The hotel was very accomodating. It was our anniversary and we were upgraded to the next level room. The hotel also gave us ... sparkling wine and chocolate covered strawberries as a gift. Very nice!! Allowed us an extra hour on check-in. Were very nice about removing a mischarge error on the mini-bar.

I booked reservations at this hotel to attend a company function. I have stayed in New Orleans many times in the last 30 ... years working for New York Life. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in New Orleans at your hotel. I have walked past your hotel many times in the past. Your hotel is a gem of a place to stay. Your hotel is a nostalgic walk in the New Orleans past with modern day services.

The Best part of New Orleans

One of the world's great hotels. Conveniently located a block from a street car, four blocks from Bourbon Street and the ... French Quarter, a few blocks to the Super Dome and much more. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the city sights and offerings. The hotel's restaurant had probably the best food we ate in New Orleans and trust me we ate a lot of food at many different restaurants.

It was wonderful. The location was perfect as it was not right in the French Quarter, yet close and private. The staff was ... awesome, especially the bartender, [...]. We enjoyed their late night snacks of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and hot chocolate. Everything was perfect.

I stay at this hotel once or twice a month for work. It truly feels like my home away from home. The staff is amazingly ... friendly and helpful, and the decor is elegant, with a touch of tacky. I love the nightly hot chocolate treat, especially after I've earned it at the fitness center. The restaurant is very good, but expensive. This hotel is a short walk from the French Quarter, but I like that. I recommend this hotel highly to all my friends!

Disappointing, to say the least

This hotel was an utter disappointment. While the stories from the old days might be grand, this hotel is far from it. The ... hallway smelled of chlorine bleach, but did not look as though it has been vacuumed. Our bedroom was small, smelly, and had not been cleaned thoroughly. The bedding had not been updated since 1970, as well as the dingy carpet and drapes. There were nail clippings on the floor, and the fridge in the minibar was a cool 80 degrees. We checked out that same day and found a new hotel.

Le Pavillon is a classic hotel without the creaky floors or mold. The decor is artful and the service is wonderful. The ... concierges knew where to send us each night for music and good eating, even knowing the holiday hours of various establishments.

The service staff were efficient and very friendly. We liked the location on Poydras Street. It was convenient to the ... places we went. We were in New Orleans to attend the grand opening of three new sections of the World War II Museum. We also took a carriage ride, a cruise on the Natchez on the Mississippi River, went to church at St. Patrick's Cathedral. The coffee shops were great, too.

EVER SEEN & I HAVE SEEN MORE THAN I WISH TO ADMIT TO.SURPRISINGLY REASONABLE PRICES. DINING IN THE CRYSTAL ROOM IS AN EXPERIENCE. DON'T MISS IT IF YOU CAN SPEND $ 100 -$200 ON DINNER.

This hotel was fantastic, a little gem that is a quick walk from the heart of New Oeleans. At all times staff were pleasant ... and helpful, right from the initial valet to the cleaning staff. The room was ultra-clean, as were the rest of the hotel facilities. The bed and linens were quite comfortable, and a wide selection of luxuries were available including a "poured bath menu". The tradition of serving peanut butter and jam sandwichs at night to guests was pleasant touch. The best facility I have stayed at in the city of New Orleans.

Tired hotel

We booked a room at this hotel last-minute to attend a Saints game. The location was very close to the Dome and there was not ... much else available nearby, so we took a chance on what looked to be a dated hotel on-line. The hotel proved to be very dated, smelled of smoke even though the room was non-smoking, bathrooms were old and decor awful. Fortunately, it was a 1-night trip. We would not recommend this hotel to travellers.

I had an amazing time at LP. I was in town for my fiance's birthday and LP really helped to make it a special weekend. Great ... location, and customer service. My only issues were the expensive parking fees (but you are going to pay anywhere in N.O.) and the bed sheets were not fitted and slipped off all night every night. I had to call the next morning to have the room cleaned because they never came to clean it on their own. But besides those minor complaints the stay was great, will stay again!

Emrils...A must! If you eat in the hotel, you are obviously ready to spend some money. At least get your money's worth visit Emrils.

I decided to stay here while in town for a conference, this was on the advice of my sister who stated it was possibly the ... best hotel she had ever stayed in. Indeed there are a lot of great things. Good location. Fairly nice antique decor. Free wifi. Free PB&J sandwiches each night. Nice rooftop pool. All the makings of a great great hotel. The old decor makes the place seem a little stuffy and unclean. I arrived in the evening and was very surprised to see the cleaning staff leaving my room at that hour. Entering the room, the place was small and a little stuffy. The aged bedding was an interesting choice but left the place feeling unclean. I immediately noticed hair on the pillow and an orange peel on the bed. The breakfast card had been filled by the previous guest. All these relatively minor offenses add up, but overall, I was still happy. The food in the hotel was good, and service was good though inconsistent. My enjoyment of this hotel came to an abrupt end on my last night there. I had noticed during the day a peculiar itch on the back of my neck and thought little of it. But on that fateful last night I was settling in bed and checked my phone. The light from the phone illuminated some movement on the sheet. I flipped on the light and there it was. BIG OL BED BUG! Gross! I squished him in some paper and to my horror found that he was ripe with my blood. It was about 3-4 am on my last night. I decided I would not be able to sleep even with a room change so I set to watching TV until morning. I went to check-out, and had high hopes for appropriate compensation... WRONG! The lady was friendly but clearly had no grasp of the gravity of the situation. I got $7 of phone calls ($1 each) and a free breakfast. ARE YOU KIDDING!?! She assured me that the incident would be investigated but made no move to compensate me appropriately. She took my email. I expect I'll need to follow this up. I'll post any relevant updates if possible. Until then, steer clear. If I wanted to stay in a bed full of bugs that would feast on my blood as I sleep, I could've had that for $29 a night ... or whatever the hourly rate is. Thanks for nothing Le Pavillon, you can keep your PB+J.

Technically if you're planning on hanging around in the French Quarter/Bourbon Street area, you probably don't need a rental car. Save money on rental and parking! There are trolleys and cabs all over!

It's close to the French Quarter if you want to go there. No restaurants in the immediate are, but a long walk to the Quarter or you have to take a taxi or drive.

Choose your dining destination or at least your perfered cuisine / restaurant before heading out. Although there is a lot of great food to be had, there is also a lot of restaurants that offer mediocre versions of local favorites geared towards tourists who wouldn't know better.

Everyone who visits the French Quarter should eat at Irene's at least once. It's on the corner of St. Philip and Chartres, so prepare for a 25-minute walk or get a taxi. The food is a little pricey, but FABULOUS, and the service is some of the best in the Quarter.
