After reading reviews, I decided to partake in the venture of staying here. I was accomadated with a handicap suite which ... appeared to be wider than the traditional suite in this hotel. I did not require such a room but was glad to partake in the space. The bed was a bit too soft for my taste but it came with 5 pillows! The linens and bed comforter was modern and in good taste, as was the carpet for hotel standards. The room itself was clean and refreshing. I had a large amount of sunlight in my room, but there were darker curtains that took care of this at times. There were minor maintenece issues like tarnished door knobs, tv update. There is an in room fridge and microwave. Cable selection was not that great, no BRAVO or Lifetime! So don't think you are going to settle in for the night for a good program,(15-20 channels) there was HBO. Breakfast was ok for the carb crazy kind, however there were egg patties, bacon and sausage. There is a waffle maker, but the consistency of the batter yielded a waffle with 2 3/4 waffle sections, boo. One computer in the lobby with printer. Bring long ethernet cable for laptop, not 100% sure if there was wireless. Front desk had Chuco lollipops for distribution, give me mints instead. I'd stay here as it was worth the $84/night, pay anymore and it would put a sour taste in your mouth.

The room was perfect. The morning breakfast was ordinary but tasty and had plenty selections. I felt very comfortable ... during my two nights there. The next time my wife and I travel to visit our kids we will stay at a Springhill Suites for sure.

The Washingtonian Rio center was a great place to unwind. I really enjoyed dining there and people watching.

unbeatable location for price
NY Sports Fan Jun 7, 2009
Hotel location to food, shopping and entertainment was excellent. Attended a retirement celebration nearby, so location was ... paramount. Quick registration, room was spotless, roomy suite with seperate sitting area, microwave and fridge. along with internet. I would return for family or business.

Close to restaurants, entertainment.

A suite is very convenient, since you have a small living room with another TV. The location is very good. Within walking ... distance (1/4 mi) of a lake surrounded on one side with restaurants, bars, theater. And continuing on a small town with various places to shop.
