unbeatable location for the price

We were there on a layover from Maui to Philadelphia. The free hot breakfasts were fantastic. Missed the free manager's ... reception but I heard it is great. They have a lovely walkway along the San Francisco Bay that goes on forever and is very picturesque. We got a two room suite that had a large living room with big screen t.v. as well as the bedroom with a king bed big screen t.v. and another phone. We had a beautiful view of San Francisco Bay. I would certainly recommend this place.

It was the perfect location with a beautiful oceanfront view. The cook to order breakfast is the best along with the pool, ... fintess center, bar, free drinks during happy hour, and computer room!

Kincaids is a short walk and great if the weather is nice and you can sit outside. If you go between 4-6 pm, the appetizers are 1/2 price.

We spent the night at the Embassy Suites in Burlingame the night before traveling to Half Moon Bay for the Pumpkin ... Festival. What a great location. A long bike path along the water was great for a nice walk. Great restaurants along the way for a glass of wine and good conversation. The room was quite, comfortable, and checkout a breeze. We enjoy Embassy Suites so much.

Closer To Holiday Inn Than a 4-Star

While (in all fairness) this may not be a typical experience, my 1st room had a bleach smell that caused me to change ... rooms. The 2nd room was quite noisy due to its location and a wind storm outside at the time - definitely wouldn't have been able to sleep that night. The 3rd room I changed into was on the same side of the hotel - same issue. The 4th room on the other side of the hotel had no surprises though could have been cleaner. The front desk staff were pleasant and accommodating. Also, it's nice to have a complimentary breakfast as part of my accommodation, however, I found the quality of the pastries including bagels to be sub-par... The coffee was good... And again, the staff was accommodating. Bottom Line: In my opinion, this was just not an experience that qualifies for a 4 stars rating.

The hotel was visually entertaining, rooms extremely comfortable, and the staff and breakfast/ happy hour extremely ... accommodating. The hotel was a wonderful backdrop and home base for our mini vacation in the bay area.

good hotel near airport

We needed to stay near the airport for an 8:30 AM flight. This hotel was excellent for our purposes. It was a short drive to ... the airport, right next to the bay with a paved exercise path and a great view. It had flight information and computers to print boarding passes and free internet in the lobby. It is lovely inside with comfortable rooms, a plant filled atrium and good coffee. Drawbacks were charges for parking and for internet in the room. There is full breakfast included, but they don't serve before 7 AM. Also I would not recommend it for visiting the city as it is at least 30 minutes by car.

I found the staff to be friendly and accomodating. The beds were comfortable and nice to sleep in. The airport shuttle was ... convenient, but make sure you get on the correct one (from the airport). There are two or more Embassy Suites in the San Francisco area. If you will be getting in late, plan on room service or find food before getting to the hotel. Overall, a nice stay!

The Embassy Suites San Francisco Airport Burlingame is an excellent location for those doing business in the south San ... Francisco area. It is extremely convenient to San Francisco International airport via shuttles that depart every 20 minutes. The rooms are suites with plenty of room in which to do business, or relax and have privacy. The hotel shuttle route also stops at the BART (subway) station at San Francisco Airport, which will put travelers in the heart of San Francisco within 30 minutes.

The Embassy Suites offers a great option for families. The suite aspect with separate bedroom is great. The fact that you ... only have one bathroom and have to access thru the bedroom lessens the plus. The room had torn cushions on the couch. The maintenance people were pleasant and the room appeared clean but in need of maintenance. The attitude of the hotel staff was inconsistent; some were very pleasant, some were not. They certainly did not go out of their way to extend themselves if you appeared to need or want assistance. i.e. is there something I can help you with The on-site restaurant offered a great menu but the night we went were extremely short staffed which does distract from your meal. The cooked to order breakfast is a great feature. the business center had one working computer, which was woefully inadequate, however they did have 2 additional outside the room that you could stand and use which was a plus. The in room internet feature did not work properly; it took several calls b/4 someone told us that and we were still charged for the service. We had to remind them rather strenuously about it not working before we were credited. The location worked great for us. There was malls in close proximity. Easy to get to San Fran and the airport. I don't think you should rent a room with torn cushions and the staff needs to be reminded they should seek to make each guest's experience a pleasant and comfortable one.

Loved the cook-to-order breakfast and nightly managers reception in the atrium filled with towering tropical plants, trees, ... waterfalls and koi-filled stream. Room decor and amenities classy. If The tourist attractions of San Francisco hadn't beckoned, there would have been no reason to leave the site. Huge pool and two spas, again with a tropical setting. Few minutes drive to San Fran airport and shopping with a small-town feel. Short drive to tourist attractions and divine restaurants.
