Fuzzy Nov 18, 2009
Hotel location is right next to the freeway, so very easy to find, but some rooms could be noisy as a result of this. Ours ... wasn't too bad. Overall it was a good value for the money (2 queen beds for under $60), but certainly nothing fancy. I would have appreciated a coffee maker in the room. It's located directly next to the outlet mall...so, if you're there to shop....or are into shopping.... Staff was friendly. Overall: nothing special, but no complaints either.

Clean and cheap place, but right by the highway and super noisy. The staff was not impolite but appeared to have adopted a ... customer service approach from the registry of motor vehicles. Check in and check out were mechanistic and impersonal...so easily fixed! Also, no free internet, and no microwave or fridge...you might try one of the other motels nearby.

Disability Accessible Room
Rev Giggles Nov 8, 2009
The room was comfortable and I slept very well both nights. The staff put my other guest in a room just two doors from mine ... which was convenient. The ADA room has a refrigerator, microwave and a huge roll in shower which I thought was good. You can keep your meds cool in the fridge while you stay. There were a lot of television channels and the TV was nice and had remote controls for easy access. The continental breakfast was very limited... just mini-muffins, pastry, coffee and orange juice. One drawback is both rooms had unclean carpeting, but the other things were as clean as could be expected for the age of the motel. I was happy with my room.

Bad Place to Stay
spectowolfy Oct 14, 2009
The first room they gave us was disgusting! This room is the kind of room that is rented by the hour! It reeked of stale ... cigarette smoke, was dark, damp, and danky. There was black mold embedded in the carpet, which looked like it was recycled from the late 1960s. So we requested another room, and we were given one on the second floor. This room looked like the one shown on the[...] webpage. But the door had a large dent in which looked like the police recently raided the room. When we entered the room, there was a maintenance note that was left on the bed wrapped with a handle to turn on the shower, stating that it needed to be replaced. So the housekeeper came in without notice in our room and told us that the man would work on it soon. We called down to the front desk and told them about the missing faucet and they said the man would work on it right away. We left and when we came back to the room it was fixed, but we noticed that there was a straight pin strategically embedded in the carpet by the bathroom door that had what appeared to be a blood stain on it. At this point, we just pulled it out and threw it in the trash can. The bathroom now had a fish odor and we concluded that the maintenance man must have had the smell on his shoes. Also, the room was covered in dust and there was no pen to write with. This location where the hotel is seemed to be in a shady part of town. We couldn't park directly in front of the room as there was no parking, so we parked around the corner. The furniture was beaten up and scratched on the side and bottom by the television and drawers. The shower level spewed water down into the tub and wouldn't entirely disperse through the shower head. The water pressure fluctuated hot and oold. When we turned on the air conditioner, a mold odor dispersed out of the vents. When we turned the heater on, this also happened. It gets better though. Around 10 pm we were soundly asleep, when we were abruptly awoken by the shrieking fire alarm, which sounded for a few minutes. We almost had heart attacks being startled like this. We called down to the front desk after the alarm finally stopped and asked if this would happen again. He said that a sprinkler broke and this is what happens but it won't happen again. We were so rattled that we couldn't sleep. We only got about 4 hours of sleep total that night, especially with the loud freeway noise that was constant. It still gets better. We were sitting on the bed in the morning when a grey mouse shot out from underneath the bed and ran into my foot before hiding behind the television set. It ran back to the bed, by the desk and under the bed again. We looked under the bed, which appeared to be shredded, probably for this critter's nest and couldn't shoo it out. On a positive note, the staff is friendly, when we told the clerk about the incident she apologized and said that worms sometimes come into the rooms along with the mice and told us that we could use a 25% off coupon for a room purchase in the future, that their prices were a few dollars cheaper than [...]. The pool and spa looked decent, but we did not use them. The lobby is decent and decorated festively. But we will not stay here again. We haven't experienced anything like this place, which we call the Bad Night Inn.

Extremely rude front desk!
Disapointed Traveler Sep 19, 2009
I rented two rooms for a family member and his family. When I paid for the room through Orbitz I put both rooms under this ... family member's name. The day prior to the reservation I went to the hotel to reconfirm the reservations in person. First they could only find one reservation and told me that I would need to pay for a new room despite me having the paperwork saying I paid for two rooms. We finally found the other reservation which was under my name although it should have been under my family member. They told me that I would have to come in at 2pm the next day to check my family member in, that they would not let him, no matter what. This was not going to be possible since I was going to be at my own wedding!!! They did not care and were very rude. I ended up having to call Orbitz twice, once that night and then again the following morning. Orbitz called that evening and called me back saying that the person they talked to was extrememly rude and would not work with them. Orbitz said they would call again in the morning when a new person would most likely be working at the hotel. Orbitz did call again and the problem was fixed. My family member was able to check into both rooms without me being present. I have stayed at this hotel before and thought for the price it was ok. After this incident there is no way I would ever stay at this hotel, nor would I recomend it to anyone! Do not stay here. There are several hotels nearby for just a little bit more money, believe me it is worth the money to stay somewhere else! There is a hotel 2 miles away on Ventura Blvd that is newly remodeled. I had 50 family members stay there for my wedding and they all loved it. Rent a room up the road!
