Great location with helpful staff
Fans of Italy Dec 24, 2009
Spent the last few days of our trip (combination business/pleasure) to Italy there before flying out. The Michelangelo had ... been recommended by a business friend and met our expectations. It is in a great location...close to the train station, metro, and airport transportation. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was excellent, but the hotel restaurant was barely adequate, compared to our other meals in Italy. We will, without question, stay in this hotel again when in Milan.

We would recommend buying an inexpensive 24 hour Metro pass. It's an easy way to get to any part of the city for sightseeing and shopping.

clean and convenient + free b-fast!

Great access to Milan's Central Train Station as well as bus connections to Malpensa airport. Both literally across the ... street! Room rates include breakfast buffet which is huge - enjoy watching the machine squeeze your own glass of orange juice. And superb restaurant across the street - Gillio Rosso, which I never miss eating at. For frequent travelers to Milan, this hotel is great.

Good choice in Milan
Peter Jul 24, 2009
Four of us (two couples) enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Michelangelo. The location is outstanding--directly across the street ... from one of the main train stations and about 100 meters from a main Metro stop. We used the easy to navigate Metro to get everywhere in the city. The rooms are clean, but the decor is ready for an update. The breakfast was superb. All in all a very good deal for the money.

If you plan on seeing "The Last Supper" painting please book it through a tour company before arriving in Milan. Walk up viewings are hard to come by.

Perfect hotel for first timers in Milan
Pete Jul 24, 2009
This hotel was perfect for our short tourist stay in Venice. It is located across the street from Central Station. All most ... all Air and Train travel into Milan has to go through Central Station. A couple of Euros get you a whole day pass on the Milan metro. The hotel itself was only slightly above average but the location, front desk service, and complimentary breakfast made the stay not only enjoyable but one I would recommend to friends and family. - Majority of historical sites are not within walking distance of the hotel, do not stay here if you are not comfortable taking the Metro.

Easter 2009
Just Me Apr 23, 2009
I booked this hotel on last minutes notice while in Italy on Easter holiday. My group was very happy with our choice, it was ... close to the rail and metro stops in Milan. The front desk recommended a nice area for dining out. In the morning we had a buffet style breakfast with a mix of American and European style foods, that was an added plus considering my cousins are from Europe.
