It's an older hotel, but they are really trying to improve the property. Our room was pretty clean and very large. The pool ... was REALLY nice. Much nicer than the Marriott we stayed at the previous night. Super location if you are flying in/out of Long Beach. Would definately stay there again. Super nice staff too!!! Cheap at $60/night

it was uneventful. I was on foot and the bus stops were nearby, which was good. had business to take care of, so mostly ... just slept and wasn't there much. the lobby was under construction, so i think the check-in would have been better once that's done. the breakfast buffet was a little weak, just waffles, bananas, toast and cheerios.

Is about as nice as a motel 6.

I was disappointed when we walked into our room. The bath room is very small, bed was uncomfortable and the air conditioner ... was located in the bathroom area so the room really did not get cold just the bathroom did. Needless to say when you got out of the shower you froze! When we requested the shuttle it never came so we ended up driving out self. Could of stayed at motel 6.

Don't take the tour of the stars homes. You mostly saw locked gates and trees. Plus you never know if your really seeing someone famous house. Definitly upgrade to a converible. We got a mustang, it made us not mind the long drives and traffic at all. With the money we saved on orbits we could not only afford it but still saved $100.

perfect for cruise and Park
Paradise Cruiser Sep 9, 2009
I found out about this Hotel on the Internet, A women wrote about a nice place to stay where you can park your car and get a ... free shuttle to the carnival cruise port. So I decided to give it a try. When my two sons and I arrived we decided to check out the pool location first, We were able to view some of the rooms that the maids were cleaning. We all decided we like 120 which was on the lower level right infront of the pool. When we asked for that room we had no problem getting what we wanted. The staff was so nice. So I then ask about parking at the Hotel while we were on our cruise and about the shuttle. Just as I had heard it was not problem. The room was nice and clean and they even offer a waffle breakfast. For the room and everything encluded cost less than I would have paid for parking at the Port. When we got back to Long Beach I called the Hotel for a shuttle ride and was picked up within 30 Minutes. I highly recommend staying here.

Guest House Hotel Long Beach
Visitor Sep 5, 2009
Guest House was located really far from the typical tourist hot spots; however, they were able to provide shuttle service ... within a 5 mile radius. With this, it mad commuting around LA much more easier (using the bus and the metro blue line). Additionally lighting in the room was insufficient and there was lack of foods at and around the hotel. Mad it difficult to eat regularly Front desk are very professional and were able to hand my situations well.

Guest House = Trash House - NEVER AGAIN
Joy Aug 26, 2009
I will never stay at this hotel or the hotel chain again. Extremely rude staff, dirty rooms, undercover police officers ... indicating deliquency potential drug use in area, felt un-safe despite security, security made you feel unsafe, the list can go on. No WIFI as advertised.

Although we did'nt spend alot of time there,we started each day at there awsome breakfast buffet. This was way more than ... standard continital. with a waffle maker, cressants, fresh fruit, bagels, coffee, juice, muffins. Then we'd get back late and wind up the night in thier relaxing spa tub. I would definity stay there again.

We really enjoyed staying at the Guest House Hotel Long Beach. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We also appreciated ... the convenience of the shuttle service provided by the hotel. We also enjoyed the nice swimming pool. Great location for those going on a cruise out of Long Beach port terminal. We would highly recommend this hotel.

Laura Oct 31, 2008
The Guest house hotel was comfortable and nicely furnished, it even had a recliner. What I didn't like was the fact that the ... air conditioner was located between the bathroom and dressing area. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The hotel was clean and safe and they had a nice continental breakfast buffet. It was very close to California State University Long Beach and the 405 freeway. Also check out isn't until 12:00 pm

Guest house was not very accommodating. We arrived a little sooner than we anticipated and was told to come back to check ... in, which of course we couldn't do because we are from out of town, so we hung out for three hours before they took us in. Once checked in, we go to our room, which was very filthy and obviously not ready to be occupied. We were transferred to another room, but the floors were wet. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

My review of Guest House Hotel Long Beach
Candice Aug 2, 2007
This hotel was not at all what I expected. The overall appearance of the hotel was poor, paint chipping, stains on carpets ... and dirty tables on the patio. The breakfast bar always needed cleaning and they were out of coffee every time I went. Room towels were very thin and stained. Lobby personnel were unfriendly and never smiled.
