Located directly on Corpus Christi Beach, overlooking the Corpus Christi Bay. Next to the Aquarium Village. The USS Lexington Aircraft Carrier Museum and the Texas State Aquarium are both within walking distance from our hotel. Parts of the movie Pearl Harbor were filmed on the USS Lex and the Aquarium has a dolphin bay with daily shows. We sell discount tickets at our front desk for both of these attractions. They are open 362 days out of the year. Also, Corpus Christi has some world renown birding sites - Hazel Bazemore Park, Blucher Park, Hans Suter Wildlife Park. Pet accommodation 20.00 per night, under 20 Lbs. Pool closed until March 1st 2009 for maintenance.

"It was just a night but it was great"

My girlfriend and I were looking for a great place to stay for a night that was close to Uss lexignton, and texas state ... aquarium and and we found it here. The staff was very nice and let us check in 15 min early, and there was a working jacuzzi, so all in all it was great

Great price for the location

I was on vaction at this location and it had a beautiful view. The rooms looked great and clean. My only complaint was that ... the bathroom left a bit to be desired in cleanlyness. The bathtub shower curtain was about to fall down and the tub needed some work. But for the small amount of time you spend in the bathroom, the price is great for the rest of the room and the experience.

Hotel was right on the beach which was nice, couldn't get in the water due to jelly fish but that's not the hotels fault. The ... pool & hot tub were great at the hotel. The rooms were very small and cramped but we did manage to get a cot in by moving things around. You get what you pay for really..

The hotel was rather dumpy and rundown. The beds were comfortable and sheets were clean. The window unit AC had a hard time ... keeping up due to the drafty door and attic heat coming in from the old central heating. The location was superb. We parked the car and walked everywhere. I would strongly recommend traveling to Mustang Island for the beach experience. The beach is much cleaner and not as crowded.

Took my granddaughter age 10 for a nana vacation. We did stay on the inside part of the hotel and the room was really clean ... and nice. Big shower; staff was very nice and helpful. Great pool and also right on the beach and walking distance to the activities we had planned. I think this motel has really improved in the last year. Also very kid friendly.

We LOVED the stay. The best part is the beach its your own back yard. My grils had a blast runing from the salty water back ... to a clean and great pool. My husband and I loved the breez and the walk on the beach stay out as long as you like Security guard on duty at night. pool is open until 11pm great. and Thank you Al for all of your help in finding Selna's Musume. Great Breakfast and great staff. Go you will love it food places all around you, you don't even have to drive try Dots ice cream it is great.

A pearl on the Corpus Christi Beach

We have stayed at the best hotels, in Chicago, Quebec, New Orleans, New York, San Fran and Disneyland Anaheim Ca. We have ... rented Beach houses, in Galveston Texas. So we knew what we wanted in a hotel, on the beach in Corpus Christi. It was what we wanted and what we expected. SS Lexington and the Texas State Aquarium are walking distance from the hotel. Sunset and sunrise where great!! Will do this again in November, but will get the Cabana (They face the beach), which you can step out on the beach from the first floor rooms. Are room faced the pool, which was great, for my Grandson (5 YrsOld) and me. Wife loved the Beach!!

The location was great...the breakfast was not very good,have had better and paid less per room.The doors required slamming ... in order to close. The room that my and son and daughter in law stayed in needed to be cleaner. The sheets seemed not to have been changed upon their arrival on the first night.

This was a good hotel. They had a frindly staff especially on the week-end. The breakfast was nice and I loved the fact that ... they had safes in the rooms for personal property. The location was also great..just about walked to what ever I needed.

For a family week end it was great. We walked to the aquarium. We went swimming in the pool and went to the beach. The pool ... is large 3 foot to 8 foot deep with nice shaded areas to get out of the sun and also had shaded areas on the beach. The room was an average room with every thing you need like refrig micro wave and stove. I think it was priced to high for the quality of the room. Must be high priced because it is the summer season. Are main reason for the visit was a concert at America Bank Center that is just over the brige.

Go grocery shoping and buy things to make in the room like hot pockets, sandwiches and drinks and icecream pops.

Location was ideal. "Authentic" eateries close by, USS Lexington and Texas State Aquarium an easy walk. Hotel is right on ... the beach, which was never very crowded. Only down side was that the rooms felt gritty with sand. Definitly worth the money because of the location.

wonderful get away for the price

We enjoyed the stay. The rooms were clean Great price for the location. The only problem is that there are only stairs to get ... to the second floor and when you have a lot of luggage that can be tiresome. But for two floors we understand the lack of an elevator. We had a wonderful time and that is what we needed. Thanks for making it easier on us Orbitz! WE LOOK FORWARD TO THE NEXT TIME and will use this motel again even though the beds werent the most comfortable.

We didnt stay in the corpus beach area except for one day and evening. We went to the Lexington and the Aquarium and looked in the few shops. Ate at Black Beards in the evening (very expensive at night).Great music. We ate in town a few nights. Had great chinese food and mexican food.Spent a few days at the beach in Port Aransas and Padre Island beaches. Wonderfull beaches and facilities. Virginias restaurant in Port Aransas was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend it. All in all it was a great week.

The pool area was a BAD. The staff did not control who used the pool area. We watched entire families move from the beach ... to the hotel pool area, set up thier own mini vacation and use what should have reserved for the guest. Only once did we see the staff try to control the situation. It look like someone yelled Border Patrol, the pool area emptied and the "guest" ran for the streets. I asked the staff why it took so long, they replied it was up to the real guest to complain. My last stay at this place!

The Best Location!

We are a family and never had to drive while we stayed here! There were a few things that need improvement considering we had ... a pretty huge leak in our bathroom, the cold water handle was missing from the bathroom faucet and the bathroom door didn't lock. Even after all that though the hotel was nice, so was the staff, the pool was awesome, but the best part of all was the location right on the beach! We walked to the ship, aquarium, and dinner. I saved so much money on the hotel and gas! We will for sure stay here again because my children had the best time and loved every minute of their stay!!!
