Not worth the money
Mark Aug 30, 2009
The location wasn't too bad, off the interstate heading towards Sacremento or Oakland. It was close enough to visit Napa in a ... few minutes. For the price paid we only had a single bed in a small room with quite a bit of noise in the morning. Other hotels on our trip were not only cheaper but bigger and better. Hotel front desk was nice and the breakfast was slightly less than average for a continental breakfast (not great variety, but it was free)

Family Friendly for the Budget Traveler
MDDDO Jul 13, 2009
I was in town on business for the first half of the trip and then some personal vacation time. The staff was cooperative and ... the continental breakfast was better than most hotels (fruit, cereal, hard-boiled eggs, waffles, juice, etc.). The rooms were a little dingy and I got a couple of bug bites (spider bites it appeared) on the first night in the room, which left me weary of its sanitation. They do not have a gym on site, but there is one <10 minutes away that can be used. Good location in terms of access to highway and local restaurants.

Shower water was not consistent. Hot then cold, then Really hot and then really cold. Bed was old and very hard, currled up ... at one end. Could not sleep well at all either night. Sink was cracked and needed to be replaced. If not for the location and staff friendliness I would not recomend this hotel to a friend.

RAMADA IN VALLEJO IS AWFUL!
A disappointed couple Jun 7, 2009
First impression: This hotel was picked simply to be close to Marine World. Otherwise, we'd never be here and never will be ... in the future. Staff as soon as we got in gave a horrible welcoming vibe. She seemed stressed and annoyed which is something you DO NOT want to show guests. Pros: Location is decent. A lot of stores, restaurants nearby and the theater is close by as well. Continental breakfast is available too. Cons: The hotel itself is outdated and run down. Our room was grungy, the wallpaper and walls were unfinished, the shower water temp was always changing, toilet was running and the sink was clogged! Our queen size bed was not a bed, more like a queen size cardboard. It did not even have a matching headboard which was the size for a king size bed! Remote barely worked and we had to adjust the cable cord to get a clear picture. Also this hotel allows pets so be warned to hear random dogs barking. Overall: Horrible hotel, horrible experience.

Good value
Sarahb in SF May 27, 2009
For what it is (just a Ramada), this was a good hotel. We had a nice stay here. The room was so-so (TV stations were ... occasionally staticky), but it was quiet. We came with the intention of doing laundry and were happy to see that their laundry room had two working washers and dryers. They don't have a fitness center on site, but you can use the local 24-hour fitness, which is about a ten-minute drive. Getting access to the club is really easy (just bring your room key and an ID) and the club is laid out nicely. It was defintely worth the short drive to be able to work out at a real gym for free.

I would advise not to get takeout from Mountain Mike's Pizza. There was a laminated menu card in the room that made it look like a good option, but our experience was not good. They said our pizza would be ready in 20 minutes, but we had to wait an extra 10-15 minutes beyond that. We picked up the pizza at the place itself to avoid the "small delivery fee," and I was astounded by how messy and run-down the place was. They were clearly understaffed and the eating area had food and trash strewn all over the place. It was amazingly gross.

Rafael Oct 1, 2008
We checked in and girl at front desk was very pleasant and accommodating. We went to our room and found hair in the bed, we ... always turn sheets down as we get into room. The entire hotel needs to be remodeled, which is what they were doing. Hundreds of pieces of furniture were in the parking lot and the hallways. We were moved into another room and the sheets also had hair, so we asked for clean sheets and changed the bed ourselves. The carpet was very dirty, there was furniture in the room that did not match and it was cluttered. A big armour sat in front of the window and we could not get fresh air. The room was non-smoking, but smell of cigarrettes. I'm sorry to say it was not a very pleasent stay at this Ramada. I have stayed in other Ramada's which have been very good, in Los Angeles and in San Francisco.

The Ramada Vallejo/Napa was in a great location easy access to Six Flags and freeways. The first room we had had blood on ... the sheets and a bloody Q-tip on the floor. The bath tub was dirty. The second room they gave us was cleaner. The pool was out side and very dirty. No breakfast was ever out. Guest laundry room was dirty machines broken. The water temperture was very dangerous it would go from SCALDING HOT to ICE COLD in seconds. The hotel is very out dated.

Observation(plenty of parking spaces). The security lock on the door was broken. Some of the wallpaper was pealing. The ... controls on the shower/tub were plumbed backwards ie. hot was cold. There was a tray for the coffee with all the amenties but no pot or heater. I had to unplug the little refrigerator so I could get to sleep (very noisy). It looks good from the road.
