Ramada Peoria feedback
California Visitor Nov 10, 2009
Had to request wash cloths for every single day we stayed there. Had repeated trouble with key cards for the rooms and ... exterior doors. Desk staff was helpful to resolve issues. Continental breakfast was adequate. Very close to train tracks, but that was only an issue early one of the mornings out of a five-day stay. Electrical outlets would not hold cords tightly. Desk lamp bulb was burnt out and it took two days to get it replaced.

We enjoyed a very clean and heated outdoor pool, loved the complimentary continental breakfast (especially the make-your-own ... waffles!) The staff were especially friendly, the rooms well-kept, and we never felt pressured or bothered in any way by housekeeping wanting us to let them in, which I've had issues with before. Although I expected a larger building just because of the name "Convention Center," and although there weren't any good restaurant areas within walking distance (we didn't get a chance to try out the sports bar inside the hotel), the location otherwise was perfect for us, as we were watching baseball at the various local Spring Training facilities (Surprise, Peoria, Phoenix), and access to the freeway(s) was very convenient.

If you take Grand Ave south to Peoria/87th, then cross over the RR tracks, then turn left onto 83rd, you'll find an excellent selection of restaurants about 4-5 miles East, directly across from the Mariners/Padres Spring Training facility, right at 83rd and Stadium Way.

Old hotel
Robb Oct 15, 2009
The hotel has been around since at least the 1970's. The location worked well for us as we were visiting family in Surprise, ... just up the highway. It's located 5 minutes from restaurants, the Peoria sports complex, and the Arrowhead mall It's located across the highway from railroad tracks that might bother some people. We did not hear the train because we had the A/C fan on most of the time. We did not spend much time in the room. We just slept and cleaned up there. The hotel was clean. The room was clean The bed was very comfortable. My wife liked it and she's very picky about mattress comfort. The continental breakfast was nice. People were helpful and nice. We would stay there again. It was a low priced hotel that met our needs. It is NOT a resort. IT's just a hotel! So if you want more than that, well keep looking. There is no restaurant on site.

Good, but not necessarily great!
FIZBO Oct 9, 2009
My room was clean and functional. The location and price were good for my needs. I didn't have a wash rag one day, but the ... next day they left two! I was disappointed with the refrigerator. I purchased four apples, two limes and four light yogurt's for snacks and lunches. They all froze and I lost about $8 worth of food! Not happy about that. The pool looked nice, but I couldn't use it, due to my schedule. This is an older property and so it isn't as up to date as newer hotels, but it worked well for my purposes.

We were in town to visit family and was pleased with hotel stay. Glendale location was right on major road, not hard to find. ... Away from inner city but still close to food, events, etc. The attached sports bar restaurant was a nice additon for a night cap and Sunday afternoon football fanatic. Rooms were clean, staff was helpful, pool was cool. It is in line with other Ramada standards. Not the most luxurious in town but not the most expensive either.

Ramada Peoria
crysart Aug 29, 2009
The location is right off the highway, but feels like it is at the edge of town. We got a discount through Orbitz for this ... stay, and it's the cheapest Ramada in the Phoenix area probably because of the location. The patio room is nice because it opens up into the courtyard and can walk a few steps to the pool. Most of the fitness equipment is broken though. Overall, it's a decent place to stay for an economical trip, and its clean and neat.

Barbie Jun 9, 2009
The hotel was very gracious, helpful, willing to fix things that were wrong. We mostly were there for a place to go after ... our conference at the Wigwam Resort. It was very convient and easy to get to from or home, and to get to and from our conference. Being near the freeway was so nice! It was nice and quiet and adiquit for the price, plus it was just what we needed for a great price.

Cheap Hotel
Road Warrior Hank Jun 7, 2009
Hotel was OK for the money, but I wouldn't go back. The location is bad - no restaurants nearby. The bar/restaurant closed ... at 6:30 pm Sunday - Thursday, so you were out of luck if you worked later. There are a few fast food locations, but they're about a mile away. The whole place needs a renovation, especially the bathrooms and carpeting. However, the bed and linens were very nice and acceptable.

Very good experience. Reasonably priced. Bed very comfortable. Pool area nice. Would like a heated pool. Breakfast good, ... but would have liked cheerios or other such cereals. All of the ones there had sugar. A little more variety. Waffles every day got to be to much.

It was our first time staying in a hotel with the family. The place was nice the caffeteria workers were great and nice. The ... only thing I din't like was that we had requested a pool view. We did but we had a tree infont of the window and we cond't see the pool. But the rest was great.

Cake Lady Mar 3, 2009
Although good value for the money the rooms are getting pretty run down. While the breakfast was good and the server very ... friendly and helpful, I don't think the table clothes were changed very often. The same stains, appeared in the same place on the same table daily. It would be more sanitary to have no tablecloths.

Lot of bang for your buck at Ramada
Susan Oct 19, 2008
First time staying at a Ramada and will definitely do again. We chose this hotel for our 3 night stay because of it's close ... proximity to the Rio Vista Skate Park where the Volcom skateboarding championships were held. There were a lot of other skateboarding families from across the US and overseas who were there as well. The room was large, clean, had everything we needed including a nice bathroom. The bed was super comfy, parking easy, staff wonderful and helpful. Free breakfast, nice pool, restaurant had a pool table, the hotel lobby had a computer we could use, nice fitness center. The Ramada really added a nice touch to a fun weekend in the Phoenix area. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and our next trip!!

Horrible
Alice Jul 30, 2007
The hotel was under renovation. The pool was not open. The power outlets in the room did not work and after complaining to ... management, we were told there was no one on staff to make repairs. Since this was the second room we in after complaining about the air-conditioning in the first room we opted not to move to a third room as we were afraid it would be worse. The big joke is that the renovated areas were as bad as the un-renovated areas.

Basic Budget
April Jul 29, 2007
The girl who checked us in was grumpy, our first room had a broken air conditioner (not good in Arizona) and they moved us to ... another room at our request. The second room had a broken outlet by the bed, so I coudn't read and the alarm clock did not work. When we were there the lobby was under construction. Hotel is across the street from railroad tracks. The room was clean and the breakfast buffet wasn't bad, but that's about it. It is very convenient to access the 101 loop from the hotel.
Traveler type: Family
If you get onto the 101 Loop from the hotel heading North, there are several large dining hubs within 2 exits. Each one has at least 10 restaurants such as Italian, Mexican, Steakhouse, etc.
