Good Stay

Was in town for 3 nights and had a pleasant stay. Staff was friendly and got me checked in rather quickly. Convenient gift ... shop and Red Robin restaurant located in the hotel. They also had a fitness center, which was nice to be able to get in some cardio, although one of the two ellipticals was broken and seemed to have been for quite some time. Was located right off the highway and Elephant Bar was across the street also. Was about a half an hour away from everywhere I needed to go, but didn't mind the drive. Only problem was that the man at the front desk was slow in checking me out. Would stay there again if in the area.

I enjoyed the make your own waffles for breakfast. The Happy Hour was nice too. And I was happy for the Business Center, to ... get online to make a reservation that we needed to make before returning home. My only complaint is that the lady in the Lounge could've been friendlier.

There is an awesome Red Robbin on location that serves fantastic food and has a great bar to hang out in. Be aware though, the bar there and bars in surrounding area close at midnight due to some local ordinance.

The hotel and hotel staff were awesome! I was there for the weekend to see a soccer game at the Home Depot Center and was ... really impressed with both location and cleanliness of hotel. I would definitely stay here again!

We specific ask Orbitz a non-smoking room because we travel with a child, we get to hotel and they told us that orbitz ... requested a smoking room, also the front desk person say that for orbitz clients they just provided whatever is available because the rate is cheap and the people who pay full is the people who has priority and even we told the front desk person we travel with a child they did not care about and they did not do anything to help us to get a non-smoking room.

Our stay at Holiday Inn, La Mirada was sweet and sour. Positives: Great Location,Very Clean and Quite.Excellent house ... keeping staff and very safe with ample parking space. Wireless Internet connection was a plus. Need Improvement: Request for early check-in was not handled professionally, although the hotel was informed a day in advance. The Staff hesitated to oblige but when they were pressed that we talk to the manager, the room was made available then. Conclusion: The stay was pleasant, but the staff which is the face of the hotel needs work on their customer relationship.

Beware if Handicapped

The toilet had a 6 inch high rise toilet seat that was so tall your feet didn't touch the ground. A request for a shower ... chair was met with the reply that they did not have any. Difficulty with the toilet and the inability to get a shower make this a poor choice for disabled travelers.

Our recent stay at this hotel was very comfortable. The room was large enough and very clean. It was very nice to have a Red ... Robin restaurant inside the hotel and The Elephant Bar right across the steet which another plus. The location was also convenient as we were attending a concert at the Cerritos performing art center which was about 15 minutes from the hotel. The only disappointment I had with the room is that I was looking forward to a nice bathtub, which this did not have. It was very small. It also had a convenient coffe maker, however there were no condiments that were left by housekeeping. We were able to track down a housekeeper who stated that she was not the one that had attended to our room.

I was pleasantly surprised when I checked in at the Holiday Inn. In this mostly industrial area I was not expecting such a ... fresh and comfortable hotel. The room was spotless and the staff was very willing to help. The location was perfect as I was teaching at a nearby College. It was nice and quiet so that I could get the rest that I so desperately needed.

The Holiday Inn Select was our residence for three days. It was nicely appointed,provided easy access from the highway, and ... was a garden in the midst of commercial/industrial environs. The room was set up more for business-oriented, working travelers than vacationers. The open style of sink cabinetry was different but provided easy access to shelf storage, towels, and plumbing. The curtain around the tub was difficult for short people to manipulate. The upper ledge of the shower stall in our room was neglected in daily cleaning responsibilities. The staff were very accommodating. A request for directions to Biola University resulted in a pre-printed sheet with driving directions.
