The Bond Place hotel is in an absolutely superb location. The staff is okay, not rude, but then again nothing that great ... either. The rooms are a bit older, in need of a remodel. However, if you are looking for a clean room, with a great location, and at a good price, this is your hotel.

Great Place to Crash.
MikeyM Oct 5, 2009
A friend and I basically used the place to crash at the end of long days of sightseeing. I had been there once before in ... March of 2008, and it seems that the place has had a significant face-lift. The rooms were cleaner, more comfortable, and the building had changed to non-smoking. The Bond Place has morphed into a very pleasant hotel.

A simple hotel with clean room and friendly personnel. Nothing fancy, but it has hair dryer and coffee machine too. The room ... was sunlit most of the time. It didn't seem to be insulated from the street noise. The location is superb. Most sightseeing areas could be reached on foot.

It has great location. Full stop. Nothing else is great. There is no attached parking. Parking is not free. Staff is not ... helpful. Towels were very old and worn out. I did not use them after bath. Room was damp and smelling..had to open up windows. Icebox was very dirty. Very old air conditioner with no temperature setting. There was suffocation in the gallery. They did not allow early check in.

This is the hotel for the first timevisitors to the city. It's so centrally located in the dundas square with easy reach to ... subway, eaton centre, shops and restaurants. I've booked the hotel through orbitz and everything was uneventfull. The room was large enough with a large plasma display. There were enough storage space for all clothes. The bathroom however needed some revisions but was clean and neat. My room was facing the dundas square with all glorius action and lights. However I felt uncomfortable of the noise coming out of the hotel. But it was not too much and I got used to it. The hotel personel was very helpfull. Do not go to any cheaper hotel other than this because it will evetually cost you a lot more with added taxi costs. If you except higher service and luxury go for a higher priced hotel.

Can't be the location or price
Karli Jul 31, 2009
We came for a reunion and found we were never far away from where we wanted to be. The location is close to the Subway and ... close to shopping centers/other forms of entertainment. We had to ask more than once to get a hair dryer for our room. Some of the decor was a bit outdated and the bed kept scooting away from the wall, but these little things didn't detract from our stay.

Great Location- not worth the full price
lovestotravel Jul 15, 2009
We stayed for a personal vacation, booked through [...]. I would not have spent the asking price of $200 we paid 1/3 of that ... and if we paid more we would have been ripped off. We're glad we were only in the room to sleep. (I would recommend this to a friend only if they paid a very inexpensive price for it--- no more than about 80 a night)The only redeeming quality was the friendly bellhop and some concierge and the awesome location. We were a walking distance to the subway, food, entertainment, bus stop, mall, and everything imaginable. We also lucked out because the ice machine was right across the hall. the ice melted fast due to the warm rooms and there is only an ice machine on each 3rd floor.Upon check in they "lost" my reservation but did quickly "find it" when I pulled my conformation page. The hallway floors were sticky and the molding/ carpeting was ripped up our entire stay. No mention by the staff they were under renovation. The hotel is close to the main entertainment square which is good but the music was semi-loud until about 11pm and can be sorta heard in the room.Housekeeping kept shutting off the AC- even during the hot days, there were stains on the pillows and blanket. The bed was not very comfortable either.Note:Parking was an additional $15/night.

The 3 Brewers Brewery has awesome beer brewed there as well as great food. Their "Flamms" were like unique pizza's. Great service and price as well. The Pickle Barrel is also a close walk with an extensive menu with some very unique but great tasting items, friendly service and also great prices.

We were looking for an affordable hotel in the centre and the hotel was perfect for that. The room was not very impressive, ... clean but very simple and plain but then again we knew not to expect luxury for the money we paid for it. It's walking distance to Eaton Centre, the City Hall and many other places, we actually walked to the Harborfront and the CN Tower (twice in a day!) but would definitely catch a subway next time, our feet did hurt. :-) There's a gated underground parking structure across the street, $15 for 24 hours so your car will be safe.

broke college kids Jun 19, 2009
Location was really great. You have to remember you get what you paid for- The beds are stiff and the rooms are kind of small ... but clean. It was great for 2 broke college kids. Almost everything is within walking distance. Front desk was a bit off key. Could not even provide us with a map or where we could get one. Parking was difficult to find, Bond Place shares the parking with other businesses and it fills up quickly. Would stay here again just for the location and cheap rates.

Great location, but a bit of a madhouse
Sven Jun 16, 2009
This hotel seems to cater to large groups of students and young people. The lobby was always crowded with students, and it ... was a bit tough to get an elevator at times. I was given the wrong room initially. It looked like a dormitory room - plain with three small beds - and was definitely NOT the superior room I had prepaid through Orbitz. I was then upgraded to a very nice smaller room after complaining. The room I ended up in was very clean, with a modern and "hip" decor style and many nice features. The hotel has no stairs except the emergency exits - you have to wait on the (often slow) elevators to get to the lobby, even from the lower floors. Overall - a great location at a great price for Toronto, but a bit of a hassle because of the student groups and lack of a stairway.
