Would recommend to friends! The staff was great and very helpful. Needed to add an extra night and they were great with ... making that happen and letting me stay in same room. The pool was great. Walked to several casinos and to Heavenly Gondola. Hotel had a private beach that was only a couple blocks away. Had a room with a balcony, and even though all it overlooked was the pool, it was a nice place to sit and read and enjoy the lovely weather. Wireless service was excellent and available in rooms. Another great thing about the location is that it is off the main drag; and so not much traffic or traffic noise at all. I would stay here again any time I come to Tahoe.

The Rooms we were in were the older ones which needed TLC. The picture you have is the newer additon which most of us were ... not in. It is definately older and uncomfortable. For the price I could have stayed at the Horizon Casino in a much nicer room.

Fun Weekend Getaway
Nanners Sep 1, 2009
We took our trip on the spur of the moment, we went to Harveys out door ampitheater to see Toby Keith in concert, because of ... the distance from Reno to tahoe we wanted to spend the night. I went on Orbitz to try and find a resonable rate and you had this one listed. It was great it all worked out perfectly and we had an enjoyable stay and our room was perfect.

Decent value -- maybe
Ted S. Aug 17, 2009
This hotel is in a pretty good area. They seem to be everywhere, in fact. Unforunately, the Rodeway is not quite within ... convenient walking distance of any place in particular (unless the weather is mild and you're a good walker). We ended up driving (though not too far) if we wanted to eat, shop, gamble, go to the lake, or sight-see. The room itself was decent, though certainly nothing to write home about. It was on the small side, the our tiny balcony overlooked the parking lot. The bed was fine, though; we both slept all right, and the room was clean. The showers and toilet worked, though the sink was slow to drain. The TV was smallish but had cable. We also had Wi-Fi Internet access, free, though it was rather slow. The complimentary breakfast was so-so: cereal, packaged danishes, and toast with peanut, jelly, or butter. Beverages included juice, coffee, and tea. Your stay comes with a pass to a nearby private beach, which is a nice little perk. (Not sure how much it would have cost to access the beach otherwise.) The pool was pretty small. We didn't go in, so I can't say anything about the temperature. Same goes for the jacuzzi. A point about the pool, though: The hotel is split into two parts across the street from one another, so it's conceivable that if you book a room, you'll have to go outside and cross the street to swim or soak. Bottom line: The room was probably worth around 70 dollars per night if you just need a place to rest your head. If you're looking for an especially nice, comfortable place with good amenities, or something romanic, look elsewhere.

NOISY...balcony over wedding chapel which seemed to host a wedding every hour. Did I mention NOISY. We got the inside room, ... thinking it wouldn't be NOISY, but the people in the halls even worse. Have I mentioned NOISY. Billing errors, gave me a copy of my registration that had my address but someone elses CC info. and finally did I mention NOISY. Don't come here if you want even 15 minutes of sleep. Although right between the beach and the casinos, dark and risky to walk around.

OK for the last minute
Sandra Aug 5, 2007
The Rodeway Inn was ok. The room was small, the bed was standard. All in all it was the best we could do basically at the ... last minute. The staff in the office were very nice, the location is beautiful, behind the main street in Tahoe. It was ok. I do believe the price of the Inn on the weekends are just too expensive because its definetaly not even a 2 star. But if this is the best you can do on a spur of the moment, well, when you are asleep you don't know if you are in a 4 star or 1 star hotel anyway. Might go back if there are no other choices.

Not worth the money
Tina Jul 5, 2007
This Rodeway Inn was expensive for the quality of rooms they have. It's very close to the beach and within walking distance ... to the Nevada casino's and it's location is probably the only reason they get away with charging so much money for a Rodeway Inn. It is a very old hotel. The elevator was scarey! The rooms have old furniture and are very dark. They tried to modernize them as I could see our bathroom was remodeled. However, the toilet was not attched correctly to the floor and rocked! Good thing we all have a sense of humor! The mattress was old and sunken and it was just uncomfortable to stay there. We paid a lot per night to stay here even though it was a Rodeway in. Next time I would spend a little more for a better quality hotel.

Facility was within walking distance from the main casinos, room very neat, familty oriented and I felt safe walking to the ... bus stop at three o'clock in the morning. I would recommend the facility to any one planning a family vacation or a business trip especially if you are on a limited budget.
