In the midst of remodeling.
GiGi & Grdpa Nov 4, 2009
Went to Fisherman's Wharf. Great location for that. The hotel apparently has been remodeling since 9/09. Their "breakfast" ... consisted of donuts, cereal, juice, cofee & some fruit. They served this on a couple of carts on the 3rd floor, IN THE HALL, right off the elevator. No place to sit, had to balance food back to room to eat! Why didn't they set aside a room for this? Very sad situation for a Marriott!!

Comfortable Stay
Marathon Runner's Mom Oct 19, 2009
We were in town for the Nike Women's Marathon. The hotel was close enough to Union Square but we didn't have all the ... congestion. The hotel was under some construction so the check-in desk was a tight squeeze but when we got up to our room we were very impressed. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were very modern and clean. I would have no worries about staying here again.

"Under Construction???"
san francisco lover Oct 14, 2009
It would have been nice to know that everything (EXCEPT GUEST ROOMS) was under construction. There wasn't even a lobby (in ... it's place was a desk surrounded by plastic sheets). I would have picked a different hotel that wasn't under construction in the area. That's too much money to pay and not receive all the services that were expected, and listed.

It was fine. The property is renovated with the lobby still in the process. It was a very busy weekend(Fleet week) and the ... staff made an extra effort to find transportation for us to a dinner theatre. The beds were comfortable and it was surprisongly quiet given you are in the middle of the tourist area. Staff were very friendly.

Doctor Z Aug 6, 2009
Location is a block off the wharf. It is near everything. Ease to get to. Parking was available, but was expensive, no ... different than the other hotels in the vicinity. The room was stylish and clean. I would stay there again. It is on a busy street and if you have a choice, book an inside room not facing the street. I was disappointed that for the price that they did not have a continental breakfast, just coffee. Famous bakery serves breakfast one block away is a good alternative,

You may want to get away from pier 39 or Fishermans wharf if you want a good meal with good service. Resturants at the wharf tend to be like fast food. Get you in and fed, get you out to open the table.

This hotel's decor is incredible. The rooms have lots of space for a family and are immaculate. The best thing about our stay ... was the concierge, [...]. He helped us with every aspect of our stay from dining to directions. He is an asset to the hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to be near the main attractions of San Francisco. It is a short walk to Fisherman's Wharf and many other fun things to do.

Was within walking distance of major attractions: wax museum, ripley's believe it or not, aquarium of the bay, etc...Staff ... was friendly enough but there were long wait times at the front desk. Parking came to $37 for each 24 hours period, holy smokes that's high!! Room was clean and quiet, and very nice.

I reserved a King with a sleeper sofa. I was given, which is all they had, a queen. They did offer and immediately ... delivered a rollaway. The room was also fitted for handicapped, so the bathroom was huge but with no counter space. Awkward when getting ready in the morning.

Enjoyed our Stay
JT Jul 1, 2009
We stayed at this hotel June 25 - 28, 2009. The location was excellent, about 1 block from Fisherman's Wharf and Ghiradelli ... Square. The rooms were very clean and modern with extremely comfortable beds. The location was a little noisy but not excessive for a city hotel. The hotel has a breakfast buffet for about $12.95 which we found to be a little pricey. There was complimentary coffee in the lobby. The staff was helpful and friendly. The only complaint we had was the parking which is in an adjacent parking garage and costs $30 per night. Then the City of San Francisco hits you with a "Parking Tax" which was about $13 for 3 nights. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others.

Surrounded by wonderful restaurants, an incredible bakery and the sites and sounds of the Wharf. The room itself was fine, 2 queen beds with nice bedding, a club chair and desk & chair.
