in a nice but older motel in a great location to walk for meals and entertainment. Does need better attention ... to cleaning details, repairs do not look professional. Could definitely use an updating

Quiet, clean, refreshed!

Great experience! Went to Oxnard State beach, relaxed, and saw dolphins during the a.m. hrs. The oulets were across the way ... for shopping. Can walk to great places to eat. Decent complimentry breakfast. Starbucks in walking distance. Never knew I was near a highway once in the room. I didn't like the construction in the pool area, but it appears that the motel will be that much better next time I stay.

Convenient place to stay

This hotel was a convenient, reasonably-priced place to stay while we spent a weekend shopping at the Camarillo Outlet Mall. ... It was easy to get to from the 101 Freeway, and there were plenty of fast food and chain restaurants nearby. The room was spacious and clean and the front desk staff were helpful. The complimentary continental breakfast was forgetable, and just included two kinds of sugary cereals, a few types of breads and muffins, fruit, and beverages.

Skip the skimpy breakfast at the hotel and walk to the nearby Marie Calendars to eat.

I was really uncertain when I made the reservation online. We had a really bad experience with a reservation we made at a ... hotel near Disneyland. The pictures online showed a really nice hotel and it was a dump.

The Days Inn at Camarillo was a disappointment to me and my wife. It could have been just the room we were assigned, but ... the room was in need of a good paint job. Whoever painted it last painted up on to the piping and fixtures. The tile in the bathroom had the grout coming out and they used silicon liberally in a broad swath around the tub and doorway in the bathroom. There was a small hole in the wall next to the bed. Whoever painted the trim left it where it did not cover properly. We would rate it a 1.5.

It's one of the less expensive hotels in the area so you can't expect a whole lot. The bathroom needs updating and the water ... pressure and temp was uneven. The room was a good size the bed was confortable. It was nice having Marie Callendars next store. Located close to the outlets.

Continental breakfast is provided, but the Egg and Things Restaurant around the corner is not to be missed for breakfast or lunch. There are many other choices for meals and snacks in walking distance. The outlet mall has wonderful bargains!

This hotel was fine for what I needed. It was just a short overnite stay. It was close to the meeting I had to attend in ... Camarillo. Rooms were comfortable, restaurants nearby. Iwould stay there again.

The staff was very helpful, especially after we checked out. My daughter realized she had brought a school note book into ... the room and forgot it. When we realized this we called the hotel, and they immediately checked the room, found it, and held it at the desk until we could pick it up. Even later, my wife discovered she was missing a pair of shoes, which the staff tracked down, laundered (tennis shoes) and are holding it at the front desk for us.
