This place is a rip off
Ripped Off Oct 26, 2009
I was forced to pay for the hotel room in advance realizing I could lose one night's payment should I have to cancel. Well, ... the appointment I was supposed to attend was cancelled that day. I immediately cancelled my reservations, but instead of keeping one night's room charge, they kept all (3) nights. This is a first and I will never do this again. [...] should ban this rip off hotel from it's site, since it gives them a bad name also !! BEWARE !! They actually rate a ZERO

Ummmm...well I need to sleep somewhere
horsemama Oct 21, 2009
I have been staying at the Goodnight on Tuesday nights since I work in Salinas Wednesday and pay for the room myself. The ... rooms are very cheap. That being said they are only functional. There is a lot of wear and tear in the rooms and much deferred repair. The neighborhood is not a great one and it is good to stay on campus or better in your room. Very rowdy drunks some nights, very sketchy characters around the pool. That all being said the front desk staff are extremely nice and helpful. One front desker mapquested my destination, taped it to my room door and called to let me know it was there. It is clean. I stay there because it is cheap, clean and the staff takes care of me. For vacation travelers, those with kids, or folk with a per diem, head to a well known hotel.

Decent stay for a decent price
ALMS fan Oct 15, 2009
I've stayed here before and it was ok so I chose this hotel again. This time I was able to get internet access in my room ... which was great. The price was cheap for a 24 hour period, although not free. Parking seems a bit cramped when it's late at night. The bathroom looked a bit worn. The last night, there was a strange urine smell coming from the window heating unit. Turned out an animal or something urinated right under the unit outside. Forgot to mention it to the hotel since it was late and our last night. The price and location close to the freeway and other stuff in town can hardly be beat.

Nice location, easy access off highway 101. Stayed for 5 days and had to ask for room to be cleaned & new towels on 3 ... days..Did they forget I was there? Nice staff, but not helpful with directions. Nice big parking lot and pool looked clean. Hotel in industrial park, but it was not noisy.. Rooms do need to be updated though..

My expieriance at good nite Inn was somewhat pleasent after it took about an hour to check in. Apperently, their was some ... miss comunication between Orbitz and the hotel. I decided to use Orbitz to find the chepest rates around the coast which lead me to Good nite Inn. After BOOKING and PAYING for my room a month prior, I go to check in and their was no sign of my reservation. Two other guests there had the same issue. I recommend that you call the hotel with competetive prices, like Orbitz, but book your reservation through the hotel to make sure they are prepared for your arrival.

We asked for a non-smoking room, got a smoking room. We did NOT ask for the ants. When I informed the morning staff person ... she asked me if I wanted her to call maintenance after we left! Wi-Fi available, but at a charge. The continental breakfast was sadly lacking. No milk, cereal, decaff or choice of juice. Muffins or danish. That was it.

We were disappointed with the room, it's dusty and floor is filthy. When we open the faucets, initially the water was like ... rusty color. Bathroom smells like cat litter. I wasn't able to sleep because there is no safety lock, it was broken.
