Unbeatable location for the price

Maybe because of a close location of our room to the elevator it was somehow noise during night and early morning. Also a ... breakfast room was a little bit crowded but well supplied. The staff was very professional and helpful. We had a great time.

Perfect location! 1 block to subway. Street busy during the day, very quiet at night. Lots of wholesale ... florists/handbags/scarfs/etc. in the neighborhood. Most of the handbags, etc. are the knock-offs. Walk 1-2 blocks and there's a Starbucks, McDonalds, various neighborhood restaurants. Hotel staff was VERY friendly! Only issue was that we were on the 12th floor and the elevator is the only one to the top floors which means it can sit on a floor for a while because of housekeeping, etc.

This hotel was about what we expected. Reasonable rates, the location was OK, but not really much around. Walking distance ... from Penn Station was nice. Close subway access. The staff members were pleasant and helpful. Good concierge. Clean rooms. The breakfast was pretty ordinary and the very small breakfast room was overcrowded and stifling hot.

Rooftop lounge at 230 5th Avenue, just around the corner is fantastic.

Cali mom Oct 6, 2009
The staff was friendly the hotel location is in the middle of a lot of small business, the sheets were stained so I asked ... them to change them. The bell boy came up, apparently they dont have maid service at night. He was very polite but weird to have a bell boy making your bed. The room was fine otherwise just made you wonder how often they actually change linens he mentioned he had to go to storage to get new ones.

nice room, great location
Lauri Sep 20, 2009
This hotel was in a great location. It is near the Daryl Roth Theatre, where we saw Fuerza Bruta for my boyfriend's ... birthday. We also had dinner nearby with friends before the show. Our room was a good size and had a sitting area with a couch and table with chairs, which was perfect for when we stopped at our room with our friends after dinner and before the show. The rooms were clean. We ordered room service for breakfast the next morning and our food got there quickly. Overall, I think this hotel was a good choice.

Good hotel - worth the stay
Sleeping in Seattle Sep 16, 2009
This hotel fit nicely in with our expectations - nice but not overly expensive. We had a 9th floor room on the corner with a ... view of the Empire State building. The room was clean and the beds were comfy. The TV was a little glitchy, but we weren't there to watch TV. They have baggage storage so you can check out, leave your bags and go hit the city for the rest of the day. It's definitely a small boutique hotel, but I'd totally recommend staying there again.
Traveler type: Couples
The hotel is a little off the beaten path in Chelsea, but only a block from the R/W line at the 28th St stop. Walking distance from Penn station (10-15 min) which is about a $12 cab ride with all the traffic. Don't assume the cab will know the hotel - ours wanted to take us to the Crowne Plaza so be sure you know where you are going. Drug store, coffee shops and food were all within a block walk.

cityshopper Aug 6, 2009
We asked for two queens beds, which was written up as one of the options for the larger rooms. When we arrived, we found two ... double-sized beds and a fairly small room. The location was close enough for us to walk to restaurants and theaters (20 minutes) and to access easy shopping along Fifth Ave. Clean rooms, spacious bathroom, and a decent continental breakfast.

There was nothing we didn't like about this hotel. We will definitely be staying there every time we go to Manhattan. This ... hotel/room was better than any I've stayed in outside an all-inclusive resort! Doormen, front desk staff, cleaning staff all treated us like family. I had a very pleasant conversation on our last day there with a housekeeper in the elevator on the way down to the compimentary continental breakfast. Value far exceeded anything else I've experienced in NYC!

The Broadway Plaza is in a great location, close to the Subway and Major Bus routes. We started out going to the Empire ... State Observatory to get a prospective on the entire city. This was very helpful. Then we took in the major sites in the city. We were there for nine days and it was enough time to enjoy the city, the shows and the museums. What a great city.

Be Prepared to Sleep With The Lights On
John Mar 23, 2009
My wife and I had always wanted to go to New York. We studied this hotel and thought it would meet our needs. It was so ... close to things that it made our trip easy. HOWEVER, we could not sleep at night because RATS would crawl on the ceiling at night. We HAD TO SLEEP WITH THE LIGHTS ON IN ORDER TO CONTROL THE RATS!
