The newly renovated Wyndham Drake Oakbrook hotel is at the eastern end of Oakbrook, a fashionable suburb of Chicago. Oakbrook is the home to a combination of fortune 500 companies and opulent suburban elegance. The hotel is convenient to numerous gold courses and the upscale Oakbrook center shopping mall. It offers easy access to both O'Hara International airport and also Midway airport which are located just ten miles away. The convenience of downtown Chicago is about 20 minutes west of the hotel.

The hotel was nice, but didn't have a concierge. the staff was not well versed with directions to Chicago's attractions. They ... offer a shuttle to drive you to a train station in order to see downtown Chicago when making a reservation , but there's only one, and it's never there. It also takes about an hour to get there,because you must also take a bus. If you stay at this location you are forced to end your day early as transportation from downtown to this area stops early.

Good hotel for the price.........

Did not stay in the main building so contact with the staff was primarily limited to checking in and checking out. However, ... when I did advise them of a few things, I received courteous and appropriate responses. Good location, plenty of parking. Other than the Internet, did not use courtesy valet, shuttle, restaurant or any of the other amenities because they were in a different building and a considerable walk from my room. Good deal for the price but would only return if I could stay in the main building.

Oakbrook Shopping Center is about a half mile away. The shops are plentiful and there is also many restaurants and even a movie theater The is a great out door mall to visit for the Christmas holidays.

Basic hotel with friendly staff. Would rate a 2.5-3.0 hotel as the rooms were average, not overly nice but better than ... some. Walls/doors were thin, allowing you to hear others in adjacent rooms/hallway. An older hotel with some minor renovations to bring it up to a 3-star.

I was there on a business visit. Looking for an economic place to stay. Check-in was quick but the keys they made did not ... work twice. On the third attempt, they changed the room. Rooms were nice and clean but the sink and tub the water does not drain. This is one thing they need to improve on. Other wise the front staff was courteous and they gave the wake up call promptly. I would stay again but they need to keep the bath room sink and the tub draining.

The room had an odor that was quite annoying. The temperature of the room was very warm and even with the thermostat ... turned down it still was very uncomfortable. I had to call down to the front desk after 10:00 p.m. because the guest in the room next to ours had children running around and making loud noises. I did not get the VIP service I am accustomed to when staying at a Wyndham hotel

A little difficult to find, but overall a pleasant stay. Friendly hotel staff and comfortable atmosphere. A good distance ... from downtown Chicago, but the train stop to take you there is not too far.

The Wyndham Drake Oakbrook Hotel was just what I was looking for: clean, quiet, central location to the Chicago Suburbs. My ... room was large and comfortable. Lack of free internet access and a very poor fitness center are my only disappointments.

The Westin Drake Oakbrook was in a very nice area. The room was not ready when we checked in at 8pm, but the staff gave us a ... $50. food voucher. I kept having to go back and forth th the front desk to get keys made as rthey weren't working properly as well as the remote for the tv.

We give this hotel an A++++ for comfort, cleanliness and surroundings. Oakbrook is a beautful suburb and restraunts and ... shopping are closeby. We are from Phoenix Az and for a first time visit to Chicago we had no problem finding the hotel. Our room was nicely decorate with a desk, microwave, and small fridge. The hotel ammenities were great and we highly recommend this one!

The Wyndham's staff was helpuful friendly and professional. When I opened my door to my room, I was pleased, very, very ... pleased. Clean, fresh and had all the right amenities. My guest and I were provided with a free shuttle to dinner to and fro! Wow what service. The dining area and bar were elegant and the garden view was simply beautiful. The Oakbrook area was clean with excellent landscape. The hotel was very close to the Oakbrook mall and the mall had several excellent dining venues to choose from. I had an excellent weekend.
